Chapter 160 - On the Brink of Despair

Victor stretched comfortably.

Now that he had found living things in this world, he couldn't just leave!

The adventure had just begun. He had to at least do some basic exploration, or his year of restructuring the magic circles would have been a waste.

So, he took a piece of chocolate from his pocket space and started eating it, ready to rest for a bit before continuing on his way.

However, just as Victor was imagining what he might encounter next, he suddenly felt a slight tremor coming from under his feet. He looked down and saw the small stones on the ground bouncing up and down in a regular rhythm.

Victor's eyes narrowed, and he stood up. He turned his head and activated his Eagle Eye, looking into the depths of the gray-brown continent.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

He saw a herd of huge, black, cloud-like chunks of meat, tens of meters high, walking towards him with heavy footsteps. These chunks of meat had five legs that looked like a goat's hooves. Their bodies were covered in tentacles of various lengths that twisted and waved. Between the tentacles were several circular mouths filled with jagged teeth. Drops of black pus seeped out from between the teeth and slowly dripped onto the ground, emitting plumes of black smoke.

"Is that... the Black Goat?!" Victor was so shocked to see this kind of monster that he froze on the spot.

The Black Goat, also known as Shub-Niggurath, is an Outer God in the Cthulhu Mythos, known as the "Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young." It is one of the beings that symbolize the 'earth' and is an Outer God with an incredibly strong reproductive ability.

At the same time, while Victor was still in shock about why there was a Cthulhu Outer God in this world, he suddenly heard a long, low moan from behind him. He quickly turned his head and saw a group of giant, snake-like monsters emerging from the depths of the lava sea. They breathed fire from their mouths, and smoke billowed from their noses. They had sharp teeth and their bodies seemed to be covered in black scales. Countless Fiendfyre Demons flew above their heads.

"A Leviathan?!" Victor was even more shocked. The giant snake-like monsters that could swim in lava looked exactly like the sea monster Leviathan from the Bible.

Now, monsters of the sea, land, and sky had gathered, and their target was undoubtedly Victor, who had just released a large amount of pure magic during his battle.

Victor's stunned face suddenly showed a hint of madness, and he burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha! This is excellent! Absolutely wonderful! I don't know what's going on with this world, but this is all too interesting! Let's have a good fight, you legendary monsters!"

At this moment, Victor's true nature was completely unleashed. His body once again erupted with a terrifying amount of magical power. With a loud sonic boom, he flew rapidly towards the Black Goats.

"Nature Magic, World of Trees!"

Under the effect of the magic circle, the magic power of the Fiendfyre world was absorbed. A massive, boundless green sea of trees, a hundred meters tall, rose from the ground, instantly forming a continuous green tsunami.

The sea of trees and the herd of Black Goats collided. The Black Goats were pushed to the ground and were crushed into clumps of flesh by the powerful force of the trees.

But what was unbelievable was that even so, the Black Goats didn't die. They let out a piercing squeal that was completely inconsistent with their evil and ugly appearance. Their pus-like blood splattered onto the giant trees, causing plumes of black smoke to rise. The sea of trees was rapidly corroded and destroyed at a visible speed.

"Immortality?" Victor's eyes narrowed as he looked at the Black Goats, which had re-formed into chunks of flesh. It seemed that physical attacks were useless against these things.

In the next moment, hundreds of massive golden magic circles suddenly appeared in the sky.

"Solar Flare!"

BOOM!!!

Giant, blazing solar beams pierced through and engulfed the Black Goats, causing violent explosions. Hundreds of large, connected, hemispherical fireballs appeared on the gray-brown ground.

As the light gradually faded, Victor used X-ray vision and could see that in the smoke after the explosions, all the Black Goats that had been hit by Solar Flare were reduced to nothing more than small bits of flesh wiggling on the charred ground.

"Did I get them?" Victor wondered. But in the next second, a terrifying screech came from behind him. The powerful mental shock almost broke through his Mind Ward.

