We are getting a few flashbacks in this chapter. >:3

*Miwa's apartment.*
Miwa went and placed an ice pack against her left eye, wincing in pain. "And I thought Wukong's training was tough, Mac is way more aggressive, yet he said he was going easy on me. Bullshit."
*Flashback.*
"Come on, Starlight. You need to put more focus on where you are hitting, and keep your body in the right position." said Macaque, swinging his staff at Miwa, causing her to block it with her own and trying to direct it to her left.
Macaque already saw what she was trying to do, and so counted it by changing the rotation of his staff. Having it come right back at her.
Miwa panicked when he countered and came right back at her, and before she knew it she got hit in the left eye with her own staff.
*End of flashback.*
Miwa looked up at the clock and saw the time. "Shit! I'm gonna be late!" She dropped the ice pack and grabbed her keys, before then opening a window and just jumped straight out. Skating her way through the air towards Pigsy's Noodles.
She skated at full speed until she arrived at Pigsy's Noodles, taking a deep breath before opening the door and walked inside. "I'm so sorry for being late, I didn't mean to. I pulled an all nighter work-wait where is everyone?"
Miwa was surprised to see no one was there, not even the kitchen was on like it would be at this time.
"Mimi!" Mk shouted rushing out from the back. "Have you seen-What happened to your eye?!"
Miwa raised an eyebrow at him pointing at her black eye. "Had an accident last night, anyway where is Pigsy?"
"That's just it! I don't know, he didn't even open the shop!" Mk had grabbed her shoulders and started shaking her in a panic.
"Mk! Mk! MK!! Stop shaking me and calm the fuck down!" Miwa shouted in annoyance, letting out a heavy sigh when he stopped shaking her. "For now let's go and find the others and tell them."
"Right, right we should probably do that." Mk grabbed her hand and dragged her along.
"Waah-Mk!" Miwa was taken by surprise when he pulled out his staff and launched them straight towards Sea-Crate HQ.
She had to grab onto Mk, as to not fall off. Blushing ever so slightly by how close they were.
*At the Sea-Crate HQ, Mei is playing Monkey Mech.*
"Hey, you think it's weird that we don't spend much time in the Sea-Crate Base? Like, we haven't been down here for weeks." said Sandy, watching Mei playing.
"Yeah, and if you think about it, do we even need to be down here right now?" Mei questioned, focusing on playing Monkey Mech.
Just then Miwa and Mk rushed inside with worried looks on their faces, though Mk looked more panicked than Miwa. "Guys! Pigsy's missing!"
"Missing? What do you mean he's missing?" Mei looked over at the two, confused on what they meant. "And what happened to your eye, Mimi?"
"We mean, he didn't open the shop this morning." Miwa explained in a more calm manner, but still very worried. She looked over at Mei, rolling her eyes. "An accident."
"But he's never not open his store before!" said Sandy, finally catching on what was wrong.
"He's been pig-napped!" Mk gasped in a panic.
"...Seriously? Pig-napped?" Miwa raised an eyebrow at Mk.
"I immediately fear the worst!" said Sandy, just as worried and panicked like Mk.
Mei runs to the computer and shows a recording of Pigsy.
"Hey, that's Pigsy. Oh phew, he's just went shopping." said Mk, feeling relieved in knowing this.
Miwa narrowed her eyes while watching the recording. "Something doesn't seem right."
"Who's filming this?" Sandy wondered.
"It's Tang! Oh, I realized now, Tang is also missing. What is this?" said Mk, completely forgetting about him.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about him." said Miwa in a nonchalant tone.
"I attached cameras to all of you guys a while back. Not so creepy now, is it?" said Mei with a proud smile.
"What?!" Miwa quickly looked around on herself, until she found one behind her ear. Not thinking twice about it she crushed it. "Hopefully they don't find any recording of me training with Macaque, let alone when I went out stealing stuff."
"It's a little creepy." said Mk.
"I have to agree with Mk, that is creepy." said Miwa, crossing her arms in annoyance but turned her attention back to the recordings.
