The Hoshikage knew that Kusuo's strength was immense. Even the Tailed Beasts of other villages were no match for him. To fight such a person without using the power of the "Star" was to have no chance of winning.
"Come! Grant me your power!"
To Kusuo's surprise, a piece of the "Star" broke off and merged into the Hoshikage's chest. His body immediately erupted with a purple energy.
"Fusing with the 'Star' gives him such powerful chakra," Natsuhi exclaimed.
Only Kusuo knew that this power came from the Ten-Tails. The Hoshikage's body was now enduring the Ten-Tails' chakra. Defeating him quickly would not be easy.
"ROAR..." The Hoshikage let out a furious roar at Kusuo. The puppets beside him also began to emit purple chakra. The chakra threads that Kusuo could previously only see with his Transparent World were now visible to the naked eye.
"Looks like we're in trouble now," Natsuhi said, gripping her shuriken tightly. "Hatake Kusuo, you should find a way out. This is our problem; it has nothing to do with you." At this point, she could see that this situation would not be easily resolved. She didn't want to drag him down with them.
But Kusuo had no intention of leaving. "Didn't we already agree on the terms? Are you planning to go back on your word?"
Natsuhi was taken aback, then her eyes filled with gratitude. She understood his meaning perfectly. "In that case, I, Natsuhi, thank you for saving my life, Lord Kusuo. I implore you to save my village from this disaster."
With that, she quickly formed hand seals, and the ninja with her followed suit, activating their Mysterious Peacock Method. "Everyone, charge with me and fight him!" Natsuhi no longer cared about anything else. Overthrowing the Hoshikage was a must, and she had to protect the other villagers.
However, the puppets now also possessed enhanced power.

Under the Hoshikage's control, the puppets all used the same ninjutsu.
"I'm going in," Kusuo said, and his figure vanished.
"You impudent brat! You think you can fight me with your paltry skills?" the Hoshikage looked at him with disdain, his hands forming seals. A shield made of chakra instantly appeared before him.
But Kusuo showed no reaction. With a cold snort, he slashed forward with his sword. This Hoshikage was not as weak as the last one he had faced. Especially with the "Star's" enhancement, his power was surprisingly formidable.
"You're courting death!" The Hoshikage formed a quick seal, and several giant spikes made of chakra shot towards Kusuo's chest. Kusuo remained calm, and with a single swing of his short sword, the chakra spikes vanished completely.
He didn't rush to use his full strength. Now that the Hoshikage had fused with the "Star," Kusuo wanted to see just how much power it could grant a person.
"Mysterious Peacock Method: Slash!" At the Hoshikage's command, a razor-sharp blade of chakra descended from the sky. Kusuo met it with his own sword. With a loud clang, the chakra blade dissipated into nothingness, while Kusuo's figure remained unchanged.
"It seems your moves aren't all that impressive."
The Hoshikage's face turned ugly. "You asked for this, so don't blame me." With that, a giant bird descended from the sky and attacked Kusuo. This bird was the strongest summoned beast the Hoshikage could call upon. It was different from ordinary summoned beasts, having been born from the "Star." Although different, it contained at least a portion of the Ten-Tails' power.
"It would be nice if Obito were here. This pure chakra would be perfect for him," Kusuo thought with a cold smile, continuing his battle with the Hoshikage.
The summoned beast swiped a massive claw at his sword. Kusuo didn't dodge, instead meeting it head-on with his own blade.
BOOM! After a massive explosion, both of Kusuo's feet were driven deep into the ground. "Looks like I really underestimated you." He had thought this summoned beast was no different from any other.
However, the Hoshikage, seeing this, was the one whose face changed drastically. The power Kusuo possessed was already far beyond what he could handle.
