Chapter 5 - A captivated glimpse

Kim So-Min sat in his luxurious office, staring at the photo of Kanak Thakur that his grandmother had given him. He had been expecting a plain, ordinary-looking woman, but the person in the photo took his breath away.

Kanak's dark hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and her bright brown eyes sparkled with warmth and kindness. Her smile was radiant, illuminating her entire face and making her look like a goddess.

Kim So-Min felt mesmerized, unable to tear his gaze away from the photo. He had never seen anyone like Kanak before. There was something about her that drew him in, something that made him want to know more about her.

For a few moments, he forgot about his reluctance to marry Kanak. He forgot about his concerns and his reservations. All he could think about was the captivating woman in the photo, and how much he wanted to meet her in person.

As he gazed at the photo, Kim So-Min felt a strange sense of connection to Kanak. It was as if he had known her before, although he knew that was impossible.

He couldn't explain the feeling, but it was there, lingering in the back of his mind like a whispered promise. And as he looked at Kanak's photo, he knew that he had to meet her, no matter what.

Just as Kim So-Min was getting lost in Kanak's photo, his friend and manager, Tae-Hyun, burst into the office, a mischievous grin on his face.

"What's going on, So-Min?" Tae-Hyun asked, plopping down in the chair across from Kim So-Min's desk. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Kim So-Min quickly hid the photo, trying to compose himself. "I was just... uh... thinking about a new project," he stammered.

Tae-Hyun raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. "Save it, So-Min," he said, chuckling. "I know that look. You're smitten."

Kim So-Min's face turned bright red as he realized he had been caught. "Shut up, Tae-Hyun," he muttered, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Tae-Hyun just laughed, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "Okay, okay, I won't tease you... yet. But seriously, So-Min, what's going on? You're not exactly known for being the romantic type."

Kim So-Min sighed, rubbing his temples. "It's just... my grandmother wants me to marry this woman, Kanak Thakur. She's got the same rare blood type as me, and Halmoni thinks it's a perfect match."

Tae-Hyun's eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa, that's heavy. But I have to ask... what's she like? Is she hot?"

Kim So-Min rolled his eyes, laughing despite himself. "Tae-Hyun, focus. This is serious."

But Tae-Hyun just grinned, undeterred. "I'm focused, I'm focused. So, is she hot or what?"

Kim So-Min couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head. "Yes, she's... very pretty. But that's not the point."

Tae-Hyun leaned forward, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, I think it's totally the point. You're not exactly known for your dating life, So-Min. Maybe this is just what you need... a little romance and a lifetime supply of compatible blood."

Kim So-Min threw a pen at Tae-Hyun, laughing. "Shut up and get out of here."