"Aw, she seems nice. Maybe they're fine." He, Mk, Miwa, and Mei see the rest of the video. "Oh, no! I was wrong. This is very, very, very bad!"
"I knew something felt wrong." said Miwa.
"Scary nightmare hole! What happened?" Mk questioned in confusion and fear.
"It looks like..." Mei rewinds the video to see the woman. "Is that..."
"Enhanced! Enhanced!" shouted Sandy pointing at the video.
Mei zooms in on the video, revealing that the woman is the Spider Queen.
"The Spider Queen?" Miwa answered slightly surprised before getting a headache.
"Uh, Spider Demon?! Come on. No. Ew, yuck, I hate spiders. Hate, hate, hate! With their eyes, and feet, and furry butts!" said Mk in a panic and feeling creeped out seeing this.
"Miwa, how do you know who that is?" Mei looked over at Miwa a little confused.
"....I-I don't actually know." said Miwa, just as confused, but also worried about how she knew.
"Okay, a Spider Demon's got our friends. You know what that means?" said Sandy slightly more positively.
Mei looked over at him. "It's time for..."
"Operation: Rescue Tang and Pigsy from the Nightmare Hole." The team, except Miwa declared.
*Mei, Miwa, Mk, Sandy, and Mo prepare themselves for the rescue mission. They went to Sandy's Speedboat and left the base.*
"Where to?" Sandy asked.
Mei draws out her phone, but she nearly drops it. Miwa catches the phone and gives it back to her. "Across town!"
*At Megapolis, the citizens see Mk, Miwa, Mei, and Sandy on the speedboat.*
"Woo-hoo! Rescue mission!" Mei and Mk shouted, while Miwa rolled her eyes with a slight smile.
*Mk, Mei, Miwa, and Sandy headed towards the market with the speedboat.*
Mei points at Spider Queen's store. Dead ahead!"
"Rescue mission!" Mk and Mei shouted as they enter the tunnel.
Miwa screamed as they went down the tunnel until they crashed into the ground.
"Maybe you should've saved your boat for an adventure with more water." said Mei as Mk got out of the speedboat.
"Yeah, I, uh, just got excited." said Sandy.
"No water." said Miwa getting out of the speedboat, looking around at where they were until she heard Mk screaming.
"Spider Demon!" Mk screamed when a spider got in his hair.
The baby spider in Mk's hair laughs. Miwa rolls her eyes and blows the spider off of Mk.
"Mk, it's just a little baby spider. Come on, let's go find Piggy." said Mei and started looking around.
"And Tang." said Sandy and Miwa in unison.
"Ok, I'll use my super sight of truth to find our friends in this palace of nightmares." Mk uses his Golden Eyes of Truth.
"Do you see anything, Mk?" Miwa asked.
Mk looked around until his eyes landed on Miwa, they widened in shock at what he was seeing. "Mimi, you...you....you're a-"
"I'm what?" Miwa tilted her head to the side.
"What do you see, Mk?" Sandy asked, snapping Mk's focus back to looking around.
Mk looks around until he sees some spiders. "Ew! Ew! This place is full of webs and horror! We're never gonna get though all this!"
Mei and Miwa put their hands on Mk's shoulders. "Ahem, if you'll allow us." Mei grabs her sword, and Miwa pulls out her staff, and both of them blasts a hole in a wall to let the others get through.
"Ladies first." Miwa moved out of the way for Mk and Sandy.
"Pigsy! Tangy!" shouted Sandy when he saw Pigsy and Tang trapped in spider web.
Mei, Sandy, and Mo run over and starts taking away the webs.
"Mk! Miwa!" shouted Mei when looking over at them and saw something, throwing her sword and threw it at them.
Miwa narrowed her eyes and dodged out of the way, holding up her staff and pointed it up at the Spider Queen. "Spider Princess, haven't changed a bit."
Mk turned around and started shaking in pure fear seeing the Spider Queen.
