Rico looked at the device he pulled from the alien as he tossed the alien through a window and into a building hard enough to knock them out. He then turned to other living occupants of the vehicle as they picked up one of the laser spears and he watched as it fired at Rico.
Ching! Ching!
It fired twice and he could see the alien's grin turn to one of horror as nothing happened. It hit Rico but did not even break the skin. His durability in this form was on another level. Barring a missile he doubted he could get hurt that badly.
Rico grabbed the laser spear and then punted the alien into the air. It screamed as it flew and Rico could tell that his actions alone managed to catch the aliens attention as he could suddenly see a floating jeep filled with these aliens coming toward him.
It was floating over houses so he knew it would definitely catch attention. He figured a shoot out in town might not have bothered Queen Bee. But this, they would definitely wake her up. But as he stood there the jeep stopped on the other side of him and he could tell some sort of door opened up as the occupants began jumping out.
Remembering where the other 'jeep' had some sort of thruster, he picked up a laser spear and fired it a few times. Getting lucky on the third shot as the vehicle veered off and crashed into a building.
Rico tossed aside the laser spear and ran toward the aliens who began doing something to their spears upon realizing that it was barely even ruffling his fur. He punched downward onto one of them and the upper half of his body exploded in a bloody mess. Covering the surrounding area and Rico in green blood.
The other disguised aliens began screaming in a foreign language as Rico punched and kicked them. But as he was doing so he felt a sense of danger and jumped to the side as an armored alien landed with its arm shaped like some kind of jagged sword. It was in black armor and it made a growling noise combined with clicking as it looked over at Rico.
"Be good meat and just die." It spoke in broken English. Causing Rico to raise an eyebrow as he got in a fighting stance. It looked like that young new hero legacy, Blue Beetle. But this one was black and gray. Not to mention they were far bigger and almost the same height as Rico when he was in this were-transformation.
"Hmm… should I cook you barbeque style or deep fry you? Which do you think would taste better?" Rico asked in turn as he licked his lips.
The Black Beetle turned its other hand into some type of blaster and fired at him. Rico endured it but flinched in pain. It did not break his skin but it still hurt like hell. Especially since being hit by that forced him back a few feet leaving a trail in the sand on the ground.
"He may be a durable specimen. But he is troublesome. You should just permit me to kill him." Black Beetle spoke, clearly more so Rico could over hear him. He probably wanted to provoke Rico or make a situation where he got what he wanted.
Rico crouched as he readied his legs. Then he launched himself forward. The Black Beetle fired again but Rico tilted slightly and the heavy laser fire moved past him and hit a building turning it into melted rubble.
Black Beetle swung his sword arm and Rico, having already dodged the first strike from the laser cannon, had to punch the sword arm with his knuckle duster. Sand was thrown up into the air as the Black Beetle and Rico were both forced back slightly. Then as Rico was skidding back he launched himself forward with one foot.
Black Beetle did not even touch the ground as a rocket formed on his back and launched himself forward. Rico met the attack with a punch to the sword again while he kicked away the laser cannon and used his other fist to punch Black Beetle in the head.
Crack!
The helmet covering his head seemed to crack as Black Beetle was forced back a few feet. He recovered after a moment and the crack disappeared. But Rico could tell he had gotten the aliens attention, because he could see through its eyes the desire for battle.
"I will break you, meat." Black Beetle said as his sword arm and laser cannon both turned into hammers. "But like you, I will only use my fists. Although you are using some type of weapons I will just make mine like a battle hammer." He explained as Rico grinned and hopped up and down slightly like he was bouncing.
"I want to tear open that tin can that you call armor. Come alien! Let's fight!" Rico declared as he tensed up his legs.
"Call me Black Beetle… meat." Black Beetle growled out. Confirming Rico's suspicions about who these aliens were.
"Then you may call me Honey Badger… alien." Rico snarled back before launching himself forward.
His right fist met Black Beetle's right fist and a shockwave threw everything in the surroundings except them away. Under them the street cracked and the ground shook. Rico's arm endured externally but he flinched in pain as he felt several bones break. The armor surrounding Black Beetle's arm and fist shattered revealing the bluish green skin underneath.
He pulled back his arm in a hurry and Rico stepped back as he felt heat move through his arm and by the time he raised it again. It had already been healed. Black Beetle held up his own arm as the armor reformed around it. Then they ran at each other again and punched with the same fist.
This time as his fist met Black Beetle's the armor formed over the front part of Rico's arm. Rico growled as his arm was locked in place. "Time to die, meat." His left arm then turned into a jagged sword and he stabbed toward Rico's midsection.
