Chapter 104 - Chapter 104

Reincarnated as a Fisherman and a Dad Chapter 104

While Mr. Josuke was having fun with the achievement he worked hard for reeling in, Mr. Jotaro's fish had gotten close to the yacht, drawing the attention of everyone nearby. With a red face and veins all over his face, Mr. Jotaro did his best to reel in the big fish, his arms trembling from the intense resistance.

"T- This! This is a Blue Marlin!"

With a long, sharp nose that was dangerous, Mr. Jotaro immediately recognized the fish.

Even the other Japanese were surprised, some instinctively stepping back. Mr. Josuke also looked, but when he saw that the Blue Marlin was slightly smaller than his catch, he still had a smug face. He was clearly unwilling to let go of his earlier victory.

While waiting on the side, Karlos held the hook, ready to grab the fish.

"Here it comes!"

When the Blue Marlin was within reach, Karlos hooked it and hauled it into the yacht. The Blue Marlin was thrashing and kicking its tail with pure adrenaline.

The Japanese laughed but stayed away from the fish, they knew the danger of a Blue Marlin. Its sword-like nose could stab them.

A few minutes later, the Blue Marlin lost its strength, and Karlos took this moment to bleed it, ensuring the quality of the meat was preserved.

The two fish that Mr. Jotaro and Mr. Josuke caught were put into a huge ice box. However, it could only contain two or more big fish, anything after that was too much. They needed another container if they caught more. It hinted at how successful the trip already was.

After that, their group gradually caught more big fish, and Karlos became busy interacting with them. They had conversations and laughed along, it was fun, especially when everyone caught a fish or two.

Karlos also caught something while helping the group. It was a yellowfin tuna, about a meter long. It wasn't that big in terms of its species, the average size of a yellowfin tuna was 1.5 meters, while the biggest could reach 2.5 meters. So far, he was the only person who caught tuna, and the Japanese were interested in his catch. After some talking, Mr. Jotaro decided to buy his catch for 10,000 pesos, which Karlos happily sold.

He knew that the best price he could sell the yellowfin tuna for was 4,500 pesos at the fish port.

"Here, take this."

Karlos received a cheque from Mr. Jotaro, which he carefully put into his safety pocket. Considering that these people were rich, the cheque was 100% real.

"I caught another one."

Roman lightly smiled as he saw the investors smiling in satisfaction, mentally noting their enthusiasm. He organized this fishing trip to entertain these investors. Based on the smiles on their faces, they were having fun. He knew that this fishing trip was already a success.

'I didn't expect that this fishing spot would be abundant in fish.'

Roman promised to remember this location, thinking it might be useful later. He also fished sometimes, and he knew that fishing took a dozen minutes or even an hour to catch a fish. But now, every other minute, someone would catch a fish.

He was actually worried about their fishing lines getting tangled with each other, but so far, nothing like that had happened, thanks to the spacious deck.

The northern area of Una Town was being built, and many rich people were interested in investing in the place, seeing long-term returns. Una Town was a huge town in terms of area, but its infrastructure was not that impressive.

But now that the mayor was interested in developing the northern part of the town with aggressive policies, it was a huge investment. Still, wealthy people could see the potential of the project.

Una Town had the capacity to be a city. In a decade or two, it might become a rich city because of its impressive economy and strategic location.

'I've heard that even simple fishermen could earn 1 million a year, that's not bad,' Roman thought.

A couple of thousands was nothing to Roman, but once the amount reached over a million, then that was passable by his personal standards.

Anyway, these investors on the yacht were people who were interested in the development project of the northern part of Una Town and potential partnerships. The investment might be huge, but the profit potential was also massive. Some of them wanted to build apartments and private hospitals to secure early advantages.

As for Roman, he had already bought a huge area, and he would build factories, subdivisions, and hotels. One of the family's major businesses was food, particularly fast-food restaurants.

Roman realized that his fishing rod was slightly bending, meaning that he had also caught something, interrupting his thoughts. Just like the others, he grinned and reeled it in. It took a few minutes for him to catch a fat grouper, and he whistled in surprise.

After enjoying fishing, he decided to chat with the foreign investors, switching effortlessly between languages. With a smooth tongue, he had conversations with each group. He had studied languages since childhood. His father, particularly, hired foreign teachers to help him learn different languages.

It was tough, but he learned nonetheless. Roman was not a hardworking and disciplined person, unlike his older brother. For him, he just wanted to do passable work without exhausting himself. However, he was born into a family that demanded excellence.

Being a linguistic person, Roman knew how tough it was to learn a language, so he was impressed when Karlos could speak more and communicate so naturally.

While talking to the investors, Roman also checked the interpreters he had hired. Some of them were nervous, while others were calm.

Then, he decided to check on the Japanese, curious about their situation.

"Eh?"

He was stunned when he saw five huge containers around the group. They were laughing and talking loudly, some were drinking alcohol, while others were reeling in fish.

Roman curiously looked at the containers and found big fish inside.

'What the hell? These fish are quite huge!'

He thought the fat grouper he caught was already impressive, but these Japanese people who were laughing had actually performed better than him.

'No, even the Koreans and Spaniards can't compete. This group is on another level.'

With a forced smile, he decided to talk to them.

"You guys are impressive! Five containers filled with huge fish!" Roman spoke in Japanese.

"Haha, we just got lucky."

"Thank you, Roman-san, this fishing trip is fun!"

"Hahaha!"

They laughed happily. Then, Roman turned to Karlos. He thought Karlos would keep quiet because of nervousness, but he got along well with the Japanese. He even informed them about what kind of fish they caught and shared useful tips. He sometimes spoke about his experience as a fisherman.
