Many people have already read it, while many others are just starting to discover it. Unfortunately, the original author wrote it in their native language, and the versions uploaded online are often poorly translated. While the automatic translations aren't entirely wrong, the ones available here are very difficult to read. When I first started reading it, I felt frustrated. Sometimes I couldn't even tell who was speaking, who was being spoken to, or what was really happening in the scene. Eventually, I gave up reading altogether because it was too confusing. That’s why I’ve decided to re-upload all the chapters in a clearer and more accurate form, so that everyone can enjoy and understand the story better. If you like this version, please leave a comment to show your support it encourages me to keep going! .........*******........********.........…****** And to the original author: If you feel that I am doing something wrong or misrepresenting your work in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I will respectfully stop uploading upon your request.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Breakup

Great! Here's a complete rewritten version of Chapter 1 titled "Breakup", with corrected grammar, improved flow, natural dialogue, deeper emotional developme

My name is Ye Chen, and I'm seventeen years old.

I grew up in a quiet, remote village, raised by my grandfather after my parents passed away. Life was simple but peaceful. I spent my days helping in the fields and studying by candlelight, dreaming of something more.

Everything changed when my grandfather passed away last year. With no one left to care for me, I made a choice....leave the village, move to the city, and find my own path.

I worked part-time jobs to support myself while attending Hexing High School. Despite the hardships, I studied hard, determined to make a better future.

Three months after transferring to Hexing, I met her.

Her name was Yu Ting.

She had shoulder-length hair, stood around 155 centimeters, and carried herself with a quiet charm. Though she wasn't the most popular girl in school, to me, she was beautiful ..kind, shy, and full of smiles.

We started dating. For nine months, we shared meals, study sessions, and shy laughter under city lights. But everything began to change in our second year.

We were placed in different classes, and gradually, Yu Ting started to drift away. She stopped replying to messages, ignored my calls, and canceled plans more and more often.

I told myself she was just busy.

I was wrong.

---

It was Sunday. Both school and her workplace were off today, and I had just gotten paid from my part-time job. I planned to treat her to a small date maybe grab coffee at Starbucks, like we used to.

I skipped meals all week, even ate leftovers at the restaurant where I worked, just to save enough money for this.

But… she didn't answer my calls. Not one.

"Where are you, Ting Ting?" I muttered, glaring at my phone. "Why won't you answer?"

Frustrated and hungry, I left my boarding house and walked to the shopping district. I tried to shake off the worry, heading toward a food stall.

"Uncle, one plate of fried noodles and a soda, please," I said, my voice flat.

As I waited, a loud roar echoed through the street ...Vroooom!

A sleek black BMW Sport car pulled up beside the curb, gleaming under the afternoon sun. Everyone nearby turned to look, including me.

The passenger door opened, and my heart froze.

It was Yu Ting.

She stepped out of the car, her hand wrapped intimately around the arm of a tall, well-dressed young man. He looked like the kind of guy you'd see in fashion magazines...neat hair, polished shoes, expensive cologne.

I felt the blood drain from my face.

I stood up.

My food remained untouched.

I walked toward them, each step heavier than the last.

"Ting Ting!" I called out, my voice sharper than I intended.

Yu Ting turned around. The smile vanished from her face. She quickly released the man's arm.

"Y-Ye Chen?! What… what are you doing here?" she stammered.

"I should be the one asking that," I said coldly. "Who is he? Why are you with him?"

She opened her mouth but couldn't seem to find the words.

The man beside her raised a brow. "Who's this?" he asked casually.

"He's… he's my ex-boyfriend," Yu Ting said, eyes avoiding mine.

Ex-boyfriend?

Her words struck like a knife to my chest.

"Ohhh," the man sneered, giving me a dismissive glance. "So this is the poor kid you told me about?"

I clenched my fists.

Anger surged through me. My hand trembled. I almost raised it..almost..but stopped. I couldn't bring myself to hit her, no matter how much it hurt.

"Why, Yu Ting?" My voice cracked. "Tell me

why did you choose him over me?"

Her lips curled into a cold smile. "You want the truth? I'm tired of struggling. I'm tired of being with someone who can't even afford a proper meal."

She pointed at the man beside her. "He can give me the things, you never could clothes, jewelry, a decent phone.

What can you give me, Ye Chen? Love? Can love buy me dinner?"

I stood there in silence.

My stomach churned....not from hunger, but from betrayal.

All those nights I skipped meals, all those hours I worked late just to be with her…

"I see," I said, swallowing the lump in my throat. "I guess I've been blind, loving someone like you."

I turned my back on her.

"From today onward," I said, voice steady, "we're done. Don't ever look for me again."

And I walked away ....without looking back.

---

A few minutes later, I finally sat on a bench, clutching my growling stomach.

"Damn… I didn't eat anything all day," I muttered, rubbing my belly.

I checked the time. Ten minutes before the bus departed. I hurried to a nearby stall, bought two steamed buns and a bottle of water, then made my way to the terminal.

Before boarding, I sent a message to my homeroom teacher asking for a few days of leave.

---

The bus ride back to the village took around six to seven hours. As night fell, the city lights gave way to open roads and empty fields. One by one, passengers got off at their villages.

Eventually, only I was left.

Suddenly, the bus began to shake.

"Uncle, what's wrong?" I asked the driver.

"Looks like we've got a flat," he said after checking. "Sorry, kid. We can't go any further until morning."

He offered to let me sleep on the bus, but I refused.

"It's alright. I'll walk the rest of the way. It's not far."

I paid the fare and got off. The road ahead was narrow and dark. The only light came from a crescent moon and a few scattered stars.

I walked alone for a few minutes, listening to the rustle of trees and the crunch of gravel under my feet.

Then, something strange happened.

I saw… someone floating in the sky.

An old man, dressed in white robes, his long silver hair fluttering in the air. He glowed faintly in the darkness.

I froze.

This had to be a dream. A trick of the light.

Ghost?

I wasn't a superstitious guy. I lived in the modern world.

I didn't believe in ghosts or flying immortals.

But when the figure slowly descended toward me, fear gripped my chest.

"W-What the hell…?" I stammered, stumbling back.

The figure moved silently, drawing closer.

My instincts screamed.

I turned and ran.....ran like hell.

"Ghost!!"
