"Do you want me to leave the air conditioner on?" Meredith asked Aveline.
"Am I sweating a lot?" She responded, as she pulled the mirror up top to look at her reflection.
"No, it's fine. I think they'll be done soon. I'm sorry."
"For?" Aveline relaxed into the seat.
"I know you would have loved to join the Sinclairs in paying respects to Nadia. It's unfortunate Atlas insisted he didn't want you there."
Aveline took a deep breath. "It's fine really. I'll just wait for them to be done, then we can go in."
"You do understand he's going through a very serious grieving process, right? Please be kind to him in your thoughts. No matter how far he pushes you."
Aveline nodded. "I'll do that."
Flashes from the media's camera began to go off, and Aveline's attention was drawn forward.
From their car parked in the corner of the street, she saw Atlas walk out of Careway.
"Mr Atlas, do you have something to say about this terrible situation?"
