Teni's head spun as the internet exploded with rumors.
"Who did this?" she demanded.
Dami's jaw clenched. "I have enemies. Board members. Camille, maybe."
"But people believe it! I'm trending as '#BudgetWife'!"
He paced. "This could ruin the company. Investors will panic."
"What about me? My life's online now. My parents called asking if I'm in Nollywood!"
He sighed. "We have to fix this. Together."
She crossed her arms. "You mean… like a real couple?"
He looked at her, serious. "Yes. Like a real couple."
And that was when she realized: she was already acting like his real wife.
