"Just beyond the Milky Way? Hmph… looks like he's been hiding there for a while."
Salina's eyes glinted coldly. "Then let's not waste any more time."
Ong!
Without another word, the three Saints—Salina, Lisa, and Basang—stepped into the golden vortex before them.
The Kamar-Taj portal technique was truly miraculous. As long as there was an anchor point—whether a location or a place one had once been—it could bridge even multiple dimensions with ease.
On Sanctuary II, Thanos was calmly overseeing his grand design—the chaos he had unleashed upon the Milky Way.
But as he reviewed his next phase, his instincts suddenly screamed.
A golden vortex had appeared in the rear hall—radiating an aura so oppressive it could only mean one thing: death had come for him.
Without hesitation, Thanos shattered the massive crystalline shell before him, igniting a blinding surge of power. His entire body blazed with gold and violet light as he launched himself into the void.
Just as the vortex stabilized, the three golden figures emerged within Sanctuary II—only to be greeted by a monstrous suction force and a deafening rumble.
The explosion hit like a tidal wave, devouring everything.
But Salina, Lisa, and Basang stood unmoved, their golden Cosmos shielding them as the firestorm swept past. The shattered remains of Thanos's mothership bloomed like a dying sun around them, an inferno of energy painting the void in crimson and gold.
Lisa's beautiful eyes flickered. "Cunning… cautious… and decisive. Just like the Thanos in Nebula's memories."
He hadn't even looked back—simply detonated his own mothership the instant he sensed danger.
For any civilization, a ship of this size represented unimaginable wealth—technology, resources, time. To destroy it without hesitation showed Thanos's ruthlessness.
And the explosion's power… was on a planetary scale.
Rumble—!
Though sound could not travel through space, the visual spectacle was breathtaking: a blinding blossom of fire engulfed the dark void, expanding until it illuminated a vast portion of the surrounding system.
The shockwaves tore through the vacuum itself—compressing, folding, and collapsing the very fabric of space. Tens of thousands of warships that formed Thanos's infamous Black Order fleet were instantly vaporized—obliterated into drifting motes of dust.
The dreaded army that had slaughtered countless worlds was gone in an instant.
Yet, Thanos did not mourn their loss.
Using the blast's momentum, he fled even faster. The power of the explosion could level planets—but it wouldn't stop whoever had come for him.
Thanos prepared to summon the Floating Throne, an artifact-class vessel capable of interstellar travel faster than any ship, armed with weaponry that could rival a dying star.
But before he could act, three golden streaks tore through the explosion—moving at superluminal speed.
Their radiance pierced the expanding inferno like divine spears.
Thanos barely had time to react.
The Mad Titan immediately abandoned his summoning spell and turned to strike with both fists.
BOOM!
Crimson and violet lightning erupted from his knuckles—power comparable to the mothership's detonation itself.
But before it could reach them, one of the golden figures accelerated—defying the tide of energy head-on, while the other two veered gracefully around in arcs of light.
Thanos's eyes narrowed. "What—!?"
The lead Saint exploded into a storm of golden lightning. The sheer density of it made Thanos's skin crawl—each spark carried enough energy to shred his body.
Instinct screamed: danger.
With a roar, he extended his right hand, summoning the Double-Edged Titan Blades. In his left hand, he pressed a gleaming gem into the weapon's hilt—the Mind Stone.
Power surged through him like a star gone supernova.
He spun the twin blades in front of him, forming a vortex of purple energy to block the incoming barrage.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The violent impact shook the void itself. The storm of golden lightning clashed against the twin blades, the explosion hurling Thanos backward through space.
But before he could stabilize, a second figure was already there—her short black hair framed by a halo of gold, her movements fluid and divine.
Countless shimmering motes gathered in her palms as she whispered the name of her technique.
"Aries's Final Art — Starlight Extinction!"
A cascade of celestial brilliance engulfed Thanos, twisting time and space themselves.
