I woke up, still half asleep as I was sitting upright in my chair. The lights in my orbiter were turned off and all I could see outside through the glass was pitch black nothingness.
My eyes had a hard time focusing on anything around me, everything seemed blurry and distorted, even more than usual. But it wasn't just the eyes that caused this distortion.
The connection to my Warframe seemed more intuitive then Normal. It seemed even more intuitive than being in my own Body at the Moment which confused me and kept me from thinking straight.
After blinking a few times I was able to look out the window of my Operator Chair. A black void of nothingness staring back at me,
but there was something else.
Outside, only slightly lit by the emergency lights I could slowly see something as my eyes adapted to the darkness.
Floating giant masses of debris that came from my ship and all kinds of tech parts that were once connected to it had now been scattered around.
I could even see outside into what looked like deep space, a big hole that punched through the outer hull straight up till the transference room leading my eyes, only illuminated by the emergency lights along its path.
"Operator, your Awake, that's the best news I've got in a while" Ordis voice suddenly spoke in my head.
His voice was unusually quiet and didn't sound as hyperactive as it normally did.
I couldn't answer him directly because of my incredible headache, but after some time of concentration I formed a Word.
"Status?" I asked into the emptiness of my tiny coffin.
I didn't get an immediate response, instead he seemed to waite a bit until he answered.
It was like he had to think about what he would say, something unusual for Ordis.
I began to feel uncomfortable, something really bad must have happened if even Ordis wasn't in a good condition.
After some time, he finally started speaking again.
"The orbiter has suffered severe damage, many systems are not responding or are malfunctioning. I can't pinpoint where we are at the moment, there aren't even any stars to calculate our position the old fashioned way around, which should be impossible on its own." He said and sounded incredibly confused and disappointed in himself.
Ordis always wanted to be the most helpful Cephalon you could ever have aboard your ship, so something like this must have really hurt his Ego.
I tried to sit up and look around to inspect my surroundings upclose, but as soon as I made a move to lift myself up from my seat I felt a stinging pain running down my neck as I tried to do so and set down again.
The pain didn't keep me from standing up though, it was the shell of my operator chair, which didn't budge, not even a tiny bit to let me out into the open.
I started to hyperventilate and thanks to the sudden adrenaline spike, I could finally form a coherent sentence.
"Ordis, why does my Somatic link-shell not open up?" I asked Angrily into the open and with a good amount of panic.
Ordis seemed to take his time again to find the right words.
A shiver ran down my Body, as I thought about what could have possibly happened.
"There is no easy way to say this Operator... I had to seal your shell shut while we came out of transit, otherwise you would have been blown away with the rest of the USESLESS JUNK." Ordis explained himself, but his voice was still too quiet for my taste.
"Right now, there would be no use in going out anyway Operator, as the oxygen needed for your FEEBLE BODY to properly function has escaped into the emptiness of space"
he continued as his volume grew back up to normal.
I looked around and noticed that indeed, pretty much the whole interior of the room was missing.
"And the damage? What else is not functional?" I asked concerned.
"All power from the reactor has been down since arrival, the battery's will last for months, but only for life support purposes and my lowly existence" Ordis answered with a hint of humor.
This gave me some relief, at least I had time to figure something out.
I then remembered that a Warframe and a Pack of Kubrows were in the Liset, my landing Craft, as all of this began and started thinking.
„Ordis, can you pinpoint the Liset, I remember it being disconected from the Orbiter as all of this started, maybe it is still functioning and able to rescue us" I asked hopefully.
"Negative Operator, the connection between us has been completely severed after everything went dark. But before that, there was a sudden spike of Energy emitted around the landing crafts last confirmed position" he said after a few seconds.
He seemed like he hesitated to continue but eventually did.
„I think it's better if you see for yourself what happened, before we lost contact with the Landing Craft."
Before I could say anything about that suggestion, a holographic screen appeared directly in front of me and started playing footage, recorded by one of the Orbiters cameras.
The footage showed how the Ship was traveling through the Solar Rail. Rhino and a bunch of Kubrows got transported into the Liset, sleeping in their Hybernation-pods, after which she started her undocking process as we reached our destination.
We saw the Corpus Fleet and the Sinking Sentient ship they had scavenged, as suddenly a big bright tear in space appeared right in the middle of it all, that got bigger and brighter by the second. I saw how it suddenly split up into lots of smaller splintered fragments which flew past our Orbiter at an incredible speed.
Then some of these fragments hit us, which send the camera flying into another direction and then... blackness.
Now I had a theory about what happened here. We were sucked into a Void Tear, which spitt us out somewhere else.
I had seen something similar happening to the Zariman but this time at a much smaler scale and Spontaneous, not provoked like the last time, at least I hoped.
Ordis probably noticed it as well and confirmed my theory.
"I'm afraid that we are stranded in some unknown part of space, I do not know where we are nor am I able to receive any signal, anywhere." He explained further.
After internalizing all of that and the adrenaline slowly leaving my system, I began to again feel really tired.
My head was hurting even more then before and everything just felt numb.
"Operator you seem exhausted, maybe you should go back to sleep for now, I'll wake you once something happens." Ordis suggested after noticing my change in behavior.
And he was right, there was nothing I could do right now to help myself or anyone else and the Imense Internal suction force that pulled me towards my Warframe won, as I fell into it, to powerless to do anything about it.
