Once Chuck climbed his way to the roof and crawled toward the tip, he focused on finding proper balance until he was comfortable. From this vantage point, his view of the city expanded exponentially. He adjusted the scope once, then swapped the magazine, loading bullets suited for longer distances.
Satisfied with the new setup, he closed one eye and peered through the scope with the other. He didn't shoot anyone yet. Instead, he studied the farthest areas of the city, gauging the situation and carefully assessing the wind's direction.
Aside from the fighting, he noticed a group making their way out of the city. Based on what he could see, they were refugees trying to escape the battlefield. He also spotted Pika running around below, and Chuck instinctively provided cover. After all, Pika had no idea he was about to turn into an area where enemies were hiding.
Izu and Tyga also appeared in his scope, but Chuck didn't bother focusing on them. They were holding their own just fine.