For some unknown reason, perhaps because they sensed the death of their companions, the subsequent Black Goats that had been walking with heavy footsteps suddenly let out a piercing sound like that of a baby. The black flesh on the ground then began to roll wildly, instantly turning into plumes of black smoke that flew backward.

Victor watched in horror as the oncoming Black Goats opened their large, round mouths dripping with black pus and swallowed all the black smoke. Their bodies instantly grew bigger.

"What in Merlin's name is this?!" Victor's scalp tingled. If this was the case, and there was an infinite number of Black Goats, what was the point of fighting? He would be worn down and die!

Wooooo...

Just then, a low moan came from behind him.

The Leviathans had begun to come ashore from the lava sea.

Victor looked up at the Fiendfyre Demons in the sky, who were getting closer. A bead of cold sweat rolled down his forehead. "I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew..."

He faintly realized that the pure magic in his body was a fatal temptation for the creatures of this world. To be honest, he wanted to run, but his competitiveness made him unwilling to leave just yet!

He was a pro gamer back on Earth, specializing in Yasuo, Darius, and Tryndamere. So, in a fit of excitement, Victor instantly made a decision: he would go all out and fight them!

In the unknown Fiendfyre world, on the boundless gray-brown wasteland, in the violent and chaotic red sea of fire, and under the silent and chaotic gray sky, a "small" human was fighting wildly against a group of monsters that only existed in legends.

Under the silent, hazy sky, various huge magic circles of all colors were constantly shining. Meteors wrapped in flames, blazing destructive light beams, extreme and bitter cold, a giant sea of tree golems, and tearing storms mixed with lightning—all were unleashed.

Countless Fiendfyre Demons were hit by powerful magic and instantly turned into purple mush and blood that fell to the ground like rain, becoming delicious food for the Black Goats.

Dozens of Leviathans spewed Fiendfyre that could cover the sky, but a blue line cut through the air, and in the next second, their smoke-spewing heads were cleanly sliced off. The giant snakes died with regret.

The Black Goats constantly devoured the delicious feast and became even more enormous. But their five thick, goat-like legs could no longer support their massive bodies. The black chunks of flesh tore through the gray-black clouds and fell, leaving a series of jagged cracks on the wasteland.

At that moment, a lightning storm as big as a Black Goat hit. The huge black chunk of flesh was instantly torn into shreds, and the power of the lightning turned the shreds into ash.

At this point, Victor had gone mad. He recklessly hurled countless Great Magic spells at the surrounding monsters. Fairy Glitter rained down on the Leviathans and Black Goats. Solar Flare turned into a machine gun, skewering everything in sight.

On the surface, Victor seemed to have the upper hand, with countless monsters falling by his hand. But in reality, his situation was very dire.

The battle had been going on for several hours. Even with his vast amount of magic power, he couldn't keep casting Great Magic like this. Moreover, the magic in this world was too chaotic and unruly. It was even more unstable than the magic in Earth Land.

Because of this, it took Victor 0.5 seconds longer than usual to carve a magic circle, and it was that short amount of time that almost cost him his life.

Just a few minutes ago, to completely kill a Black Goat that was several times taller than Ultraman, Victor was a step too slow in carving a five-layered magic circle. He was suddenly sent flying by another monster that had just joined the battle.

If he hadn't had powerful defensive magic on him and his Sky Magic wasn't constantly running, he would have died on the spot.

The Nameless Mist, one of the Outer Gods in the Cthulhu Mythos. Its form is a black mist made of pure shadows, with thousands of eyes shining within it.

Gug, a minion and slave of the Nameless Mist. They are large black beasts, with two forearms with claws on each arm. Their feet resemble those of a bird or a dinosaur, and their bodies are covered in shiny black fur. Their faces are very ferocious, with a pair of protruding eyes on the sides of their heads and a vertical giant mouth with jagged teeth on the front of their heads.

Just now, a clump of Nameless Mist suddenly appeared next to Victor. Then, a tall Gug roared out of the mist and sent Victor flying with a single slap.
