She came back home to the apartment she and her grandma usually stayed in. She had paid the doctor and now her grandma's illness is under research. She must find a way out at all cost.
To her, her only problem at the moment was her grandma. The woman needs to be safe first. She went to her room and threw her body on the bed. Thinking—this is her life now? It was so horrible and she hated herself for that. She hated that she doesn't get to live a normal life just like any other lady would. Next month she will be eighteen and she was just too young to give herself out to a vampire, a vampire royal at that.
Thinking about it, it sounds so laughable. How could a vampire royal want to marry a human girl? It doesn't make any sense at all. And she doesn't even want to think of that part at the moment.
She went to the kitchen and just stood by the door looking inside it. She didn't even feel hungry though she hadn't eaten anything since morning and it was now 11 pm.
She sighed and went back to her room. Jumping on the bed, she drifted to sleep.
Beeep! Beep!
Her phone beeped, waking her up. And look at who was calling.

Without wasting much time she answered the call.
"Good morning sir, how is my grandma?" she asked with anticipation in her tone.
There was a little silence at the other end.
"Doctor? Are you there? How is my grandma's condition?"
"She regained consciousness and you can come visit her. But I can't guarantee her surviving this," he said, and with that he hung up. Ella's eyes widened.
Her grandma had been unconscious for over a month now and she just woke up? She quickly ran to the bathroom to freshen up and then went to the kitchen to grab some cookies as she felt so hungry.
Within five minutes she was ready for the hospital. She took a taxi and in no time she was in the hospital.
Her grandma had been transferred to another room and even had nurses taking care of her from time to time.
Ella entered the room and saw her grandma with eyes open.
"Ella my dear," the old woman tried to speak as her lifeless voice came out hoarse.
"Grandma, grandma don't worry you'll be okay I promise you that. Don't worry," Ella said as she felt so emotional seeing her grandma conscious.
"My dear, don't worry about me, my time has come. You just need to worry about yourself now okay," but Ella shook her head.
"No grandma, stay with me okay? I promise I'll give you a better life. I can't live without you. Please just keep fighting."
She said as she took her grandma's hands in her little ones and caressed them. Tears welled up as they rolled down her gorgeous, beautiful cheeks.
"Ma'am," the doctor entered the room and she quickly rushed up to him.
"How is she?" she asked, though she already heard what the doctor said on the phone.
"Like I said earlier ma'am, it's not guaranteed and this is just temporary," he replied and her already pounding heart beat more and more.
"Is there really no way out? What illness is she suffering from?" she asked, hoping for a positive reply.
"I couldn't find a particular illness name and all we know is all her organs are down." Ella was about to faint.
It could've been her on that bed and not her grandma.
Beep! Beep!
She looked at her phone and saw a message:
Come here immediately ~Lucas
She was downfallen. Lucas said today would be the day for her to start her new life. Taking a deep breath, she walked up to her grandma.
"Grandma, I need to leave. Please stay safe." She landed a kiss on her grandma's forehead.
"You too my girl. Don't worry too much about me ok?" and Ella nodded reluctantly. She took a step back, and then brought out her phone, taking a selfie of her and her grandma, both of them smiling. And then she left.

She was now inside a church, dressed in pure white without any makeup at all. She just sat there all pretty but alone.
Lucas told her she would be alone at the wedding and she was totally fine with that. After all, it's not like she wants to fall in love or something. Her mind drifted back to whom she will be marrying.
A vampire royal, someone she never met before. A vampire prince.
She couldn't help but gasp. It was still a joke to her and all this just felt so laughable. She breathed in and then out.
Soon, the priest told her that they would be coming to pick her up.
"My husband?" she asked, and that word 'my husband' sounded a bit awful. She can't believe she was married.
"No, ma'am, your personal maid," he informed.
She was left speechless. She hadn't even seen this mysterious husband of hers.
However, she had no choice but to just wait.
Minutes later, an SUV pulled up in front of the church. Ella's heart pounded more and more. They were all vampires.
How could she possibly live with just vampires? The only vampire she was close to was her friend Lucas. And she knew him ever since she was little.
Three women dressed in pure white came inside the church and helped Ella stand up. She just followed them as they took her to the car and all she could do was just follow.
They helped her into the back seat and minutes later they were on the road to the vampire's palace.
Just like that she is married? Unbelievable.
She had all kinds of dreams and now, she wasn't allowed to do that any longer.
It was a little difficult to accept her new identity.
Soon, the SUV entered the large gates and everywhere was just screaming 'danger.' She knew she was downfallen.
They drove inward and inward and it finally stopped at one of the gray mansions. The vampire palace had multiple mansions in it and it was extremely large. She only heard of it in stories but now, she'll be living here?
Life sure is funny.
They helped her out of the car and led her into the large, beautiful mansion and she just obeyed and went with them.
As soon as she entered the large sitting room, a lady that looked as if she was in her forties with fiery red hair and red eyes appeared.
She came personally to welcome Ella, and Ella could tell who she was by just looking at her.
The queen of vampires.
She walked up to her with a bright smile on her face.
"Welcome to the family, human girl."
