Chapter 1 - ch:1 "Where Scarlet Blooms"

The new university year began with freshmen roaming about during orientation week.

The International Affairs faculty held a ceremony, and although all the faculty members were present, Han didn't attend. He thought it would be so boring to be at an event like this and chose peace, so he slept on a bench in the basketball dressing room.

The international affairs faculty had a tradition: senior students with the same roll number were responsible for their juniors. Because Han didn't want to attend the ceremony, he gave his friend Jun a gift for his junior. Han was a third-year senior. The Senior originally assigned to him transferred to another university, so he had to take care of a first-year junior instead.

The ceremony started. Every freshman was called and introduced to their senior. When it was Han's junior's turn, Jun went up to hand over the gift and apologize on Han's behalf.

The junior felt a deep sense of disappointment and neglect; his high expectations for a warm welcome were now shattered. For Han it's was just a small thing but for him it's serious matter. He was hurt deeply. Things were already not working for him and then Han did this with him. I truly hated him the most. He quietly promised himself not to meet his senior.

Little did he know that three days later, everyone was selecting clubs. The junior, still hoping to find his place, went to the basketball desk and applied. He asked the senior, "Can I go to the basketball club?"

The senior replied casually, "Yes, just go straight to the fifth block, and then on the right side, you'll find the basketball club."

A spark of excitement ignited within him.

He kept walking for about 30 minutes, his initial enthusiasm slowly replaced by frustration.

"Oh, God, how far is this fifth block?" he muttered, breathing heavily. "Oh, I want to die. It's been a long time since I've used my strength this much."

He continued muttering and cursing under his breath. Finally, he looked up and saw the basketball club.

A wave of relief and joy washed over him. "Oh, God, thank you, thank you," he gasped, still heavily breathing.

When he entered, he saw Jun playing.

Jun, noticing his labored breathing, stopped. "Oh boy, you're here! Did you join the club?"

He answered, still winded and with his hands on his knees, "Yes."

"Jun, you look tired," Jun observed.

"Thanks, Hyung, for noticing."

"Jun, you can go to the dressing room and rest if you want."

He nodded, grateful for the offer, and went straight to the dressing room.

When he entered, he saw a beautiful person sleeping on the bench, one hand tucked under their head. Blonde hair was falling over their face. They had shoulder-length hair.

Suddenly, all his tiredness slowly faded as he stepped forward, a sense of curiosity and wonder pulling him closer. It's felt like the time had stopped. He never felt this much relieved. All the worries all the anxiety had gone away. He was shocked that how just by watch someone for the first time can make you feel like this.

It was a love at first sight.

The junior thought, "Is she a girl? No, why would a girl be sleeping here? Then, is he a man? Nope, he's too beautiful to be a man."

He put his bag down and slowly got closer until his face was just five centimeters away from theirs. He smiled to himself, a playful fascination taking hold. His eyes filled with hope.

But that felling didn't last for long His hand, resting on the bench, suddenly slipped, making him fall onto tit He accidentally kissed them. Han, jolted awake and shocked, immediately kicked him away.
