Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: The Aquarius Gold Cloth

In the kitchen, his mother, Amy, set the cooked lunch on the dining table, clapped her hands, and called out, "Hey, dear, it's time for the kids to eat."

"Let's go, time to eat."

"Time to eat!"

Li Xiang stood up, and the two little kids snuggled in Leon's arms, echoing him in their baby voices. Leon lovingly picked them up, and the two large dogs followed them all into the dining room.

His mother, Amy, stood at 1.7 meters tall and had maintained a good figure for many years, looking very healthy. She had blonde hair, light blue eyes, and a beautiful, mature face. While she seemed gentle on the surface, this was a side she reserved only for her family. Outside the home, she had a much tougher side.

"Come and eat," Amy said, putting the dishes and chopsticks in their proper places. She walked over to Leon and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then kissed the two little ones in his arms before picking them up and placing them in their special high chairs.

The meal was abundant, even enormous, and didn't match the usual appetite of a family of five. There was macaroni and cheese, cheeseburgers, smoked brisket, barbecue ribs, corn dogs, meatloaf, grilled ribs, pizza, and more.

The main reason for this was Leon. In the beginning, he had relied on Senzu Beans to heal his injuries and keep him full for days at a time. But as his training progressed, the intervals between taking the beans grew longer. He would only eat them if he was seriously injured. In the early stages, his physical ability was too poor, and high-intensity training could easily break his body. Once his body could withstand it, he needed to temper it through brutal training, allowing it to adapt and heal on its own. Pain and scars became a means to hone his will. While Senzu Beans could ensure his body was in a healthy state, he felt that relying on them would make his training meaningless.

Without the satisfying fullness of the Senzu Beans, his appetite became enormous, and the monthly grocery bill was a large expense. Fortunately, his parents supported him unconditionally.

In Leon's family, they didn't have a strict "no talking during meals" rule, but it was essential to chew and swallow your food before speaking. Of course, the two noisy kids were an exception—they were never quiet while eating.

The two Alaskan Malamutes, Pudding and Black Panther, were different; they were completely focused on their food.

After a lively lunch, Li Xiang and Leon washed the dishes while Amy looked after the little ones. Afterward, they all went to the backyard. The kids and the dogs laughed and played on the lawn, while Leon and his parents sat in chairs, drinking afternoon tea and chatting about their day.

When it was time, Li Xiang and Amy went to work, and the hired nanny came to the house to take care of the kids. In the afternoon, Leon would continue his training at the waterfall deep in the mountains. This had become Leon's daily routine for the past year.

Near evening, a tired Leon would return home. After dinner and playing with the kids, his mother would take the little ones to get ready for bed, while his father and Leon chatted on the living room sofa, watching a game.

Suddenly, Li Xiang brought up a topic he felt Leon needed to pay attention to.

"Sip Town?"

"Yes, it's about 47 miles from here. Sheriff James came by today while he was on patrol and mentioned it."

Li Xiang recounted what Sheriff James had told him. A month ago, a layer of fog had filled Sip Town. At first, no one noticed, thinking it was just a normal weather phenomenon. But as time passed, the fog grew thicker and thicker, eventually covering the entire town. The fog was so dense that visibility dropped to less than a meter, and strange things started happening. The number of unnatural deaths was increasing, and the deaths were very peculiar—the bodies looked like dried sausages, as if they had been eroded by time.

These death cases were being suppressed. The local police chief had investigated but hadn't gotten any results and was reporting the situation to other agencies, who might take over in the future. It was unknown how Sheriff James knew about what was happening in Sip, but he didn't say, so Li Xiang didn't know either.

In the past, Li Xiang would have treated this matter as an interesting anecdote, but with a "son of God" like Leon, he couldn't help but wonder if there were devils or demons in this world. After sharing the story, Li Xiang also told Leon not to meddle in other people's business.

Leon listened intently. He wasn't a nosy person. Having lived two lives, especially with the memory of his past, he knew how deep the waters of this universe ran. There were a lot of monsters and demons, and he lacked a sense of security. His main focus was on breaking through to the Sixth Sense to gain the power to protect his family and himself. His strategy for growth was to remain hidden.

After watching the game, Leon returned to his room to wash up and go to sleep, completely forgetting about Sip Town.

Day after day passed, and a month went by.

The sky was overcast, with a hazy drizzle, and a layer of mist had appeared on the mountains. Under the relentless spray of the waterfall, Leon sat cross-legged, his hands resting in his lap, his left hand under his right, with his thumbs touching. The sound of the splashing water was like a continuous thunderous roar.

After an unknown amount of time, an inexplicable energy slowly began to spread. A layer of golden ripples, like a burning flame, appeared on Leon's body. Driven by this invisible power, the passage of time around him seemed to slow, and the movement of the falling waterfall became visibly sluggish.

In the dark sky above, dark clouds gathered, and 56 faint stars became visible, forming the constellation of a graceful girl holding a water bottle, a truly miraculous sight. This strange event was even observed by many residents of the town far away from the mountains. People walking on the street with umbrellas stopped and looked at the distant sky, feeling a change they couldn't describe.

"Wow, look! What is that?"

"It's daytime, why are there stars flashing in the dark clouds? Am I seeing things?"

"I think I see a graceful girl, she's so beautiful."

"Is that...Aquarius?"

Residents looked on in disbelief. This kind of phenomenon that defied natural astronomy was incredible. Some residents who understood astronomy seemed to recognize the constellation. The sight caused a sensation in the town and also alarmed Li Xiang and his wife, who were at home.
