Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prologue

(Miles' POV)

You might be wondering—who am I?

Uhh… well, I guess I'm just your average guy.

Name's Miles. Twenty-six. Currently studying medicine at SSMU.

My life? Pretty boring so far.

Wake up. Study. Sleep. Occasionally laugh at memes and complain about exams. That's about it.

But if you're reading this... something must've changed.

Because right now, it feels like my life is about to flip upside down.

And the craziest part?

I think I'm going to enjoy every second of it.

---

Because today, out of nowhere, I got a system.

Yup. Just like those webnovel protagonists. A real, sentient, talking system.

But this one's... different.

It claims to be from a Type IV Civilization.

---

(Author's Note: A Type IV civilization, according to the Kardashev Scale, is a race so advanced they've mastered their entire universe—manipulating dark energy, controlling spacetime, possibly even existing across multiple dimensions. Think teleportation, time travel, matter-energy conversion, and some god-tier science we can't even begin to comprehend. If you're curious, Google it.)

---

Anyway, here's the story as the system explained it:

At some point, this civilization got bored—or competitive, I guess—and decided to hold a universal contest. The challenge?

"Who can develop a primitive, Type 0 civilization into something greater the fastest?"

Each of the ten participants picked a random universe.

Each one sent a system to guide and help an individual from that universe.

And somehow… I ended up being the chosen one for this world.

Why me?

No clue.

I'm not a genius. I don't have any tragic backstory.

I've got a normal, loving family—parents and a cheeky little sister I'd do anything for.

So yeah, I have no idea what made me special.

And to be honest... I'm not entirely convinced the system is telling me the full truth either.

There's something it's hiding. I can feel it.

But right now? I don't care.

I've been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

With this system, I could build an empire.

Create technology far ahead of its time.

Make money, change the world… or even worlds.

---

My name is Miles.

I'm just a regular guy.

But not for long.

Because from this point on...

I have the power of a Type IV civilization in my hands.

And I plan to use every bit of it.
