*At Pigsy's Noodles.*
"Miwa! Where are the noodles, we have customers waiting here!" shouted Pigsy from the front, where there was a line of customers.
"It will be there in a minute boss!" shouted Miwa from the kitchen in the back, busy making each order but were having a bit of trouble.
The sound of a bowl getting dropped and breaking could be heard in the back along with Miwa shouting in annoyance.
"AAaah! Come on! This has been going on for three days straight already!" Miwa shouted in a high pitched voice, standing in the kitchen, but instead of a human. She had turned herself into a red ant with white freckles.
"Miwa! What happened?!" Pigsy came into the kitchen, about to step on her.
"Pigsy watch out!" Miwa shouted only to shapeshift into a Pigsy, though still had her white freckles.
"Wha-Miwa?!" Pigsy shouted, taken by surprise to see her having turned into him.
"Hey, Pigsy, I'm heading over to Mon-Why are there two of you?" Mk had popped his head into the kitchen, only to then see two Pigsys standing there.
"What do you mean there are two of-WHAT THE FUCK?!" Miwa was shocked to see, she had turned into Pigsy. The only way to know who was who. Were that she still had her freckles that never went away, no matter what form or shape she took.
"Miwa?!" Mk were just as shocked to see that it was her.
"Enough! Mk, you are staying here and taking over Miwa's work for today, and Miwa needs to figure out a way to control her powers. I can't have her messing up the orders for another day." said Pigsy frustrated.
"But I have training with the Monkey King, I can't skip any of the cool stuff he is gonna teach me." Mk pleaded.
"What do you mean by messing up orders? I've been doing my orders for three days without trouble." Miwa crossed her arms, scowling while still in Pigsy's form.
Pigsy's right eye started twitching in annoyance. "You're gonna have to sit out on your training today Mk." He turned to look over at Miwa, not amused to look at another him. "For three days you've been messing up the orders, each time you lose control of your shapeshifting powers. You mix the orders up, and I've been getting a lot of complaints. And no, most of them haven't been Karens."
"Why not ask Monkey King for help? He shouldn't have any trouble teaching Miwa how to control her powers, besides isn't he also her mentor?" Tang suggested, having heard the chaos in the kitchen and decided to see what was going on.
"That sounds like a great idea! Monkey King has been wondering why Miwa hasn't been to his training, for these three days." said Mk, finding it a little weird that she hadn't been to any training along with him for these days.
"Guys, I'll figure this out. Don't worry about it." Miwa sighs as she turned back to normal. "I've just been busy with other stuff, so I haven't had time for any of Wukong's training."
"You better figure this out Miwa, we can't have this affecting our business." said Pigsy, sighing frustrated.
"Sooo, do I still have more work today or are you letting me leave early?" Miwa questioned, a little unsure about it.
"I'm letting you off early today, but tomorrow I don't want anymore trouble." Pigsy turned his attention over to Mk. "What are you standing around for! Get to work!"
Mk quickly rushed to the front before Pigsy decides to throw a spoon at him.
"Sorry Mk, I promise to make this up to you." said Miwa walking out of the kitchen, feeling bad that he had to do the rest of her work.
"It's fine Mimi, I'll talk with Monkey King later and maybe he can help you, when you have time." said Mk smiling, wanting to help her.
"You don't have to talk with Wukong about it, I'll let him know myself. When I find the time or things get worse. Anyway, see you tomorrow." Miwa waved while leaving the shop.
Miwa let out a sigh after leaving the shop and looked up at the clouds. "What am I gonna do? I can't go to Wukong after what I called him three days ago." She saw a can on the ground and gave it a kick. "I mean, "dada," where did that even come from? It felt right calling him that, and yet also not."
Miwa walked down the streets, her hands in her pockets and started humming a soft tune. Not taking notice of the people she walked by falling asleep on the spot, from what they had been doing.
She tried figuring out how to get control of her shapeshifting powers, without having to ask Wukong for help. After walking around for a while, an idea came to mind that she hadn't thought about until now.
