Chapter 164 - The Aunt's Suspicions

Several hours earlier, as soon as Isha got the distress call from the Silver Dragon Clan, she immediately gathered her guards and rushed to help.

But the moment they crossed into Silver Dragon territory, they ran into soldiers from the Crimson Flame Dragon Clan.

The enemy did not want to fight directly. They just spent the whole time dodging and weaving around Isha's troops.

They were like a bunch of annoying flies—not biting, but enough to drive you crazy. Even with the power of a Dragon King, Isha could not find a good way to deal with these flies that would not fight and would not leave. The Crimson Flame dragons stuck to her and her Red Dragon soldiers like glue.

Time was passing quickly, and Isha was sick with worry. The situation was desperate. The longer she was delayed, the more danger her sister was in.

A dragon giving birth, even a Dragon Queen, is very weak. Her two young nieces were too small to fight. And even if they could, Little Rose would never allow it.

As for her brother-in-law… Despite his promise to protect Little Rose, Isha had only been looking for comfort at the time. This man had been sickly and in a coma for two years. He might be good with his mind, but asking him to pick up a sword and kill dragons? Wasn't that expecting too much?

If Constantine himself showed up, her brother-in-law would probably be finished.

[Leon: Sis, you have no idea about your brother-in-law. A man keeps his word. So what if I have to kill Constantine?]

The more Isha thought, the more anxious she became, and the more mistakes she made. The Crimson Flame Dragon Clan took advantage, and some of her soldiers were hurt.

Isha did not dare to pull too many troops from her own Red Dragon Temple. She was afraid it was a trick by Constantine to attack her home. If she left her own nest empty, Constantine could easily raid it.

So the two sides fought back and forth for hours. As dawn was about to break, Isha felt she could not wait any longer. Even if Constantine attacked her home, she could not let anything happen to Little Rose.

But just as Isha was about to gather most of her forces to break through, the Crimson Flame Dragon Clan suddenly retreated.

Isha did not have time to wonder why. She quickly flew with her soldiers at top speed toward the Silver Dragon Clan. But as they passed the Silver Dragon border, she saw a familiar sight—

Well, not a "face" exactly. It was a familiar "head." Constantine's huge dragon head had been cut off, one of its horns broken. It was hung at the border, its scales slowly losing their color in the wind and sand.

Isha could hardly believe her eyes. Constantine, the Crimson Flame Dragon King, a hero to dragons for thousands of years… his head was just chopped off like that?

Isha knew Little Rose's strength. While not as strong as an ancient Dragon King like Constantine, she should be able to defend her home with the advantage of her own territory.

But chopping off Constantine's head? Unless Little Rose had taken some incredibly powerful medicine, that would be impossible.

Isha asked the border guards who killed Constantine. The guard said proudly, "It was His Highness the Prince!"

"His Highness the Prince?… My, my brother-in-law?!"

Isha tried to picture her delicate, sickly brother-in-law fighting Constantine alone…

She could not even imagine it!

No, she had to find out the truth.

Little Rose, what kind of strange dragon did you marry?!

"I am getting to the bottom of this today!"

"Hey there, little cutie, you are so adorable! Let Auntie give you a kiss~ muuuua~~"

Who cared about Little Rose? Who cared about her brother-in-law? This Red Dragon Queen did not know! All she knew was that her three nieces were unbearably cute!

The mother dragon of the Melkvey family was an expert at changing moods.

Leon quietly moved closer to Rossweise and whispered, "Your sister came in looking so fierce. I thought she had found out our secret."

Sis was very smart. She must have seen Constantine's body and head on her way. A simple question would tell her that Leon killed Constantine.

But Rossweise had made up a "background" for Leon, saying he was from a weak, disbanded dragon clan. How could he possibly kill Constantine?

It would definitely make Isha suspicious. That was why the couple was worried she would discover Leon was a dragon slayer.

Rossweise looked at her sister and whispered back to Leon, "She probably did want to ask you how you killed Constantine before she came in. But obviously, our little daughter is much more interesting than Constantine."

Leon agreed.

"Aw, little niece, why does your tail look almost the same color as Auntie's?"

Finally, Isha noticed the color of the baby's tail.

She lifted her own tail, pinched the tip, and held it next to the baby's tail for the couple to see.

"Look, the baby's tail color is like mine, just a little lighter. If she grows a bit more, it might look just like mine."

The couple both lowered their heads and covered their faces. They felt a little speechless about this.

The "who does the third child look like" argument they had for seven whole months ended like this! In the end, the aunt won.

"Why are you two so quiet? Do not you like to talk?" Isha asked.

"No… Sister, as long as you are happy…" Rossweise said.

"Okay then."

Isha held the baby in her arms, gently rocking back and forth.

"Little darling, do you want Auntie to take you to the Red Dragon Clan? Auntie will not get married or have children. In a hundred years, you can be the next Red Dragon Queen!"

"Elder sister, wait!"

Leon quickly interrupted. If he did not speak up now, his precious daughter might be tempted by Isha's words.

Isha gave him a look and pursed her lips. "Tsk, just kidding. Look how scared you are."

Isha put the baby back next to Rossweise. Then she let out a breath, stood up straight, crossed her arms, and looked closely at her sister and brother-in-law.

Rossweise lay in the bed. Leon sat by her pillow. The couple looked strangely in sync. Isha's eyes moved from Rossweise to Leon, and finally settled on Leon's face.

Leon looked around, then scratched his forehead. "What is it, sister?"

"I did not expect you to be such a hidden expert, brother-in-law."

After some time cuddling her niece, it was time to get down to business.

"What do you mean, sister?" Leon sensed danger and decided to play dumb.

"Sigh, brother-in-law, now that you have killed Constantine, there is no need to be so modest."

Isha then looked at her sister.

"Little Rose, did you not tell me before that Leon is from a weak, disbanded dragon clan? That he was often sick? That he fell into a coma less than a month after you were married?"

Rossweise's eyes shifted away. She looked a little embarrassed.

"Y-yes. Leon's health… has not been good, right? Is not that right? Say something."

She gently elbowed Leon's side under the covers.

Leon nodded quickly. "Yes, sister, my health has not been good lately. I have been taking medicine."

"Medicine? What medicine?"

"Uh… I have been taking… uh…" Leon's mind raced, trying to remember names of dragon medicines. But under Isha's intense stare, the words just came out. "Dragon Kidney Protector!"

Isha gasped, then shook her head slightly. "A normal male dragon from a weak clan like yours could not kill a Dragon King like Constantine, even if you ate all the Dragon Kidney Protector in the world."

"Besides," she added, "Little Rose is pregnant. She cannot do anything. Why would you need kidney medicine?"

Step by step, she pushed harder, and everything she said made sense. Rossweise grabbed the blanket with both hands and pulled it over her face.

Avoiding the question was shameful, but it worked! It is all up to you now, husband!

Isha looked at Leon, a slight smile on her lips. She asked slowly, "Tell me, brother-in-law, who are you, really?"

Noah and Muen, who had stepped aside to watch the show, thought: This is getting good. Auntie Isha is on a roll
