Her face turned red — like, full-on tomato red 🍅.Jay quickly looked away, but I still caught a glimpse of her ears. Red too. Adorable.
I tapped her shoulder. "Jay? Zoned out?"
"H-huh?" she blinked.
I grinned. "Are you blushing?"
"N-nope, def-definitely not," she stuttered.
I smirked. Yeah right, Jay. You're too obvious. I checked the time — 7:47 AM. Great. We were definitely late.
I started the car, still trying not to laugh. Every few seconds, I'd steal a glance at her — but then I'd tell myself, Stop staring, idiot. She'll notice.
We reached school. Jay reached for the door handle, but I stopped her.
"W-why?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
I got out first, walked around, and opened the door for her like a gentleman. I am such a nice person!
She smiled, but immediately tried to hide it.
"Why are you hiding it?" I asked, walking beside her.
"Hiding what?" she replied, pretending not to know.
"Your smile."
"I'm not." She said that fast — and walked faster too.
"Hey," I called out.
"What??"
"Aren't you gonna say thank you?"
"For what?" she asked, still not looking at me.
"For dropping you off, opening the car door, walking with you, talking to you, for kis—"
She slapped her hand over my mouth so fast.
"Keifer! Let's go to the classroom, it's getting late," she hissed, still covering my mouth.
She let go when we got to the classroom. Section E immediately noticed — and of course, chaos followed.
"Ooooo couple alert 😏"
"I bet 1000 pesos they'll get married someday!"
"Name the kid after me!"
"Husband and wife!" Felix yelled.
"Shut up, guys, let them have their moment!" someone else added.
Jay glared at me like I just confessed to a crime.
"What? I was just telling the truth 😌," I said, shrugging.
"Truth? You want me buried alive right now?!" she snapped, taking her seat beside mine.
I sat down too. She glanced at me again — not angry, not annoyed… just smiling a little.
"Quit staring," I said, laughing.
"I'm not staring at you," she said, turning away.
"Really?"
She nodded repeatedly, but she was so lying.
I reached over and gently lifted her chin so she'd face me. "Then what are you looking at, hmm?" I teased softly.
Jay-Jay's POV
The entire Section E exploded.
"Oooooo couple!"
"Invite me to the wedding!"
"They're so cute, oh my god!"
"W-WHAT— let go!!" I said, yanking his hand away.
Before I could yell more, Sir Alvin walked in. Saved by the teacher.
He started teaching, but honestly? I understood nothing. My brain was still buffering from that whole "chin grab" thing.
Somehow, I fell asleep.
Next thing I knew, someone was poking my arm.
"Jay, it's lunch time, You've been sleeping for hours," Ci-n said, poking me again.
"Stop poking me, weirdo," I said, yawning.
He looked like he was about to cry.
"Keifer! She called me a weirdo," Ci-n said, fake-sobbing.
Yuri and I burst out laughing. But then Keifer went full dad mode and hugged him.
"It's okay, Ci-n," Keifer said, patting his back dramatically. "Don't mind your mean classmate."
"Jay, the kid's crying and you're laughing? Come comfort him!" he scolded me.
I walked over, trying not to laugh. "Okay okay, sorry Ci-n, you're not a weirdo."
He sniffled.
"You're a crybaby," I added — and Yuri lost it again.
"Da-I mean Keifer!, she called me a crybaby 😭😭," Ci-n said, turning to Keifer.
Wait. Dad?!
Keifer hugged him again like a sitcom parent 😭 "It's okay, child. Your mommy will never learn."
Did he just— DID HE JUST CALL ME MOMMY?!
"Mommy?? WHO?!" I shouted.
They both turned to look at me.
"You," Ci-n said, wiping his tears.
I froze. My brain fully crashed. These idiots just made me look like a mom!