"How could I forget that, I should have thought of that person from the start." A smile grew on Miwa's face as she started picking up the pace, and skated through the air at full speed towards her destination.
Miwa looked around for the place from the sky, trying to remember where it was. Since the last time she was there was by chance, but this time she was searching for it. "There!"
Miwa got back on the ground when she found the building, and was happy to see that it was open. She bought herself a ticket, going inside and down the hall until she opened a door and got to the room. Already seeing a few people gathered, though not as many as last time.
She found herself an empty seat and sat down, smiling as she waited for the show to start.
It wasn't long until the show started, Miwa smiled when she saw Macaque on the stage in his human form and began his shadow play.
While waiting for the right time to talk with Macaque without anyone else around, Miwa just enjoyed the show. With a soft smile and excitement for what happened next in the story he was telling.
When Macaque finished up the show, Miwa waited until everyone had left before getting up and walking over to the end of the stage. "Hey Macaque!"
Macaque chuckled seeing Miwa coming over. "Well, hello again, little star. What brings you to my show this time?"
"What? Can't a person just come and watch a show without any other reason?" Miwa questioned, still smiling at him.
"Heh, not when it's you, Freckles." Macaque crossed his arms, giving a slight smirk. "So what's the real reason?"
"Again with the freckles, what is it with these monkeys?" Miwa found it a little weird, but didn't mind it. "Well, I wanted to ask if you could help me learn how to control my shapeshifting powers."
Macaque raised a questionable eyebrow, curious after hearing this. "So that's why you came to me, but I thought the oh, so great Monkey King was your Master? Last time I checked, Freckles."
"Well he is but....things are a little awkward between us at the moment. So I can't really ask him for help, but you can never have too many teachers, right? Besides, what Wukong doesn't know can't hurt him." Miwa gave him a sheepish smile, a little nervous about whether he would help her or not.
Macaque chuckled, listening to her reasoning for him to become her second mentor. But he could also see it as a good way to bond and grow close again, like when she was still a little baby. And maybe he could also have her turn against Wukong. "Alright, Starlight. We'll start tomorrow early in the morning."
A big smile grew on Miwa's face and just like last time, she pulled him into a hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Than-" But after a good moment his words clicked in her head, causing her to break the hug. "Ummm, actually I have work tomorrow in the morning, and even if I didn't, where would you even be teaching me?"
Macaque was surprised by the hug, but didn't mind it when it came from her. A smile grew on his face by how happy she seemed, at least until she pulled away and had a puzzled look on her face.
"Then we'll start when you finish work, wouldn't want that getting in your way of training. As for where I'll be teaching you, don't worry about that. I'll take you there myself." Macaque ruffled her hair, still smiling at her.
Miwa batted his hand away from her hair, while trying not to give a smile. "How would you do that? I thought your whole stick was not letting others know you were around?"
Macaque raised an eyebrow at her questions, and a smirk grew on his face. "Did you already forget, Starlight?" His shadow stretched towards Miwa, and before she knew it. She fell through it only to come out another shadow and landed in a seat.
Miwa let out a surprised shout when she fell through the shadows, and ended up in a random seat in the room. "Right, shadows, I forgot about that."
Macaque appeared next to Miwa, causing her to fall out of her seat from being taken by surprise. He couldn't help but let out a laugh by the priceless look she was giving him.
"You son of a bitch, never do that again. Are you trying to give me a heart attack." Miwa glared at him in annoyance.
"Relax little shadow, no need to get all moody because of a little fun." Macaque teased, looking at her with a smirk.
Miwa started feeling a headache, rubbing her head ever so slightly. "I feel like I've heard someone say this to me before, but where and who?" She shook her head, snapping out of it. Looking at Macaque, still a little annoyed. "Haha, so funny. Anyway if we are done here, I'm just gonna leave since I have other plans."
"See you tomorrow then, Freckles." said Macaque, still carrying a big smirk on his face.
Miwa rolled her eyes at him, a slight smile growing on her face. "See ya, Mac." She walked out of the room, happy that he would teach her how to use her powers.
