It was pleasantly cool in the house, after the sticky heat outside. Eva has lived her life as an adult orphan,she has been under the agency till her 18th birthday. She worked and lived in the outskirts of the country. Story had it of the sexual assaults of women in the neighborhood
The suspected group of men , whose work where assaulting of women mainly for money. The group worked under alias making their operation difficult to be shut down. The feds digged and investigated yet, there seems not to be any roots operations that they the team leaves behind. "Wise asses" Eva thought. Their activities are confidential,they wouldn't make the mistake of leaving out evidences that can be used to track them down. Eva checked into her partners house, Kate who just moved into the vicinity.
"Eva ,I would strongly advise against you out in your own late nights '.
" it's a stupid thing to do I admit,but does that mean I can't visit " she asked
" Of course not, I'm speaking in the effect that I don't know who the next victim might be ".
" You're stressing this issue,we both know that we aren't victims " she said.
" Seems to me the assault expands to wide range of women. The last victim was still active, inspite of her advancing years ".
" Her beauty appeared ageless ".she said
" She accepted to marry the disguised assaulter because,she was afraid of upsetting he parents" Kate said .
" Kate it paralyses me how they investigate about their victims. They knew,she was having an affair with her boss . They utilised the opportunity,warned him off and took advantage of her parents."
" The feds should put more effort . She was forced to marry him against her will . The parents never knew his real identity " she added
" Well ,in the meantime we're going into business,The agency work is too stressful Eva".
" Hmm ,I love the job yet I can't deny the stress."
" Kate, these assault investigations does it also centre on what happens to the victims after the assault ".
" I don't know, but why are the question?".
"According to what I heard ,the victims are kidnapped,sexually assaulted,detained by the group. There might be grievous bodily harm,and then what happens?". Eva prompted.
" I think , the victims are killed and maybe they request for more ransom " .
" Ah !, but that may not be true. Maybe they never kill the victims but keep them for selfish purposes or they kill them and burn their bodies " Eva added .
" Thinking of it , i've never heard news of a dead body of an assaulted victim. These case is too complicated " Eva stood up to leave.
" You're not leaving already are you ?" Kate asked, without waiting for an answer, she offered to drop her off .
" I'd prefer to walk". she said
" Alright see you later" Kate said
As she leaves Kate's apartment,she was deeply apprehensive that something might go wrong.
Looking around the vicinity , it's a pleasant anf cool area . Yet four women have been sexually assaulted in the arena recently
