Rocket POV:
There are moments in life that make you reconsider your actions and choices.
For example, if you would meet someone who claims to be your father who died years ago and tell you that he wants to take you home to live with him. That's what happened to our dear Quill just one hour ago and he decided to leave me with groot and nebula alone on this fucking planet to repair the ship.
We did manage to fix most of the biggest damage done by that stupid swarm of golden bastards but it would take some more days until we could fly again. And even then, we wouldn't know where to go, as peter still didn't return.
Groot was getting impatient and angry as hell because of that so I had to pull out a holo-board game which we played against each other. Groot won every time but still managed to get distracted while he was winning, even though I let him.
Nebula was standing next to the fire, heating her cuffed hands up, probably to melt away the metal around them, not going to work. She seemed annoyed by our little playtime here as we had already finished all the work that needed to be done.
"I think we're pretty much done with fixing up the ship guys." I said loud enough so Nebula could hear it too. "That's great, can we finally get off this rock now?" she asked annoyedly.
Groot got up from his seat and looked at the two of us with puppy eyes. „I am Groot? I am groot! I am groot!" he said angrily and crossed his arms, also looking quite disappointed in us.
"Look, I know you want to see your friends again, but they will come back, I'm sure of it." I tried to calm him down.
It worked for a short amount of time.
Suddenly I heard a crack in the bushes and as I looked I saw a dog like creature, in prone position ready to pounce on little groot next to me and I couldn't react fast enough to shoot it before it jumped.
Then something unexpected happened. Another dog thing came from behind the bush, attacking the first one midair, sending both of them flying in different directions.
A few seconds later, more than 10 of those things appeared from behind the bush, all pouncing on the one downed by the first and tearing him to parts.
"What the f*ck are these ugly things?!" I yelled and loaded my gun second gun while aiming with the other.
The rest of them then turned their heads towards us and fletched their teeth, before all looking into one direction in unison and sprinting towards it like they were possessed.
As they ran past us I noticed a small light shining through the trees which must have been what they were running towards.
Groot was about to jump after them, but I stopped him, not wanting to lose another wooden friend so soon.
„What the Fuck where these thinks and why did they stop attacking us so suddenly."
I asked as I tried to calm down the Little warmonger in my arms.
"I don't know, but they seemed to be Bio engendered scouts" Nebula answered still fumbling with her chains.
"So someone already spotted us, you have to let me go so I can help you fight whoever now knows of our location" she pleaded to me.
I took a moment to think about the consequences if I would really let her free. And eventually I decided that it would be better for all of us to have her securely bound to the ship.
"I doubt that would be a good Idea" I said pulling on her leash and binding her to the ship's interior.
Tenno POV:
I woke up in the Body of my Warframe, pretty confused but my mind was finally clear at last. I gave the mental command and the doors of the Pod opened, to an also wrecked landing ship.
"Shit, also completely unable to lift of the ground" I thought as I analyzed the damage.
"Ordis, are you seeing this?" I asked as I finally realized something my brain tuned out till a second ago.
"Yes Operator, it seemes like your ship crash landed on a Planet"
How was that possible. We were in deep space with no stars in our vicinity, or even a glimmer of them in our scanner.
"How do I have a Connection to the frame"
I asked Ordis while walking around the area after I stepped through the broken glass of the front view.
It was quiet around here. Just some animals running around in the bushes every now and then. Nothing to worry about for now.
I turned around to look at the damage. It wasn't as bad as the Orbiter. But still enough to be stranded on this planet without being able to fly away.
"You might not like this answer Operator...but we're not in deep space anymore. This is a planet, no Void mirage or anything else." he answered, his voice sounding unsure.
A moment of silence followed.
This is a first for me. Never had I experienced something like this before.
I looked up into the sky, searching for stars to figure out where I am right now, but there were none to be seen except the one nearest to us as it seemed to be day on this side of the planet right now.
The air here was breathable for humans, at least that was what my sensors showed me, so no problems with that as the warframes could function on way less oxygen then other life forms.
Next I checked for radiation but my sensors and also the blooming wildlife around me showed, that no threat was to be expected around that area.
"Where the hell did you drop us Ordis? How is it even possible to crash into a planet with the Landing craft while being in deep space with the Orbiter?" I asked annoyed, more because of the headache that grew stronger by the minute.
"I do not know Operator. Something happened that caused an unforeseen change to our current location and the one of the Liset. Why you still can operate the Frame I also can't begin to understand as all system except life support and well me, are offline. You should not be able to connect to your Warframe to begin with. Not even talking about a connection across stellar distances."
His voice sounded really confused by his own words.
It was weird indeed but we both didn't have a good explanation for all of this yet, nor would we get one anytime soon.
