AURORA'S VISION
"Sigh, how am I gonna escape the ladies with this perfect face, what a dilemma"
A young man of about fifteen was looking in a mirror while admiring his looks, he had long shoulder length silver hair, with bright golden tips at their ends framing an otherworldly handsome face, eyes shining gold like miniature suns and a proud smirk on his mouth, while though not very obvious, an older version of Aurora, was holding back her giggles, amused by her son's antics.
Aurora was visibly stunned for a second, seeing this scene, before she quickly adjusted and calmed down as though this wasn't something new; she just took in the scene with a beautiful smile on her face.
It didn't take long before she noticed the vision fading. She was about to close her eyes when she saw something that stunned her, the boy and her older counterpart's eyes shone golden before they turned towards her, smiled, and waved. She wasn't shocked about her counterpart; it was the boy who really surprised her.
Before she could process what had just happened, she was back in her room with baby Orion in her lap. She quickly turned towards her son, and she was met with those same intelligent golden eyes shining and staring back at her. She was at a loss for words.
"Impossible, a male can't awaken that power, it has never happened before. " She was very shocked at this development, she was sure that boy was an older Orion, and something told her, her baby just had the same vision she did.
Her eyes widened when she recalled something, she quickly turned back to him and saw a mischievous and intelligent smile on his face.
If it were any other person, they would have concluded their child had been possessed, but she simply smiled, started giggling before it turned into a full-blown, deranged laughter. Orion could tell what was going on in her head, although he had a few question marks.
Like a contagious disease, the laughter spread from mother to son. Before long, a strange scene of a mother and her baby son laughing was in play.
"Hahahahaha…, you haven't even undergone your awakening, Oh Erevan, we've given birth to a monster," she said while looking at her son with all the pride she could muster.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday's scenario kept playing in Orion's mind; he hadn't been able to get that vision out of his mind.
'That was definitely the future, I literally saw the future, that's the only explanation for what I saw'
'That boy was very similar to the guy in my dreams back on earth, the battlefield, and all... What the hell, so I've been dreaming about my future self all this time.'
'That settles it, I definitely have time-related powers, but like mom said, I haven't had my awakening yet'
'Nothing's changed with the vacuum, so it shouldn't have anything to do with the visions.'
'And the most surprising part, my mom has time powers. For some reason, our powers activated, and our visions were in sync; we both saw the same future. I'm sure the situation already has her on her feet, though judging by her laughter, it shouldn't be the worst thing.'
'Most likely, the power of time is something rare in the family, which would explain why we still bear the name Chronos and our members wear it with pride. So I must be one of those rare few.'
He couldn't hold the smile that bloomed on his face, who wouldn't want to be special in a family of thousands?
He was currently in his mother's arms while thinking about all these. They were walking towards the mansion gate, and the patriarch would be arriving soon.
He couldn't wait to lay his eyes on the man who made someone as beautiful as his mother fall in love; he was part nervous, part excited. Nervous because he had no idea what his father would be like, and excited because why not.
Aurora talked about him like he was some prince charming, while Lyrielle acted like he was the most loving father in the world.
Orion knew he couldn't judge by his mother's or sister's words; people display changes depending on who they are dealing with. And as the son of the patriarch and heir, he could tell he was going to go through the wringer with this great, loving prince charming, but if the vision was anything to go by, he was definitely going to survive and even turn out handsome.
Another cheeky smile appeared on his face.
Aurora saw her son's smile and thought he was excited to meet his father.
"Don't worry, sweetheart, you are going to love your father," She said with the widest smile on her face.
Before long, they arrived at the gate, where an old, refined gentleman could be seen waiting patiently.
He wore a crisp and snug butler uniform with white gloves on his hands, a perfectly trimmed mustache, no beard, neatly styled white hair framing his mature face, and a monocle on his right eye. A perfect butler.
Orion couldn't help but be amazed anytime he came across this butler; they'd only met a few times, but he was perfect every single time, not a single thing out of place.
"My lady, Young master," He greeted with a small bow of his head.
"Shaw," Aurora answered back with a small smile on her face.
"I hope everything is in place," She said while facing him
"Of course, my lady, everything is as you ordered," Shaw replied with a small imperceptible smile on his face.
Shaw couldn't deny the warmth he felt in his chest when he thought of how happy the patriarch would feel when he arrived.
Lyrielle and Isolde arrived a short while later, Isolde with her usual cheerfulness and Lyrielle with a stoic face.
'She's really working on this maturity thing, I think she's got it wrong, though. But it's fun seeing her try to maintain that stoic face, which breaks every few minutes, courtesy of Isolde.' Orion thought.
"He's here, he's here!!!" Lyrielle squealed at the top of her voice.
'So much for maturity,' Orion thought.
They all turned to see a carriage coming from a distance, surrounded by six silver-haired men on large horses; the carriage itself was being drawn by two large white steeds. A truly imposing sight.
The carriage soon stopped in front of them.
Orion could tell that whoever designed this carriage did so to impress. Regal would be unbefitting of such a masterpiece, Silver with bright golden accents, the color of their house. A large and imposing sigil of the Chronos house was on the doors of the carriage.
It took all of Lyrielle's restraint not to run and open the doors like she wanted.
The doors of the carriage slowly opened.