"Don't tell me you're scared of spiders?" Spider Queen taunted Mk, before turning her attention to Miwa, narrowed her eyes at her with an offended look. "How dare you?! Who are you to dare call me that!"
Pigsy spits out the spider web from his mouth. "Kids, run!" Mk grabs Miwa's arm and starts running while the Spider Queen chases them. Pigsy sees the Dragon Blade on the ground "I'm sorry, Tang. I got us into this mess. We're gonna need to work together to get out of it."
"Mm-hm." Tang and Pigsy swing themselves off the web and land on the Dragon Blade, cutting the cocoon and freeing themselves.
"Operation: Save Mk and Miwa From the Nightmare Hole." shouted the team.
*With Mk and Miwa.*
Mk hears the Spider Queen's laughter throughout the cave. "Huh?"
Miwa was holding her staff ready, looking around for wherever Spider Queen might be.
"And you're the kid the old Monkey King chose?" Spider Queen laughs. "But I don't know who your friend here is."
"I'm Luna Kid, and you better watch it when I kick your ass back to wherever you came from, Princess." Miwa had her staff be surrounded in cosmic energy.
"Hey! I'm a Monkie Man!" Mk declared.
Miwa facepalmed looking at him. "No, just no, Mk."
The Spider Queen lunges towards them. Miwa is able to dodge her but not Mk, as he gets pinned against a spider's web. The Golden Staff falls to the ground. Mk begins to hyperventilate.
"Do you wanna know what you are? You're my ticket back to the throne. All that power the Monkey King give you. After I made my dinner, it's all gonna be my power." said Spider Queen, laughing out loud.
"Forgetting something!" Miwa had grabbed the Golden Staff and swung it at the Spider Queen, catching her by surprise.
"How can you wield the staff?!" said Spider Queen in disbelief as she dodged the staff.
"I don't know, maybe I'm just lucky." said Miwa with a smirk, resting the staff over her shoulders. "Now, how about we have a dance, Princess."
"Oh you're on, brat!" Spider Queen tried lunging at Miwa, but she easily dodged her and swung the staff right back at the Spider Queen. Making it increase its size as she got smashed into a wall.
"Ouch, that's gonna hurt." Miwa had the staff return to its normal size, she took a look at it with a raised eyebrow.
*Flashback.*
"Look what you did, you made her cry you idiot." said a black blurry person.
"I didn't mean to, it was an accident!" said a golden blurry person, who turned their head to someone and got down to their level. "Hey, hey! Look at me doing a magic trick!"
The crying person looked up at the golden person, sniffling with tears at the corner of her eyes.
The golden person raised their hand to their ear, and then out of nowhere came a golden staff. "See, magic trick!" The person had a big bright smile on their face.
The once crying person was now laughing out loud with big eyes sparkling in excitement and clapping their hands.
"Looks like that worked." said the black person, a slight smile growing on their face.
"I told you, I knew what I was doing." said the golden person smiling.
The little person slowly crawled over and grabbed a hold of the staff, and much to the two blurry peoples' surprise she was able to wield it and swing it around randomly.
"Little shadow! You're gonna hurt yourself!"
"Sunshine! Put it down!"
*End of flashback.*
"Wha-what was that?" Miwa rubbed her head, feeling a strong headache along with her left arm shaking in pain, from holding the staff for much longer.
"Miwa! Watch out!" shouted Mk out loud in a panic, but Miwa wasn't able to react in time.
The Spider Queen had taken the chance when Miwa was lost in her thoughts, and lunged right at her. Knocked Miwa into a spider web right next to Mk while dropping the staff.
"This was fun, but time to end this. I can't wait to eat you and the rest of your friends." Spider Queen laughs walking towards them.
"Hey, you, bug lady!" shouted Pigsy, gaining her attention.
"Here comes Monkie Kid and Luna Kid's...friend's!" Tang announced, standing together with the rest.
"That's right! We got a catchphrase too!" said Pigsy with a confident smile.
"You and your friends are terrible guests." said Spider Queen, offended.
