Chapter 159 - Fiendfyre World, Demons?

Time turned back ten hours.

After his duel with Dumbledore in Nurmengard, Victor went home and lazed around for a while, but eventually grew bored and decided to go into seclusion.

And so, that morning, he finally completed the magical reconstruction of the Fiendfyre Curse. The portal to another world was finally opened.

Looking at the mysterious portal in front of him, Victor could feel that the magic on the other side was chaotic and unruly. To be safe, he first put several layers of powerful magical shields on himself before stepping into the portal.

With a flash of white light, Victor arrived in a new and mysterious world. The first thing he saw was a blinding, fiery red landscape and a boundless sea of solidified Fiendfyre lava. It constantly spat huge tongues of flame into the sky, exuding a terrifying aura of destruction.

In addition, there was no land as far as the eye could see. The air was so scorched that it was completely warped, and there was no oxygen for a person to breathe. And that wasn't even the worst part.

As soon as he entered this new world, Victor suddenly felt a mysterious force pulling at the negative emotions in his heart: arrogance, anger, lust. Everything that could affect a person's sanity was trying to crowd into his mind.

If it weren't for the protection of his Mind Ward, his consciousness would probably have been in a state of chaos.

He quickly drank a sobering potion brewed from Helena's venom and then used a magic to create oxygen. Only then did Victor feel some relief.

As he carefully felt his surroundings, the power of the Fiendfyre sea had already battered his magical shield. Victor quickly applied the power of Finite Incantatem to the shield.

The Fiendfyre that collided with it was instantly converted into countless pure, raw magical particles, painting a faint rainbow trail in the sky.

He looked up into the distance.

The Fiendfyre lava sea stretched on to the horizon, with no end in sight.

Victor looked at the hellish scene in front of him and couldn't help but wonder if there could be any life in a place like this. He then looked up at the fiery red, chaotic sky, where countless clouds of black smoke were constantly rolling.

After thinking for a moment, Victor immediately decided on his next course of action.

A blue light flashed under his feet, and he used his Sky Magic to its full extent. His entire body instantly vanished from the spot. A huge sonic boom then echoed across the sky.

A huge tongue of flame that was blocking Victor's path was torn open, and the scattered Fiendfyre came into contact with the power of Finite Incantatem, turning into pure magical particles that drew a faint rainbow trail in the sky.

But what Victor didn't know at the time was that his actions had already begun to attract some of the native inhabitants of this world. Compared to the chaotic and unruly magic of this world, the pure magic converted by Finite Incantatem was like blood in the water to the local residents.

Victor charged into the black clouds at an incredible speed. He just wanted to see what kind of place this was. Was it a planet? Or some other world that defied all logic?

Victor felt his vision go dark, and he was instantly in a state of extreme darkness. It was nothing but black. There was no light in the clouds. Even when Victor held his hand up to his face, his vision was still black, and he couldn't see a thing. He couldn't even feel the mass of the clouds or the breeze that made them roll.

He flew for about a minute, and the environment was still the same. Victor stopped flying. His intuition told him that flying further up wouldn't change anything. This strange place was more of a space than a world.

So, he decided to temporarily exit the black clouds and return to the lava sea. Victor looked up and saw that it had taken him less than half a minute to get out of the black clouds!

That was strange. Had he been flying in circles for a while? Victor was puzzled, but he immediately pushed the question out of his mind and decided to choose a direction to explore.

Half an hour later, he finally saw a piece of land on the distant horizon.

"Found it!" Victor shouted excitedly, then burst into a full-speed flight.

At the coast of the lava sea, the gray rocks under his feet were a little soft, like un-solidified asphalt. He looked around. The barren gray-brown land stretched on endlessly, with no sign of life.

"Tsk. What in Merlin's name is this place?" Victor frowned. So far, he had only encountered inanimate objects on his way. There wasn't a single living thing. Was this world a complete wasteland?

