Chapter 3 - The Reborn Child

After understanding his current situation, he felt things were very unreal. Being reborn is something one normally sees in fantasy novels. Never, not even in his wildest dreams, would he have thought something like this would happen to him.

Astra had a lot on his mind right now. He unexpectedly felt his thinking was extremely quick; it seemed he could recall every detail of his past life with extreme clarity.

Before, his mind was like a mid-range computer; now, it felt beyond even a quantum computer, though he didn't know how much higher, but he was certain it was quite a lot. He could analyze things in more detail and calmly, and thanks to that, he was able to determine that he had been reborn very quickly.

Overall, it's a very novel sensation. He thought so.

However, these new abilities only brought more questions than answers, questions impossible to answer at this point due to a lack of information. After all, although he now feels his brain is countless times better than before, you can't know everything without having information. Suddenly, a warm sensation pulled him from his thoughts. When he came out of his thoughts, the first thing he noticed was that the servant holding him had her hand raised, and a strange white pattern was shining a light on it. He assumed that light was the source of that comforting warmth. He immediately thought of something he had seen before he was reborn.

Magic.

Meanwhile, he listened to people talking happily. Although he couldn't really understand anything they were saying, he felt he needed to analyze it more closely to be able to partially understand anything.

But he stopped thinking about that and immersed himself in the sensation the light gave him. It was so comfortable that he fully enjoyed it.

Then Astra heard words in an unknown language again.

"Please, Maria. Let me see my son," Stella said, with a mixture of anxiety and anticipation.

"Yes, Master. Here he is."

Being handed into another's arms, he raised his head and came face to face with who he assumed was his mother in this life.

It was a feeling difficult to describe. The woman's face held warmth, familiarity... and an emotion that seemed a mix of tenderness and expectation. She looked at him with great affection; she seemed like a very kind woman and conveyed a lot of warmth.

But, on the other hand, he also felt a little uncomfortable given that he had a mother before. Just thinking about this made his head spin, and the memory of his mother, which, thanks to the change in his brain, was clearer.

A feeling of anxiety began to fill him, but he quickly tried to calm himself down; after all, he shouldn't show such emotions as a baby.

After managing to control his growing emotions, he gave an inward sigh.

Forget it, for now, let's let things flow and worry about other things in the future.

After sorting out his situation, Astra stared at the woman holding him.

He had to accept that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She had snow-white hair that extended to her waist, and her blue eyes were like the brightest gems. A phrase came to mind.

A beauty capable of toppling kingdoms.

On the other hand, Stella was alarmingly shocked, even though she knew her son would inherit her genes and be very handsome in the future. After all, many people don't call her one of the most beautiful women in the world for nothing.

But she knew this was something that would only become apparent as he grew. A glimpse of his beauty would barely be reflected when he was a baby. Although he was very cute and tender, what surprised her were her son's eyes.

The irises of his eyes looked like a starry night. They were the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

Seeing her like this, Amelia and the maid Maria grew worried and approached to see the baby, but they were equally astonished and amazed by what they saw.

Maria hadn't noticed the baby's eyes, since when she opened them, her spell covered the child's face. But at this moment, she was stupefied that she hadn't noticed.

Unable to open her mouth for a while, Amelia made a new one and said with a charming, somewhat mocking smile.

"Looks like with those eyes alone, we'll have a heartthrob in the family."

"Of course, did you expect anything less? He's my son," Stella replied with a proud, but also a little embarrassed, smile.

Then they noticed his eyes changing, no longer fully reflecting what they had seen before, but still looking wonderful. If before it was like seeing a starry night, now it's more like seeing Stella's own eyes, with the addition of a few hints of purple.

Like his mother, Astra's eyes convey a sense of calm to those who look at them.

The women in the room thought it was due to some kind of magical power and must have been unconsciously activated by the baby.

"So, what will his name be?"

Amelia asked.

"William and I decided to name him Astra if it's a boy, then he'll be Astra, Astra Stardust."

Stella said as she looked at her son with a smile and eyes brimming with maternal love.

Although he didn't yet understand the language, he recognized the name: Astra. The same as in her previous life. Only the surname had changed; before, his family had used "Star."

Upon learning his new name, he unconsciously smiled, which ended in a small baby laugh, thus attracting the women in the room.

"Good name, he seems to like his name. I think it suits him too."

Meanwhile, the maid Maria went to open the door of the room, which had been closed again after Astra's birth.

"Master William, you may come in now. Your child was born healthy and without complications."

"Already?"

A deep voice asked, a hint of nervousness and impatience audible.

"Hmm? How strange… Why isn't there a vision? Doesn't he have a special physique?"

He continued in a low voice that only he could hear.

Without waiting long, he entered the room and saw the baby in Stella's arms.
