"Libra..Libra.." Orion babbled to his mother, trying to convey his own distress.
Aurora giggled at her son trying to explain his dilemma, his intelligence truly was amazing, she had never heard of any one year old child able to understand and process things as well as her son, it was intriguing and like any mother she was proud of her son, she could tell he would be very special and she couldn't wait to see it all.
"Oh, Erevan is going to have a handful with you, don't worry, Orion, nothing is wrong with your library," she told him while smiling and rubbing his back.
She turned towards Isolde, "Tell Julius he can return the library to its original position."
Orion was shocked. They just changed the location of the library. He was there a day before, and the library was still at that spot; it definitely had to be magic.
He was once again reminded about the special world he found himself in.
Isolde smiled and nodded.
Aurora turned to her children again with a smile.
"Guess what!!, Your dad is going to be back in a few weeks !!" She exclaimed happily.
A wide smile appeared on Lyrielle's face when she heard the news; her father had left a few months before Orion was born, and now he was coming back.
Her stoic demeanor immediately shattered, and she started jumping excitedly. "Finally!!"
Aurora smiled at her daughter's excitement, she could tell Lyrielle had started to miss her father, she herself did after all, she looked towards her son and saw the curious look on his face probably wondering why his sister was so happy, she couldn't wait to show Erevan this little bundle of curiosity they had brought to this world.
She could already picture their reunion and Erevan's face when he saw his male heir.
Apart from his longing for a male child, the grand patriarch had already started pestering them about an heir.
She quickly shook those unnecessary thoughts from her head and turned towards her son with a mischievous smile.
"Alright, young man, it's feeding time. You have to grow big and strong after all."
Orion visibly shuddered, but he'd learned he couldn't resist the inevitable; he just turned towards her and accepted his fate. At his age on earth, children should have long started weaning, but this world was already strange enough; what was one more?
Aurora just giggled at his expression, her heart overflowing with warmth. She didn't know what the future held, but she would enjoy this joyful period.
Orion's days in the library hadn't been for naught; he'd done his best to learn about the world he was brought into, starting from his noble family.
This world as he knew it was deeply intriguing and full of surprises, since his rebirth he'd encountered numerous illogical things, hell even the circumstances of his rebirth was deeply unnatural, he had set three goals for himself, one of which required him to take in as much knowledge as he could even in his toddler stage, with the summary so far being
-The world [Velastra]
Velastra was similar to Earth; it was no different from a planet, but the concept of planets was non-existent over here, and therefore it was simply referred to as a world.
The average size of the Earth's surface was a little over 500 million km². He'd tried to compare that of this world to Earth, and the results were eye-opening.
It had been difficult getting a proper size, as the unit of measurement here greatly differed from that of Earth, but he'd eventually done it, at least according to the books, Velastra was approximately 2.9 billion distals with a distal being a little over a km at-least according to his little toddler calculations, therefore Velastra was about 6 times larger than earth.
He'd seen some rudimentary maps of the world, not all of it was covered, it was interesting to know that about 40% of the world remained uncovered, his curiosity burned; this body truly was a cage.
In such a large world, humans and animals definitely couldn't be the only inhabitants.
Velastra was home to numerous races, some with populations that could overflow the whole earth. So far, he'd seen records of Elves, dwarves, dragons, and other notable mystical species.
One race that drew his curiosity were Demons, in every book he'd read so far demons had been placed in in the worst light one can imagine for a race, the absolute enemies and bane of every known race, numerous wars have been fought against them, coalitions had been formed against them, they literally had bounties placed in every city, yet they exist till this day, a truly terrifying and evil race.
Of course, he personally had no such prejudice against them, at least until he came across one, and even one couldn't judge a whole race, for now he simply placed them at the back of his mind.
-Humans
In his past life, although he wasn't an avid novel enthusiast, he'd read enough to know that humans were typically referred to as average, with only a few possessing the ability to contend with other races, the true jack of all trades, master of none, in any fantasy world.
Yet humans in Velastra were truly one of a kind, they were one of the most sacred races, it was like their jack of all trades ability was truly ramped up in this world, their magical affinities were truly up there in the scale along with the elves and dragons, they produced most of the greatest astute minds in the world, not to talk of their opportunistic, greedy and cunning tendencies, naturally they were born to claw their ways to the top.
They occupied about five percent of the whole Velastra, their rate of procreation being less than that of their counterparts on Earth.
The human domain was truly an impregnable fortress. It had never borne the consequence of war, a true testament to their intelligence and cunning; no race had managed to breach it, a golden trophy for the demons.
The human domain was well structured with five great dukedoms in control and several ranks of nobility under, no king or royal family in charge and yet they have enjoyed relative peace for centuries contrary to what one would expect of the greedy humans, Orion could tell there was definitely something strange at play, but he had no concerns for such things, at-least not yet.
He finally found out that he was a member of one of the five great noble families in charge of a large dukedom, the CHRONOS family.
The chronos family was an ancient family dating back centuries, with thousands of outstanding members. Though their name commonly represents time, they were actually a family wielding the elements of space and time.
Their affinity for space was the greatest on Velastra with very few able to contend with them, they were the only family said to wield time, and though no one has ever seen a chronos member wield it, the family carried their name with pride, another major conspiracy left for future Orion to tackle, and he still hadn't forgotten the name of the system that brought him to this world "THE EMISARRY OF TIME AND SPACE", it was definitely not a coincidence.
All in all, he was pretty impressed by the human domain and his family. He couldn't wait to grow and explore, though he still hadn't set his future goals, he still had to complete the present ones.
And finally, the most intriguing and interesting one
-Magic
Since he'd gotten to this world he has had many strange encounters with the use of magic, from the way the maids clean the rooms, or the way his mom heals Lyrielle's injuries, hell he suspects his mother's milk has some magic in it, probably some growth and sweetening magic, he was sure no baby would be able resist that milky goodness, anyway we digress, the greatest shock he's had was the library incident a few weeks ago, a truly magical phenomenon, it definitely had something to do with their spacial magic, he was convinced.
He knew a human's magical journey began at the age of five, he had no idea about other races though, he also knew there definitely had to be a magical progression list but so far he had not encountered any such books, he was really starting to suspect this wasn't the main Chronos library, it definitely couldn't be.
The members of the family were thousands, and yet he had only seen his mom, sister, maids, and guards; no family relative or anyone; they all had to be somewhere, but like always, he'd cross that bridge when he got there.
Unfortunately, his most sought-after information still remained elusive. He wasn't worried, though, if the vacuum in his body was anything to go by, his magical journey would begin soon, and it would start with a boom.
And that's the summary of his 6-7 months of research, truly pitiful, but he took it as an achievement, not many one-year-olds could claim to have accomplished a quarter of what he accomplished, a small milestone.
All these thoughts passed through Orion's mind while he was lying on his mother's lap as she read a bedtime story to him.
Aurora had long noticed his silence, yet he was awake, though he didn't seem to be listening to her story; he was making a brooding face. Aurora was perplexed as to what he could be thinking about at this age, yet she had gotten used to her son's odd tendencies and growth.
She simply sighed and kept reading; she was truly enjoying the bedtime story even though her son seemed to be in another world.
All of a sudden, the eyes of both mother and son flashed golden.
