Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Reincarnation in the Kamo Family

The night was as dark as ink, and the first wave of city lights had just flickered on. S City's streets pulsed with their usual evening bustle.

At a crowded bus stop, David Campbell, exhausted after a long day of work, stood with his shoulders slumped, eyes fixed on his phone while waiting for the next bus home.

Then, from a distance, a bus barreled forward, its engine's roar tearing through the quiet of the night.

David looked up just in time to see the vehicle swerving wildly, completely out of control. A sharp shock ran through him. He tried to move, tried to leap aside, but his body felt locked in place, frozen by instinctive fear.

The bus surged past, and the force of the impact swept him away. It all happened in a single instant—start, end, everything swallowed by darkness.

The next morning, headlines across the city focused on the tragedy.

A bus in S City had lost control the previous night; the driver, Gin, had suffered a sudden heart attack, sending the vehicle careening wildly. David Campbell, who had simply been waiting for his ride home, was caught in the chaos and died at the scene.

The public mourned the innocent victim.

Yet at the same time, far from Earth—in another realm entirely—the Jujutsu world welcomed a new life.

---

In the courtyard of the Kamo Clan, one of the Three Great Families, warmth and celebration filled the air.

Inside the delivery room, the midwife's excited voice rang out.

"it's a boy!"

The room immediately grew lively.

One attendant cleaned the newborn, another checked on the mother. The atmosphere was warm, busy, and full of joy.

"Let's call him Kamo Itsuki."

His mother gazed at the tiny child swaddled in her arms, her expression soft with hope. She brushed her fingers over his tiny hand as though sending the gentlest blessings into his new life.

Meanwhile, to the newborn Kamo Itsuki, the outside world was nothing more than a warm, hazy blur.

---

Three years later.

"So it's basically confirmed. This is the world of Jujutsu Kaisen."

The setting of Jujutsu Kaisen resembled modern Japan. Here, tens of thousands died or disappeared every year under mysterious circumstances—victims of Cursed Spirits, manifestations of humanity's accumulated negativity.

Only Sorcerers, those capable of wielding Cursed Energy, could see and exorcise these creatures.

And among the many forces in this world, three clans stood above the rest: the Kamo, Zen'in, and Gojo families, each with their own inherited techniques and formidable legacies.

Kamo Itsuki sat alone in the courtyard, looking up at the full moon. His thoughts were heavy and focused.

The moment he realized he had transmigrated, he had tried to gather information, but the language barrier made everything difficult. Everyone around him spoke Japanese, a language he hadn't known at all. He had been forced to learn it from scratch.

Now, after three years, he understood enough to piece together the truth.

He was living inside the Kamo Clan—one of the Three Great Families.

"For being considered the weakest of the three, it's still not a bad place to start," he murmured.

He belonged to the main line too, though that came with some nuance. His mother was the current clan head's sister. Instead of marrying out, she remained within the clan, and his father married in. As a result, Itsuki carried the Kamo surname by birth.

Both his parents were Sorcerers, though neither possessed exceptional talent. They lived comfortably, running small businesses with the clan's support.

But Itsuki knew the truth: this world was far from peaceful.

Kenjaku, Sukuna, and countless other threats were moving behind the scenes, waiting for the right moment to plunge everything into chaos. And the original manga author… well, their sense of mercy was questionable. The protagonist group felt like a lineup of sacrifices.

"The future looks grim," Itsuki muttered.

From overheard conversations between his parents, he learned something crucial: after centuries, the Gojo Clan had once again produced a Six Eyes user—around his age, named Gojo Satoru.

That alone revealed his place in the timeline.

"If Gojo Satoru is only a child right now, then Kenjaku's plan is still about thirty years away. I need to grow strong before that… or I won't survive."

In his original world, he had read the manga up to the later arcs. Gojo, the strongest Sorcerer of modern times, had become what fans joked as "2.5 Gojo"—and everyone else lined up like the Calabash Brothers, rushing into battle only to fall one by one.

Itsuki knew he couldn't rely on others.

If he wanted to live through the coming storms, he could only rely on himself.

Should he quietly find a place to hide and wait for the protagonist group and the villains to determine a victor, or flee abroad?

The thought was immediately dismissed by Kamo Itsuki. Hiding in some dark corner, leaving his fate to chance, had never been his way. True security came only when one held their destiny firmly in their own hands. Even if the protagonist group lost, the world itself might be plunged into chaos, and escaping abroad offered no guarantee of safety either.

It would be far wiser to take advantage of the protagonist group's halo and fight alongside them against the villains, thereby increasing his chances of survival. Moreover, Itsuki was not without hope. He had been born into the Kamo Clan, one of the Three Great Families, just as powerful in name as the Gojo Clan.

Although the Kamo Clan had not demonstrated particularly strong individuals in the original work, Itsuki reasoned that there must be hidden potential. The Zen'in Clan, another of the Three Great Families, possessed a trump card like Mahoraga, able to contend with the Six Eyes. By that logic, the Kamo Clan's Blood Manipulation had to hold a secret strength that the original story had yet to reveal; otherwise, it would not deserve its status among the elite families.

"Whether I can awaken Blood Manipulation, however, is still unknown," Itsuki murmured to himself.

He never doubted his ability to become a Sorcerer. The question was only when and how the inherited Cursed Techniques of the Three Great Families would awaken. If he could master Blood Manipulation, all the better; if not, perhaps another Cursed Technique, properly honed, could rival the traditional legacies. Awakening a Cursed Technique, like the blooming and falling of flowers, could not be rushed. Itsuki understood that early development would grant him crucial advantages, even if it came with the anxiety of uncertainty.

Cross-legged in the courtyard, he began his meditation, a practice from his previous life. This was no ordinary technique found in books or online, but a family-inherited method of sitting and breathing, said to have originated from an enlightened master. In his former life, Itsuki had used it whenever vexed or restless, finding clarity and inner calm. Now, facing the vast uncertainties of the future, he sought the same peace to organize his thoughts and steady his mind.

As the wind scattered dark clouds, silver moonlight bathed him in the courtyard, casting a solemn, almost mystical glow. Immersed in meditation, Itsuki gradually entered a deep state of samadhi. In this inner world, he found himself walking across a smooth, mirror-like lake. Silence enveloped everything, the surface undisturbed.

He strolled leisurely until two warm, familiar clusters of light appeared before him. The aura they emitted felt comforting, a reminder of something close and dear. Just as he reached out to touch one of them, a far more dazzling light appeared beyond, irresistible in its intensity. Without hesitation, he bypassed the two clusters and moved toward the distant glow.

After a long, silent journey, he finally reached it. The cluster radiated a deep red, like a swirling mass of fresh blood. Yet the color did not terrify him. Instead, it exuded an ancient, profound power that seemed to speak directly to his soul. Drawn irresistibly forward, Itsuki stepped into the light, allowing it to engulf him completely.

In an instant, his world was consumed by red, and his consciousness blurred. When he finally awoke, he found himself gently carried to his bed. His family had assumed he had simply fallen asleep where he sat, unaware that, through the night, Kamo Itsuki had already awakened the Kamo Clan's inherited Cursed Technique: Blood Manipulation.
