Lola shook her head, chuckling to herself as she walked back toward the family wing.
Comforting someone was not really her forte. She couldn't even comfort herself, let alone others. So how could she comfort Izu?
Still, she understood his frustrations after piecing together bits of what Haji said.
Whether one admits it or not, being recognized for their efforts — even when they claim they don't do it for recognition — was a fuel that kept them going. Even just a little bit of recognition, and not praise.
Lola was like that too, sometimes.
"At times, though… I wish my husband were a little more expressive to others," she murmured, enjoying the cold wind blowing through the open corridor connecting both wings. "At least Izu would know this… there's a reason my husband chose them to protect his treasures."
That, or Izu needed to understand Atlas more than the structure of the Order.
