Serena woke up as early as she usually did but, on this day, she was extremely smiley, she took her bath, stretched and did the usual routine all smiles, she was going on her first date, in as much as the timing was practically in the middle of everything and there was another guy she left on read, she was actually excited.
But afterwards, she settled in a comfortable beanbag next to her bed, and her phone began to ring she saw Trisha Devlin on the phone hoping for the best but bracing herself for the worst.
"Hello, Trisha how did it go?"
"This is not Trisha, I want to inform you that the Devlin's are reputable and don't accept grades and references given to people by using their body as a medium of exchange, I am just as much a woman as you, but I don't go around with a for sale sign"
"Mrs. Allyssa Devlin, please I'd like to tell you all that about me on the media is completely wrong"
"None the less a criminal record dissolves your chances"
"But miss, I am a capable…" Before she could finish her sentence, the call was cut, Serena was not so happy anymore and honestly did not want to go on the date anymore, she took out her phone to text Caspian, telling him she did not want to go but then heard a car horn from outside then a knock on her door.
"Come in" Serena said it was Wendy she bowed and said,
"Young miss Mr. Caspian Raven is requesting an audience with you"
"Inform him I'm not ready, and he should reschedule" Wendy nodded and left to inform Caspian, but next there was another knock on the door
"Come in" she said but there was no response just another knock, then frantic knocks. Serena stood up then went to check out who was on the other side of the door, and there He was Caspian, dressed, in a black and white suit more lavish and sophisticated than anything she had ever seen him wear, and she was just overwhelmed, then he took her out of her trance saying
"Serena, please do not make me wait any longer, I booked all of Raven Park just so we could go on this date unperturbed," that was when Serena realized how underdressed she looked compared to him and replied
"Okay, I'll go and change into something more appropriate, maybe you could excuse me" he smiled and said,
"Why should I excuse you"
"I'm going to change"
"And we're dating, why delay the inevitable"
"We're not dating, just hanging out, at the park"
"Just the two of us"
"That was you're doing not mine"
"And you did not object"
"At this point you're practically tempting me to"
"I'm just kidding, did you think I was serious?"
"Just get out" she shouted jovially, after he left, she decided on wearing an elegant black velvet coat, on bell bottom black pants and a sleek white top, which she tucked stylishly to give a feminine touch, then as she got out, she said to him.
"We are going to the park and you're wearing a suit"
"Yeah"
"I don't think so"
then she removed his coat and tie and opened her lips to say something then he said
"Whoa, whoa take it slow, we are still in your house"
"Take what slow"
"you're practically stripping me"
"In your dreams I just thought your suit was way too formal for the park but a neat shirt and trousers go good together. What were you even thinking"
"Let's just go" Hand in hand they settled into his black SUV, and he began to drive, then started a conversation.
"So, what do you like to do in your free time?"
"I don't really have much free time; I mostly spend it doing ballet forms"
"And as for me, I read novels, books, I'd read you one sometime"
"A book, I don't really do fiction, it has little to no real-life impact and gives limited benefit"
"I'm sure the one I'd read you, won't be in the least bit boring"
"Well, I ain't looking forward to it"
"Oh well we're here"
The early morning sun was above the park yet the bright luminous neon lights that were attached to everything there was glowing, as luminous as they would at night it all looked unusual but beautiful.
First, they decided to take the rollercoaster, Seraphina left her coat in the car, as they settled on two seats next to each other
"Caspian, are you sure this thing is safe?"
"Serena, relax the first time is the scariest but once you get used to it it's better, it becomes fun"
"Is that supposed to make me feel better"
"Yes, From the way you are terrified you look like you've been on it once, and it was a bad memory"
"Actually, I have never been on it, this is my first time and you're freaking me out"
"Hold my hand" he said, and his voice felt so soothing.
She held on to him, lightly, but as soon as it started moving, she got terrified and began to hold him tightly like her life depended on it, she screamed so loudly it was giving Caspian a migraine.
After that ride, they came to a unanimous decision to only do things she was familiar with, next they went to an ice cream shop. And she wanted to order a strawberry flavored sundae, but unexpectedly instead of ordering something for himself he just said he wanted it with two straws. That was when it dawned upon her.
"Caspian you cannot be seriously"
"What if I told you I was"
"No, imagine how unhygienic that would be"
"Or should I instead order spaghetti"
"Okay, okay I think I like the ice cream"
Then while they were sipping it together, Caspian put his hand in it getting a little bit of it on his finger.
"Caspian why would you…" then he placed his hand on her nose silencing her then she shouted
"Caspian why would you!" taking some to place on his nose, and he took a picture of them, ice cream on her nose her hands on his hands, covered in ice cream.
It was a messy but romantic picture.
"You!" Serena exclaimed, he smiled and said,
"You know, you're so cute when you're not so uptight, so wait you're trying to say you thought I was uptight and despite that took me on a date"
"I saw all you hid, you're not so good at it, and the inner beauty within you, your innocence was what made me fall for you, your so sweet sometimes, others your sad, but when you get mad there is no talking it out with you" Strangely she felt good that there was someone who appreciated her for all of her not just the parts that were good for them it was a romantic moment, both of them looking deep into each other's eyes. Then he looked at her critically and exclaimed.
"Your face is so red, do you need water"
"No, I just need some time to take it all in all that you said"
"Well, what do you want to do next"
"Maybe I'll take you up on the spaghetti offer"
"Kay" then they went back into the car.
"Where are you taking me?"
"To the car"
"Why"
"To drive you somewhere"
"I know, but where"
"That's a surprise"
"I don't like surprises"
"Well, you'll love this one," In the car she asked, rather shyly
"So, you're not going to give me any hints"
"No, not a single one"
"Please"
"Okay why don't we talk about something fun"

"What is your type?"
"Well, I never really thought of that, I guess I would like someone mature who would not hold me back, like force me to be his housewife, and that person should be able to balance the little things that matter, with more important things in life"
"Well, how about appearance wise"
"I don't really have defined guidelines for my type, I could see you and decide your attractive or your just not"
"So, what do you think of me"
"You, you're not bad, in fact you check most of things I want I just don't know you well enough to make a decision"
"And you, you're just my type" Serena turned beet red, I mean could this guy not tone it down, it was just too much.
That was when they stopped over at her house.
"Caspian, what are we doing back over here?"
"Change into something nice and I'll take you to the surprise location" now she began to get scared he was literally being extra mysterious and she did not know how exactly she could deal with it; it was way too much. And she was getting more and more worried she might not like it, why did he ask her to dress up at all.
She went into her wardrobe, and decided to go for something elegant, since that was his primary preference, a black mermaid gown with black classic heels pearl earrings and her hair was side swept
As she left the building he looked at her extremely pleased, he was already back in his suit which looked ironed, not a single crease donning it.
