Another blood clan member is sent to kill them.
As he catches up to the three siblings, Shin gives a sword to Rin and tells Clad to take this and go. Clad looks at what Shin gave and is shocked. Realizing that it's the divine flower pill, he asks him on how he got it, and Shin tells him that they stole it before the meeting and had planned to split it among the three of them, but can't do that anymore. As the sibling attacks the blood clan member, they tell him to run.
"But we're supposed to be together!" he said as he cried out to them.
"Shut up! Don't waste time and go!" Shin says as he and Rin struggle to fight the warrior.
Tears fell across his face, but he didn't stop running, even when he heard the clashes and screams far behind him. He didn't stop because he knew that if he stopped and went back, it would only mean that their sacrifices would be in vain. He ran for miles, and as he continued to run, rain eventually fell, and on the verge of fainting, he fell in the now muddy dirt path on the ground on his left side, fatigued and depleted of all energy.
"I can't run anymore..." He takes heavy breaths, gasping for air. With the rain making the area moist and muddy, he almost forgot that he had the divine flower pill with him due to how tired he currently is.
"Should I eat this?" Clad thought to himself, as he remembered his siblings. His eyes watered, and they started raining too.
"I'm the only one of the clan alive anyway, so I might as well eat it right?" he thought as he consumed the divine flower pill, granting him divinity.
Suddenly, he felt his chest tighten, his heart beating fast, and he started to bleed from his nose, eye sockets, ears, and mouth. His body was in agony, and he was barely able to keep himself together due to the immense shock his body was receiving.
ARRRGGHH!!
He screamed in pain as he started to violently twitch like a dying bug. He grabbed the ground, trying to tolerate the pain, but it was too much for him to handle as he started to suddenly feel an extreme sense of fatigue and numbness run all over his body.
"No, I can't die like this," Clad said as his faint voice barely let out coherent words.
"I...no..."
"....."
Clad eyes shut themselves as he stopped breathing; all there was left of that night was a motionless boy,blood, and rain.