There was nothing I could do either so I decided to continue exploring the surrounding area to see if there were any clues leading to my actual location.
After walking through some bushes and trees for a few minutes, I found what appeared to be the footprints of my pack. They seemed to be hunting one of their own.
"Strange" I thought as I tracked the tracks, finally giving up and deciding to just call for them through the mental link.
They responded quickly and ran towards me at high speed from every direction, jumping on top of me to greet me properly.
Their tails wagging left and right wildly while making noises like a small engine. It made me happy to see them again after such a long time of separation.
I sat down next to a tree and started petting the dogs one by one, each trying to get more pets than the others. But they were calm most of the time so it wouldn't be a problem.
We stayed like that for quite a while before I got back up and told them to show me the way to the one they hunted.
As I knew them, they had a good reason to hunt one of their own. A reason I should probably be informed about.
I then proceeded to walk in the same direction the Kubrows had come from until I reached a clearing with a big ship standing in the middle of it, from which a big strip of smashed trees showed the way they gracefully landed here.
"Well, standing was maybe a little to nice" I thought mentally grinning.
The Warframe I wore right now wasn't the best for anything stealthy, more the walking Tank type, which was also where it's name came from, in remembrance of the long extinct Tank like Animal, the Rhino.
That didn't mean I wasn't stealthy, the training I had to endure had everything in it, stealth was not something we skipped. For some missions it was one of the most important attributes a Tenno could wield after all, just meant I didn't have any stealth related Abilities on this one, I could use.
But right now, I just needed to check out if someone lived inside the ship or if it was abandoned and safe to exploit for spare parts.
As I got closer to the Ship, I noticed that it wasn't exactly the same tech as my own. There were no signs of void energy anywhere on its surface, only the material itself seemingly functioning on ancient technology. That is strange considering I always felt the presence of the void in even the smallest device that used it.
I got closer to the entrance and waited for a moment to see if anyone would come out of it but there was still nothing, no sounds nor movements.
So I decided to go further in and take a look inside.
I checked every nook and cranny but the only things I found where some left over traps I simply disarmed with my Parazon. After being done with the cleanup and finding nothing of value, I walked out and made my Pack start the Hunt while myself starting to dissect the fallen Kubrow.
Rocket POV:
I watched through the Camerafeed as a beeing just went through our ship and disarmed all my precious traps I placed for him.
I couldn't make out what he looked like though because he wore some sort of anti spy tech, that just made the light flimsy around him and my traps seemingly not able to treck him.
This might be a problem for us because it meant that he was probably more dangerous then he seemed to be at first.
„Guys, we better not go back, we might have a trespasser on board, don't know why though as he didn't take anything valuable from us" I warned Nebula and Groot.
Groot just stared at me and started fiddling with his fingers nervously while he balanced on the tree branches we sat on to hide from our search party.
"He has Bioengineered Scouts, how long do you think we will be safe up here" Nebula asked while holding on dear for her life with both arms still restrained, now at least free of the leash he had bound her with before.
"Well I don't know, but I am pretty sure we can kick his ass easily." I answered her confidently.
I already thought about ways to kill him without actually seeing him. But none of them really worked against an enemy invisible to my sensors.
There was nothing we could do besides staying in this tree, which was uncomfortable, until they moved out, hopefully by nightfall.
Tenno POV:
"They seem to be in the treetops Operator" Ordis said in my Interface, analyzing the data he got from the Kubrows Neural-Chips.
"Doesn't matter Ordis, they are not of Importance anymore, I got the needed intelligence on my own"
I said as I went through the now not so useless seeming catalog of the ships Nav System.
"I got the road back to the Sol System, back there we will find a way to rescue us from wherever we are"
I said while walking back to the dead Kubrow or what was left of him now that I was finished with my Biobsie.
"The Pack reacted rightfully on Instinct" I told Ordis as I poured the flammable substance I found in the wreckage over the carcass and set it aflame with a device I also found there which's sole purpose seemed to be to make a small flame for exactly that purpose.
"To unleash the Infestation upon an Uninfested Starsystem seems to be a very bad Idea" I said as I watched the Infested Carcass burn away, hopefully all the Biomatter Infested with the Virus.
And if not, then at least it would be no longer a threat to me or my Pack.
After cleaning up after myself I began to walk back into the direction I came from earlier, following the tracks of my pack back to the ship, where they were already waiting for me.
I took out an extraction tool from the toolbox and started deconstructing all the parts of the Liset that were scattered around my "landing" spot.
Rocket POV:
As the Night came, so came the lights flashing through the forest. It seemed the search party finally decided to come personally, but this time my traps went of.
