"I hope this time it's better"
My second year in high school had just ended, i am insanely full of joy and energy, people may know me as a really energetic person, and this summer may be a good one for me knowing full well that i will have one of the best days of my life just because I have plenty of time to be with my parents and I get to do the things I have been trying to do but was unable to because of school.
My family and I have been planning a lot of fun things to do this summer, we were planning to go to a place, a place where we could let ourselves get wild and have fun and be happy for our vacation since my mom and dad also don't have any work to do.
We have invested so much of our time just to make sure this plan continues, we planned to go to a really fancy water pool that could well just be as big as our whole mansion, I'm so excited for it but it seemed like something is off with those things, its just like its too good to be true, but still I just kept my hopes up for it.
I have been waiting for that day to come but it seems like those things really are too good to be true, since this news really struck me out of nowhere, no warnings, no signs it just straight up went to me like it's just a normal problem that everyone has.
A news that gave me chills and ruined my plans this summer, it's like they just disregard our plans and just let it just be plans like those failed promises.
A year has gone by.
I have now changed a lot and I've gone thru a lot in just a whole year well I still have some of myself in me but I mostly show my not interested self to others to just avoid attracting others to me.
But right now I'm somewhat happy with what I'm doing, I live alone now I may still have contact with some of my friends but I don't see them as often as I'm used to anymore just because I switched countries, but even if i switched countries I still could call or chat then whenever I want to.
I may have switched countries but because of my years of researching places and learning Japanese culture and traditions, and because of it I was able to
Distinguish on what I should or shouldn't do here in this country. I also learned how to talk and read in japanese.
When I got here in japan, I went and tried to find a job immediately, to keep my financial status afloat, It may be hard but I would need to handle it until I get my residency, to get a new and better job than working in a restaurant.
I have been called into the boss's office, I wonder what the boss will do to me I hope i don't get fired or anything related to that, but well I surely hope for a raise for how much I'm trying my best to serve the customers that keep coming into the store.
[After a few minutes I have arrived at my boss's office].
"Uhh.. boss what did you say again I couldn't completely understand what you have just said".
I asked my boss what he had just said, i couldn't fully understand why he would want me to take on another job instead of this.
"Have you not been listening?? I told you that I want to change your job from a servant to a tutor your job as a servant here doesn't fit your personality and the way you act, after secretly analyzing you for a day I have concluded that you are too scared to talk to others and your always shaking when your serving which could end up in you dropping their order"
"..."
After what he just said, i just stood there in shock at what he just said, but even if I just talked to him about it, that would change absolutely nothing, what he had just told me is the truth a truth i have known but still I didn't do anything to overcome the fear of talking to strangers. I'm always thinking that they would do something or might even spread false rumors to everyone about me.
After some time, he finally broke the silence between us by saying.
"If you truly want this job. You will need to improve talking to strangers since we need to communicate with a lot of people on this job so you will need experience with talking to people you may not know. That's why I will give you another job that could improve your understanding of other people."
"May I ask what are the conditions on the task you're giving me?"
"You will need to help her with her studies so she doesn't fail on her grade another time"
Huh- did he just mention "her?" Then it must be a girl, I hope i get into good terms with her. I'm not entirely good with talking to girls I usually avoid them as i can get easily attached with them, i hope it won't turn out like that.
"If you need to say something to me just say it don't be too dependent on yourself you always need someone besides you."
Seems like the boss is trying to give me some support to start talking to her.
"Oh yeah before we conclude this I would like to tell you how much your salary is going to be."
Oh already mentioning the salary?? Well that's quite a shocker I just thought he would keep the salary the same but i guess this job is too easy to be 1,000 yen every hour
"I figured that your salary should be 2,000 yen per hour I know that's a little lower than the usual salary but it's because of your lack of experience, but don't worry as you gain experience your salary gets even better too."
2,000 yen for tutoring?? I didn't think I would make that much just by tutoring someone well there may be complications since I'm not a resident here, I guess I didn't do as much research as I believe I did. Wait he did say (it's lower than the average) does he mean tutors can earn more than i initially thought? Well I guess I'll just have to do better to reach the average salary
"So are you interested in it?"
I need to accept it since this is the only job that happily took me, not being a resident here is challenging, I would need to pass requirements just to be a resident here, and without a resident ID I couldn't get any good jobs here. So i guess I have no choice but to take it.
"Ahh, yes I have no other choice so i would like to take on the job"
"Very well I will inform you in a few days on the things you may need to learn about here, You may take your leave now."
