EMMA
I moved around the room, letting my fingers brush objects as I passed them.
Just a few hours trapped in my room and it already felt like I was going out of my mind.
There were so many things I wanted to do, so many things I wanted to find out about Tyler's death, my aunt's disappearance, and the attempt on my life, but thanks to my evil, twisted stepsister, I couldn't even leave my room.
'Loosing it won't help,' Moon advised. 'Try to be calm.'
'But how can I be calm?' I said, pressing a hand to my temple.
I was sick of these four walls and every time I stopped pacing, I found myself counting the ticks of the clock.
My eyes fell on aunt Layla's trunk.
I wandered over to it and took out its contents. Somehow touching her things, feeling them, soothed me a little. It made me feel like she was close to me. Tears burned behind my eyes but I didn't let them fall, I had fo be strong for myself. I had no one else.
