"I am giving you no more than an hour to give me the exact location of my daughters," Jack said, slamming a table, making everything on it drop to the ground in one swoop motion, a weak sickly sickly-looking, far older Vampire said.
"My lord, I… I need more time; the crystal ball is unpredictable and mostly unreliable. After filtering out the information, the best I can do is give you an estimate based on general location."
"Well then, if you're useless, why are you still in the Envy castle? I could kill you while in my sleep, so you'd better get to work; you have less than an hour and counting."
Jack had practically torn apart every avenue he could use to find his daughters. It was obvious they were in danger, and her could not use other Vampires, because they were Dhampirs, his last hope was this Gypsie type Vampire, one of his subordinates had turned.
…
While in the white room, Serena had felt every part of the wall and realized there were two avenues to get out, one was the front door, which would obviously be guarded, and the other was the vent above the room, completely white, laced with tiny holes, but it looked just like the wall, just felt different.
First, she hacked the security camera to randomly play previous clips that looked like they could go together, then her hair, eyes, and skin turned yellow, and she used her claws to open it up, then afterwards, covered it like nothing happened.
At the speed of light, she walked through the vents until she found the one leading to Seraphina's room and opened it up then, Seraphina turned to her direction, then looked away, like she was ignoring her, but Serena felt this was the best outcome, so her security camera won't pick up on any interaction between them, then after tapping into Seraphina's camera, she asked.
"Seraphina, I know a way out. We don't have much time; we can fight after we get out of this place."
"You know what, I like this place much better than being around you."
"What?"
"You just waltz into my life and develop this main character attitude, I have your face, Seraphina, and I have always been geographically desirable to Lance, but you appear from nowhere and he starts flirting with you, I'd rather be alone than have to deal with the fact that you are perfect and I'm not," Serena replied
"Sorry but, get yourself together, if I have noticed anything it's that we are stronger together, so regardless of your feelings right now I need you, so get your butt up and let's go" Then she took her twins hand not waiting for a response, then they got to where the air was coming from, and there they found plains of land, they never knew existed.
"Off in the distance lay the Light mansion, which means we must be in their garden," Seraphina said
"Or battlefield," Serena remarked, pointing over to craters in the land.
"We must get out of here."
"Way ahead of you on that one, I've found a route; let's go."
Hand in hand, one with luminous yellow hair, eyes, and skin, the other with red instead twin sisters, traversed the plains of land with speed that even light could not keep up with, and as soon as they forcefully got out the gate, loud sounds came from inside, then there they saw Elaine, with luminous violet hair eyes and skin.
They did not wait around to see what she would do to them, but the pressure she exerted was far higher than anything the mayor could compare to, and the sisters were powerless around him.
Soon they made their way to the house, but Jack was not around, and now that this Dhampir knew of their existence, she would not let them live peacefully. What were they tangled up in? This was the second time Serena was kidnapped over the weekend, and she just had to ask.
"Were you and Dad's life always so climactic?"
"Uh, I think you forgot I'm still mad at you. I only helped because I knew after your attempt, they would amp up security, probably sabotaging mine, but let me tell you one thing, if I found a way out of that place, I would have left you to rot."
Then she walked away, ever so majestically. Serena just scoffed and went to her room. There she took a bath and changed into the Armor her father gave her. Now it was each woman for herself; she needed to improve her combat standards. Instead of using the sword, she decided to hone her skills using a wooden replica.
Then, after getting out to train, to her shock, there he was, Lance, sitting on the wall, wearing something similar to last night, his hair a bit messy though.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, full of anger.
"Serena, chill, I just want to talk."
"After what happened, I don't think we have anything to talk about."
"Would you be happy if I told you that since your father once amputated me, I would never talk to you? Would you be happy if I said to you that your father raped my mom and that was how I was born? Would you be happy if I told you your father is one of the most awful Vampires in history?"
"Wait, you expect me to believe that?"
"I don't, but it's the truth, and I only told you this secret I never told anyone, this secret between me and my mom, because I can't help falling in love with you, and it breaks my heart to see you so angry at me for something I never did, you know what? You're just like my mom. "Then he descended the wall.
"Lance!" Serena called out to him, but there was no response. This information was just too hard to believe, there was the possibility that he was lying to aid his mother, and if what he said was true they were half-siblings, then again, her father did not help her and her mother despite their suffering, it was all too convincing but he had a motive to lie, so she just did not know what to believe.