Macaque watched her leave until she was gone and the smirk on his face slowly disappeared. "A wish that can't return from which it came from, nor be fulfilled, is a lost wish. Left to die or become unstable. Unless it can return to the original wish, it was meant to grant from the start." A concerned but also confused look grew on his face. "Why did she not return to where she came from?"
*With Miwa.*
Miwa was walking down the street, with a smile on her face while humming to herself. "I still can't believe that he said yes, I really thought he would say no to it."
Miwa looked up at the sky, noticing a few raindrops were coming down.
*Flashback.*
"Every living being has a place in this world, no matter how cruel their deed might be." said a person in a calm manner.
"How can you say that! After everything they have done! I tried warning them but they chose to ignore my warning! With everything they have done, they should just die!" shouted another person in pure rage.
"What good would killing do? It would just bring pain and suffering, no matter who's side you are on." said the calmer of the two, standing outside and watching the rain.
"You were meant to help me! That's the reason I ______ for your help in the first place!" shouted the raging person.
"No, what you ______ for wasn't our help, if you did. All of this would never have come to this." The calmer person stepped closer to the other, a calm yet raging anger in their eyes. "And we are not beings that can be ordered around."
The raging person took a step back with a hint of fear from this being standing before them, but tried to not let it show. "I didn't mean any disrespect, great ______, but if you wouldn't help me. Then I'll do this myself."
"I see, but one final warning, ______, don't force another person to make a ______ for you. If there is something you really want from us, then make your own ______. We do not like to be used for a wimp, like a silly toy, so if you ever do this again. We will erase all of your memories about us." The calmer person walked out in the rain and soon enough fainted out of existence.
*End flashback.*
Miwa leaning against a wall, rubbing her head from a massive headache she was getting. "W-what the fuck was that? Who were those people?"
Miwa was shaking her head to try and forget about it. "I think I'm in need of some serious tea from Sandy." She began skating in the air and headed at full speed towards Sandy's boat, hoping he had some tea that could help and because she had a therapy appointment with him.
*The next day, after work.*
"Finally, I thought it would never end." Miwa let out a sigh of relief, though still found the day hard with her shapeshifting powers being hard to control.
"Yeah same here, I thought for a moment Redson had showed up to ruin the place, only to figure out it was you. Though you still had the same temper as him." Mk pointed out with a slight smile.
Miwa glared over at him, a cosmic aura slowly appearing around her. "I do not have the same temper as him! My temper is completely normal! And nothing like him!"
Sweat drops slowly run down Mk's face from the raging anger coming from Miwa. "Mei is right, she really is like a Redson 2.0, though slightly more scary."
Miwa noticed the nervous look on Mk's face and she let out a sigh. Trying to calm herself down, there wasn't any reason to let out her anger on him. "Okay, I might have a bit of a temper. But it's nothing like that guy."
Mk nodded but still wasn't completely sure about that. "Anyway, since we are done with work. Wanna hang out over at the arcade? I can ask Mei if she wants to join."
A slight smile grew on Miwa's face at his offer to hang out. "I would love to hang out, but I already have plans for the day."
"Oh okay, what kind of plans?" Mk asked, wanting to know by the curious look on his face.
Miwa notices some movement in the shadows, before turning her attention back to Mk who was waiting for an answer. "I need to get a new headset after I lost my old one, and then I need to work on my bike. I haven't had time to work on it for a while."
"Oooh right! Your bike took some heavy damage from the last race you were in." Mk remembered how crazy the race was last year, how Miwa got out of it and won was still a mystery.
"Yeah, I finally got the materials to fix it up. So I might not have as much time to hang up these days." Miwa started walking the way that led her home. "See you tomorrow Mk!"
"You too Miwa!" Mk waved bye and went to call Mei to ask if she wanted to hang out instead.
Miwa waved back and kept walking until she was alone, and without a warning she fell through a shadow and ended up in a different place.
"Took you long enough, I was starting to wonder if you had changed your mind about getting my help, little star." Macaque was leaning to the side with his arms crossed.