Just as Victor was thinking about whether he should go back, he suddenly heard a faint roar, like that of an animal. He quickly turned his head towards the sound and saw countless bright red dots blinking in the hazy sky in the distance, approaching him.

Something had found him by scent!

"What are those?" Victor instinctively frowned, then activated his Eagle Eye to look into the distance.

A strange creature, at least three to four meters tall, with a fiery red body, scales, a devil's face, crimson pupils, ram horns, a deer's body, bat wings, four legs, and four arms, and covered in Fiendfyre, came into view.

They had ferocious expressions and were flying densely in the sky, their mouths open to reveal their sharp teeth as they flew towards Victor.

"Ooh! Finally, something that moves! But these guys don't look very friendly." Victor revealed an excited smile. He had thought that his adventure in this new world would be for nothing!

He had spent almost a year restructuring the Fiendfyre Curse's magical structure and successfully opened the portal! He had worked so hard for so long, and he wasn't just here out of curiosity!

Victor tried to search his mind for any information on a monster that matched the one in front of him, but as expected, he couldn't find any.

A devil's face, two horns on its head, and covered in Fiendfyre...

So, he could only temporarily call this unknown monster a "Fiendfyre Demon"!

Victor stood his ground and waited. When he could see the Fiendfyre Demons with his naked eye, all of them suddenly began to let out a shriek that sounded like a mic with static. They spewed violently pulsating Fiendfyre from their mouths, and then thousands of fire columns, each about a meter in diameter, flew towards Victor.

"Rho Aias." Victor narrowed his eyes and waved his hand. A pink magic circle unfolded, and a giant seven-layered shield, shaped like a flower, was summoned.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

All the fire columns hit the Rho Aias, causing a series of violent explosions. The scattered Fiendfyre even scorched the surrounding rocks fiery red.

The first wave of attacks was completely blocked, but Victor looked at the tattered shield, which now had only one layer left, and his expression was no longer as relaxed as before.

"Tsk... that power is a bit ridiculous, isn't it?"

The defensive power of Rho Aias was capable of completely blocking Acnologia's roar, but the Fiendfyre columns spewed by the demons almost broke through the last layer of the shield.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

While Victor was still a bit stunned, the Fiendfyre Demons' second wave of attack arrived. This time, he didn't try to take the hit. Instead, he leaped into the air, flying up to avoid the attack.

Looking at the scorching, smoking ground below, Victor snapped out of his shock. He smiled and said to himself, "In that case, let's have some fun! My hands have been itching for a while now since my last fight with the old geezer!"

He used his Requip Magic and changed into a light combat suit. He didn't have to worry about destroying the environment here, and he could use his full power without restraint!

In the next second, a shocking amount of magical power suddenly burst from Victor's body. Gusts of wind, like shockwaves, constantly spread outwards.

The Fiendfyre Demons felt the pure magic that Victor released and became extremely excited. All the demons screamed wildly and flapped their wings, lunging at Victor. Several magic circles of different colors lit up around Victor.

The next second, an intense battle broke out on the coast of the lava sea. The gray rocks on the ground were constantly being lifted by powerful forces and falling into the lava sea.

Countless broken limbs—heads, arms, strange internal organs, and wriggling purple flesh, kept falling from the sky. Some of them were wrapped in ice and shattered into pieces, some had clean cuts, some looked like they had been flattened by a heavy object, and some were even twisted into a pretzel shape.

The purplish-red blood turned into a rain of blood that landed on the scorching rocks. Countless internal organs and chunks of flesh were slowly roasted into charcoal by the ground.

The entire coast of the lava sea was filled with a disgusting smell of roasted meat.

About ten minutes later, the last Fiendfyre Demon was flattened into a meat patty by a giant rock hand.

"Haaa..." Victor stretched his limbs and let out a long sigh of relief. "Seriously, has my body gone rusty from not fighting for so long? Why did I feel so stiff just now?"
