Chapter 33 - The Final Stand

The howls of war echoed through the forest like thunder rolling over mountains. Under the silver glow of the full moon, Alpha Karl's warriors charged from the shadows, blades drawn, fangs bared. But they weren't met with fear.

They were met with fire.

Damon stood at the front, his wolf form massive, golden eyes blazing with fury. Beside him, Nyla shifted, her transformation seamless. Her fur shimmered midnight black with silver streaks—royal, rare, and fearsome.

Behind them, the united pack waited, silent and poised.

Karl emerged, cocky and confident, his own wolf form towering, eyes locked on Damon. "Didn't expect me to come this fast, did you?"

Damon snarled, "Didn't expect us to be ready, did you?"

With a roar, the battle began.

Fur clashed, claws raked, and spells of older bloodline magic crackled in the air. Nyla leapt into the chaos, agile and precise. She dodged a warrior's blade, spun midair, and took him down in one clean move. Damon tore through Karl's elite guards, his power unmatched.

But it was when they fought side by side—back to back—that the battle truly turned.

Karl lunged at Nyla, claws ready to rip through her chest, but Damon intercepted, slamming into him mid-air. "You won't touch her," he growled.

Karl grunted, "You've grown soft!"

"And you've grown foolish," Nyla replied, launching a surge of raw power from her palm that sent Karl crashing into the trees.

The hidden pack arrived just in time, led by their elder who nodded at Nyla. "We hold the left flank."

Chaos raged, but slowly, surely, Damon and Nyla's pack pushed forward. The enemy faltered. One by one, Karl's wolves fell or fled.

Karl stumbled back, wounded and cornered. Damon stepped forward, bloodied but unbroken. "It's over."

Karl growled, but Nyla raised a hand. "You wanted power. You gambled everything for it. You lost."

With a final roar, Damon ended it, pinning Karl down until he submitted—stripped of his alpha rights.

Victory.

Cheers erupted as the enemy surrendered. The pack rallied around their leaders. Bloodied but alive. Wounded but triumphant.

Damon wrapped an arm around Nyla's waist, pulling her close. "We did it."

She smiled, panting. "Together."

And beneath the stars, their pack howled—not in pain, but in glory. United. Victorious. Unbreakable.