"You were gonna eat my best friends! And also these guys! Well, now you're gonna eat this!" Mei presses one of the speedboat's buttons, which activates a laser. "Mo, fire!" Mo uses the laser to distract the Spider Queen long enough for Mk and Miwa to escape. "Mk, Miwa, it's time to go!"
"Got it!" Miwa picked up her staff, wincing slightly from using her left arm out of old habit.
"Right!" Mk struggles to get the Golden Staff off of the ground. The Spider Queen comes back and begins to attack Mk with her mech.
"Urgh, get off me!" shouted Mk, trying to get her off.
"Get off him! Princess!" Miwa changed into a red and white bear, charging right at the Spider Queen and her mech.
The ground starts to crumble, causing Mk's team and the Spider Queen to fall. The Spider Queen catches herself by using her mech. Mk, Mei, Miwa, Pigsy, and Tang scream as they continue to fall. Until Sandy notices a stream.
"Water adventure? It's a water adventure! Mk, Miwa, come on!" shouted Sandy in excitement.
"No! No water adventure!" shouted Miwa in pure terror, seeing the water was bringing back long forgotten, bad memories.
*Flashback.*
"Wait! No, don't! She is only a child! She has nothing to do with this!"
"Sunny, get out of here! Go back inside the cave!"
"Not so fast, simian."
"She's just a child! ____!"
"I didn't think you'd go so far to kill a child, who hasn't even done anything wrong."
"You simians are nothing but trouble, and I'm not gonna stand by to see another one of your kind."
"Maybe ______ was right, about a baby monkey having powers is not a good idea."
"Enough!"
"Starlight!"
"Sunny!"
*End of flashback.*
Miwa was so lost in her memories that she didn't notice when they all got on the speedboat, and they head towards a sewage pipe and reached the ocean.
Everyone but Miwa and Sandy groans after everything they had just been through.
"Operation: Rescue Tang and Pigsy, success." said Sandy smiling at the group.
"At least we don't have to deal with her again." Mei laughs. "Right?"
*With the Spider Queen.*
Spider Queen chuckles. "They think they've won?" She puts the strand of hair she took from Mk and Miwa into the cauldron, which begins to glow gold and red. She laughs. "The game is just beginning."
*Back with the team.*
"Miwa, you okay?" Mk were the first to notice how quiet she had been after getting out of that place.
Everyone turned to look over at Miwa, and were shocked to see the panicked state she was in.
Miwa was holding her head, hyperventilating as her eyes was looking everywhere around her. Like she was searching for something while mumbling the word water in fear.
"Mimi?" Mei walked over to her, slowly reaching out a hand but the moment she touched her shoulder. Miwa panicked by pushing her away with a scream. "NO!"
Everyone was taken aback by this, they had never seen her in this state before. They knew she was scared of water and had seen her panic a few times when near it, but never like this.
Miwa was so lost from her fear of water, mixed with those random memories that she didn't even notice when she changed into a bird and flew away from the team shouting for her.
She didn't even know where she was going, the only thing she did know was that she needed to get somewhere safe.
*At the Flower Fruit Mountain.*
The sound of something crashing in a forest could be heard, catching Wukong's attention as he left his cave to check it out.
The monkeys were in a panic and rushed to Wukong, telling him what happened and what they saw. Causing him to worry and rush to see it for himself.
When Wukong arrived at the spot he was surprised it was the same place he and Macaque found Miwa, when she was just a little baby. But this time sitting in a crater all curled up, and shaken up was an older Miwa.
"Sunny, what's wrong?" Wukong slowly walked over and got down to her level, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.
Miwa jerked his hand away before looking up at him in fear and tears running down her face. But what more surprised him, was seeing her form switching back and forth from her human form to her monkey form.
"I-I...I don't know what to do....what is going on.....voices, memories. I don't know anything!" Miwa cried out looking up at him not knowing what to do.
"Hey, hey, it's gonna be alright." Wukong summoned his cloud and picked Miwa up as he got on it. "Everything is gonna be fine, Sunshine."
With that they headed back towards Wukong's home.
