I got up for my work, and I felt like there was no point in covering myself and staying inside the egg.
I decided to join my company because I cannot let them win over me, and I am not the type of person who needs to depend on someone.
I came out and felt a knock on my door. I looked out and saw some boxes. When I opened them, I found out it was all my accessories and my essentials.
I was wondering about going back to my apartment but this touched my heart. I took it inside, didn't arrange it, but only took some which are required.
I took a shower and put on my formal dress. I walked down and found him in the kitchen.
Shirtless and wearing an apron, I couldn't help but drool over it. I guess I have done some good deeds, that's why God is blessing me with such a wonderful morning.
People dreamed of seeing him half naked in front of them, and now I am living those millions of dreams seeing the Most Handsome Man In The Hollywood Industry Cooking for me in an apron.
I saw his back portion seducing me so deeply and I could feel myself falling for that edge.
"Like what you seeing?" He smirked.
What the hell, how did he know?
"Got up!" He changed the subject.
I snapped out of it and then walked near him. "Yeah!"
"Where to?" He asked me to see that I am in formal attire and then to place the bread on the plate.
"Office!" I replied, taking my seat at the dining table.
He paused what he was doing and met my gaze.
"Are you sure!" He asked me.
"River, I cannot stay here forever. Someday, I have to face it, so why not prepare for it now?" I replied.
"Good!" Then he placed the sandwich he created with mayonnaise, sauce, cabbage, bacon and bread with chocolate milk on a glass.
"Thank you for my things!" I whispered.
"My pleasure!" He smiled at me.
"For my brave girl who decided to fight for it!" He sat and joined me for breakfast, but as expected, he was having cereal.
I smiled at him and then I asked him "What about you?"
"I will be heading over to the company for a meeting!" He said taking a spoon in his mouth.
"By the way, my driver will drop you off!" He wasn't saying but ordered.
I looked at him and didn't say anything. Finished my food, got up and then began to walk out I felt him following me.
As we walked out, he hugged me and whispered in my ear, "Take care, and I will always be beside you. You can call me anytime, I have saved my number, my beloved!"
"Thank you so much for everything!" I whispered back.
Then he released me gently and I took the back seat. The driver began to drive and I waved at him.
Just then, we saw the mansion and drove towards the city. Come to think of it, it was situated at the outskirts of the city, and there were more villas.
Then he dropped me and I thanked the driver for the trip. He left, and then I got a call from Selena.
I almost forgot that Selena and I always catch up before we head to our respective places.
"Where are you?" She asked me.
"Meet me at the break, but somewhere different, and I will explain everything!" I told her and I know she will understand.
"Okay!" She didn't ask and hung up.
Then I entered the office and felt everybody staring at me. I felt awkward and heard some whispers about me.
I felt odd, and then I heard my phone vibrating. I wasn't surprised to see it's my mom because she does call me to keep tabs on me once a week or in month.
I received it and placed it on my shoulders while I opened my laptop.
"You stupid brat!" I heard her screaming.
"What happened, Mom?" I asked her calmly, not knowing what was happening.
"Come at once!" She didn't say anything and hung up.
Maybe it's an emergency, and then I was called into the office. The boss called me, and I walked in feeling nervous because people around me were already acting so strangely.
"Do you have any explanation?" He asked me.
I felt clueless and speechless, then I remembered that he wanted his autograph, so I quickly rushed out and gave him one.
He was happy and screamed "Oh Jesus!" and then straightened his back, acting professional.
"Thank you that means it's true!" I was trying hard to know what was happening, and then I walked out.
Feeling stared again, and then I opened my phone. Selena sent me a link.
"Oh Shoot!" I screamed.
That's why they were all acting strange, because there is a picture of me hugging the river, and not only that, my pictures of getting out of the car.
No wonder my mom is mad and will definitely kill me. I took a half day off, and as expected, he granted me a day off.

I quickly rushed home and saw my mom on the stairs gracefully coming down.
"Mom...!"

"That's why you cancelled your engagement because you found a sugar daddy, and what's this?"
She lifted a photo, it was of last night, River carrying me downstairs in his arms.
"MOM I CAN EXPLAIN!" I whispered while tears began to roll down.
"Don't you have already humiliated us. Now don't expect us to clean it and get out!" She said.
I walked out and stood at the gate. I saw a River car waiting for me. I sat in the back seat and asked him to take me home.
Even though I wanted to ask him how he knew, right now my body is heavy. I silently cried until we reached River's home.
Then I got out and saw River standing in front of the window looking out. He turned towards me and then asked in a low voice, "Are you alright?"
I tried my best to be strong and act like it's fine. He began to come closer, and when he wrapped me in his arms, I couldn't control myself but cried.
I began to press myself and cried harder. The slap hit me harder than anything. I felt I had lost the trust of everyone.
"It's alright my beloved!" He tried to calm me down.