"What the fuck, Mac! Don't just go and teleport me out of nowhere! Are you trying to give me a heart attack on purpose!" Miwa had a hand to her heart that was beating fast, while she was shouting angrily at him.
Macaque rolled his eyes, using his tail to gently push Miwa away. "Get used to it then, if you keep being late."
Miwa let out an annoyed sigh, taking in her new surroundings she could see that it was some old training room. She notices a few weapons on a rack along with a few other training equipment.
"So where is this place? By the looks of it this is some old rundown building." Miwa looked over at Macaque, only to quickly take a step back from a punch coming her way. "What the fuck?!"
"Quick reflexes, not bad Starlight." said Macaque with a smug face.
"You were meant to help with my shapeshifting powers, not with my fighting." Miwa crossed her arms in annoyance.
"If I'm to help with your shapeshifting, I need to know how you would react when being attacked." Macaque explained with a raised eyebrow. "When changing form, you have to focus on what it is you want to change into. Even in a fight you need to be fast on your feet with that."
"Couldn't you've just explained that, instead of trying to punch me on the spot?" Miwa questioned.
"Where's the fun in that? Besides, you'll learn faster in action, and it helps you to think on the go." Macaque got in position, his fist raised with a smirk on his face. "Let's see what you got, Freckles."
Miwa's eyes widened in surprise by how fast he was, she hardly had any time to dodge and when trying to change form. She was having trouble focusing on a form, causing her to change into a turtle by mistake.
Macaque used his tail to pick her up and threw her towards a wall, she screamed and in a panic changed form again, this time into a spider and without much time to think. She used her web to quickly stick to the closest thing she could get, saving her just in time from hitting the wall.
Though Miwa didn't have enough time to relax, Macaque was right above her with a foot coming down at her.
Miwa quickly changed back to normal, grabbing a random mop and used it to block his foot just in the nick of time.
"Not bad, I see that you are a fast learner." Macaque complemented, still wearing a smirk. "But you're still lacking a lot when it comes to fighting."
Miwa's eyes widened even more when she saw him summon his own staff from the shadows. "What the fuck?!" She quickly backstepped, still holding the mop as he was charging at her.
Macaque swung his staff at Miwa, knowing she would try to block it he used that distraction to have his tail grab her foot and throw her down on an old mat.
Miwa didn't see it coming when she got thrown on a mat, coughing from some of the dust coming from it. She tried getting up only to react without thinking, using the mop to block an attack from Macaque's staff. Causing it to break from the impact and by habit she used her left arm to shield herself, but the hit never came.
Miwa slowly lowered her arm to look up at him, shaking ever so slightly in fear of getting hurt.
Macaque took notice of the look on her face and the way she was shaking, along with how she was using her left arm to shield herself with. He lowered his staff and had it go back into the shadows.
"Hey, it's alright little star, I didn't mean to scare you." Macaque spoke in a soft voice like he did when she was little, he got down on one knee and held out a hand for her. "How about we end the training for today." He gave her a gentle smile.
Miwa, still shaking a little, nodded and slowly took his hand. Letting him pull her up from the mat, and only then she could feel how exhausted she was from the training.
Macaque noticed the exhausted look on her and gently picked her up. "I'll get you home, little one. You've been through enough today."
Miwa wanted to protest but didn't have the energy for it, so she simply nodded and let him take her home.
Macaque used the shadows and brought Miwa back to her apartment and placed her on the couch, he noticed a blanket to the side and grabbed it with his tail and put it over her. "I'll check up on you tomorrow, my little shadow. For now you get some rest." He patted her head with a soft smile on his face, watching her getting a little sleepy.
Miwa didn't know why but the way he spoke and treated her, felt familiar and safe like an old memory she had missed. "My little shadow....where have I heard that from?"
Miwa's eyes slowly closed as she was falling asleep, but not before she spoke without much thought on what she said or where it even came from. "Night.....baba."
"Looks like you haven't fully lost your memories, with luck you might get them back." Macaque got up from the couch, letting her sleep while he left through the shadows.
