Sonny's POV
After the meeting with Riven, Killian and I went back to the sect.
It would be a lie to say I was nervous. After all, it would be facing the sect alone if the battle ever came in the future.
The whole sect knows about my identity, and they could do anything they want to me, but I'm not afraid. I think some part of me always knew this day would come.
I was just lucky to survive this long. I looked down and noticed Killian being silent, and I wanted to take this moment to observe his face. Without him glaring or being suspicious in my direction.
Although we fought a lot due to our differences, I truly would hope he would side with me, but I would have to see as time goes on. Who would he choose? His sect or me.
He must have felt the stare on his face; thus, he turned to stare back at me. Showing no fear. And I didn't show any shame of being caught.
Thus I grinned.