The Attackers didn't stand a chance as they walked through the thick bushes. One by one falling down in agony as their suits were punctured by darts and some other means.
Some managed to survive long enough to scream for help though, alerting the rest of the group of their fate.
"It looks like they're finally coming out to play" I said smiling.
I loaded both guns and prepared for any sudden movements.
Nebula tried to get ready for battle, but failed due to her restraints.
"I can't even hold a gun properly in this state!" She said banging her hands against the tree.
"Good, Like that you can't shoot me in the back of my head" Rocked said while preparing farther for battle.
"You stay here little one and guard the ugly purple lady over there Ok?" I said to Groot, giving him something to do so that he hopefully wouldn't follow me.
Groot looked at me with big puppy eyes and hugged me. I petted him on the head and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
He nodded understandingly and got into position to watch everything from above.
I jumped away from the tree we hid onto another farther away from groot and waited for the Attackers to arrive. They came slowly through the dark forest with flashlights pointed in every Direction.
One of them noticed me in the treetops and ran towards me to attack, but before he could even lift his hand up, a dart hit him in the face and killed him instantly.
The rest of them saw what happened and started shooting at me with their weapons, making me jump from tree to tree as fast as possible to avoid being shot down.
Most of my traps went of and I activated some remotely, till I found myself on the ground and a big guy came from behind, while a scrawny guy appeared from within the bushes infornt of me.
"Well little fuckface, not so clever without your fancy toys are you" the big guy said while pointing his big gun at my head.
I just jumped at the scrawny guys face, the big guy shot him into the stomach, I went over to him, landed on his shoulders and punched his head till he fell down like a tree and I landed on my feet, standing again in the clearing, but this time with both of them face first on the floor.
Suddenly I heard a whistle and a golden streak of light flew in my direction. I didn't have enough Time to react and as soon as I opened my eyes after I blinked there he was, the golden arrow floating right above my nose.
"Crap"
I Said as Yondo came out of the bushes.
"Hey there rat" he said with a smirky smile on his face.
"How is it going you blue Idiot" I said as he and his fellow folks started to surround me and I started lifting my hands.
"Not so bad" he answered as he picked his teeth with a stick.
"We got ourself a pretty good little gig here, this golden Girl with quite a high opinion of herself has offered us a large sum to deliver you and your pals over to her, cause she wants to kill yall." He said while he started walking circles around me, his crew starting to snicker.
"I'll tell you it was pretty easy to find you, I putt a little tracker on your ship back there on the war over at Xander" he said with a cocky smile.
"Give me your word you won't harm groot and I will give you the batteries" I started to plead.
"Lucky for you my word don't mean squat, otherwise I would actually hand you Over"
He said while a round of confusion went through his crew.
I started thinking of some way out of this as they're started arguing more and more strongly till they were near the point of fighting.
"WOW WOW, there must be some peaceful resolution to this fellas, or even a violent one where I am standing over there" I said while slowly walking to the edge of my Encirclement as they all pointed their guns on each other instead of me which I saw as my opportunity of escaping this Hell.
Suddenly a shot was fired, and Yondo fell to the floor, behind him standing Nebula, freed from her restraints.
"Ouch" I said out loud as she focused on me next and shot me directly into the chest, making my body jerk around in agony till my brain finally shut down.
Observer POV:
"Well hello boys"
Said Nebula after which she bit into a fruit spitting it out directly afterwards.
"It's not Ripe" she said while getting confused looks from the Ravangers around her.
"Well let's go, get your little Pets, I get the batteries and hop hop, collecting the rest of them" she said while pointing and then throwing the fruit at Rocket.
"Good plan to begin with, but what Pets do you mean" one of the Ravangers said.
Nebula looked confused before everyone heard a bunch of screams and total Chaos followed.
The Kubrows started Attacking the Ravangers that turned their backs against them and because they stood so close to each other, as they began shooting at them, they mostly shot at their own men.
But as the whole Team of Ravangers got successfully distracted, a gray shadow slammed into the middle of the crew, creating a shockwave.
The dust that was created by it obscured everything in a 20 meters radius, including the now downed bodies of the Ravangers.
As the Dust settled, the group of Kubrows could be seen again, tearing apart the Ravangers on the outside of the encirclement.
Now able to aim again they first scared away the beasts and then turned around to see the Grey thing, now clearly someone in a battle armor, punching the air out of their crew inside the circle. The reason why they reacted so late was because the Attacker nearly made no sound and as soon as they saw him, nearly half of all the Ravangers left were decimated ether by the Kubrows or the Grey Fighter.
The only thing that confused them, was that after they shot him a few times, he instantly fell and stoped moving, even though they didn't seem to have damaged him.