The Titan's vision blurred—he thought he saw a familiar woman's face in the light. But he crushed the illusion with sheer will and roared, pouring every ounce of energy into the Mind Stone.
Reality warped and screamed. Space buckled.
Energy layers shattered and reformed around him as he fought against the collapse. His skin tore, his arms split open with gashes that glowed like molten lava, and blood drifted out in scarlet clouds.
But he did not retreat. If he faltered, the distortion would rip both his body and his soul apart.
At last, the blinding light faded.
Thanos had survived—but barely.
He breathed heavily, scorched and bloodied, his expression grim.
Floating before him in perfect triangular formation stood the three Saints—Salina, Lisa, and Basang—their golden armor gleaming like miniature suns.
Thanos's mind raced. Who are they? Where did they come from?
"Who are you?" he demanded, his deep voice echoing telepathically across the vacuum. Even now, he sought to stall for time.
The Saints did not answer.
Salina's gaze fell to the Mind Stone embedded in his weapon, her eyes narrowing.
Another Infinity Gem.
Thanos caught the look and frowned. "So… you're after the Stone?"
He immediately dismissed the thought. Their killing intent was too sharp, too personal.
No—these warriors hadn't come for the gem. They'd come for him.
Salina spoke at last, her voice cold and clear. "You wield the Infinity Stone well… forcing your strength beyond its limits. It would almost be a shame to destroy such a specimen."
Her tone was like that of a scientist examining a rare creature.
"If we could bring your body back to Earth," she added with faint mockery, "our researchers would lose their minds."
Thanos sneered. "So that's it? Three against one?"
Lisa's eyes hardened. "You think you deserve fairness? You—a butcher of worlds?"
"Chivalry?" Thanos muttered bitterly. The word stung more than he expected.
Salina raised her hand, golden light flaring. "Countless souls cry out your name, Thanos. I hear their curses every moment. Allow me… to make you share their pain."
Her cloak billowed like living flame as she surged forward.
BOOM!
Space shattered beneath her as she moved faster than light, golden silk threads slicing through the void.
Thanos barely managed to react, his battle instincts saving him from instant death. His blades met her fingertip—
CRASH!
The collision exploded with cosmic force. The twin blades trembled, glowing white-hot. Were it not for the protection of the Mind Stone and their divine-forged alloy, they would have disintegrated instantly.
Even so, the impact hurled Thanos backward, blood spraying into the void.
Salina pursued without hesitation. Lisa and Basang exchanged a brief glance before following.
Three streams of gold chased a single streak of purple across the void—hunter and prey blazing through the stars.
Thanos cursed under his breath. Each of these warriors possessed power rivaling the Celestials themselves. Fighting one was madness—three was suicide.
Desperation flared. He ripped the gem from his weapon, clutching it in his fist, and slammed his punch into the space before him.
The fabric of reality itself cracked.
BOOM!
A surge of raw power erupted, forming a barrier of collapsing space that slowed his pursuers for a moment.
Thanos used that instant to flee—his massive form turning into a violet comet. He poured every ounce of his strength into propulsion, invoking forbidden magic to accelerate beyond safe limits.
His speed leapt past the speed of light.
Even the Saints were briefly taken aback.
"For someone below the Celestial level, that's… impressive," Lisa murmured.
But they knew he couldn't sustain it.
Without a word, the three golden Saints fanned out—left, right, and above—closing the distance with flawless synchronization. Their Cosmos flared to maximum intensity, their speeds rising without limit.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Salina darted to Thanos's flank, her finger glowing scarlet. "Crimson Light—Pierce!"
A beam of blood-red light lanced through the stars toward Thanos.
The Titan twisted aside, dodging narrowly—but the evasive maneuver slowed him just enough.
Lisa seized the moment. With a graceful sweep of her hand, she conjured a barrier of shimmering crystal blocks that expanded rapidly, forming a massive wall across Thanos's escape route.
His eyes widened.
The crystal wall stretched across an impossible span of space—blocking every path forward.
