Ivy's POV

Every nerve in my body screamed as I struggled against the transformation. For ten endless minutes, I focused solely on my father's worried eyes, the searing pain, and my ragged breathing. My body wanted to shift, but I couldn't let it happen.

"You can do this, baby girl," my father encouraged. I nodded grimly, baring my teeth against another wave of agony.

"Fuck!" I screamed as my bones began to shift beneath my skin. Instinctively, I drove my father's claw deeper into my flesh, using the pain to anchor myself to human form.

The doctor approached with concern etched across his face. "Ivy, I think the claw is counterproductive. You're causing excessive blood loss."

I responded with a primal growl. "If you want me to stay human, then leave the claw alone. It's the only thing stopping me from shifting." My facial features began to distort, and I screamed again, pressing the claw deeper into my flesh.
