c104 Crisis moment! Lures and Kaioshin come to the rescue
"We have to return quickly. Goku Black and Future Zamasu are far too dangerous. We need a plan." Goku spoke grimly.
Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks climbed into the Time Machine.
But before they could even take off, several searing energy blasts streaked toward them, detonating violently around the clearing!
"What?!" Future Mai and the other resistance fighters froze in horror.
"Damn! We've been found!" Goku and the others scrambled out of the Time Machine despite their injuries.
Hoo-ho-ho!
In seconds, Goku Black and Future Zamasu descended from above, hovering with cold, triumphant smiles.
"It really wasn't hard to track you down, Son Goku!" Goku Black smirked darkly.
"This is bad…" Goku's face hardened. Escape seemed almost impossible now.
Neither he nor Vegeta had the strength to fight. Trunks was still barely standing. Mai and the other humans had no chance.
"Oh my… An unexpected bonus. Mortals, where do you think you can flee now?" Future Zamasu's expression was flat, but his tone was dripping with hatred.
His disdain for mortals was absolute. And Saiyans? Just as detestable. If not for needing Son Goku's body to execute the "Zero Mortals Plan," he'd have erased him long ago.
"Mai! Get out of here!" Trunks stepped in front of her, sword drawn despite his exhaustion.
"No, Trunks! I'm not leaving you!" Mai's voice trembled she knew if she fled alone, it would mean his death. What point was there in surviving like that?
"Enough sentimentality. None of you are leaving alive." Goku Black extended his hand, condensing a swirling black-and-gold energy sphere.
"Not good!" Goku and Vegeta exchanged a grim look. They'd never imagined they'd die here, like this.
And then without warning the sky split open. A massive glowing rift appeared overhead, flooding the battlefield with a blinding column of divine light that cut through the eternal night.
"Who?!" Goku Black and Future Zamasu's eyes widened.
"Another being traveling through time and space? Impossible!" Zamasu's voice dripped with suspicion.
From the light, several silhouettes descended. As the glow faded, their forms became clear.
"Kaioshin-sama! And Kibito?!" Goku gasped.
"Teacher?! You're alive?!" Both Goku Black and Zamasu looked startled the man before them was none other than Gowasu, the Kaioshin of Universe 10, accompanied by Kibito Kai of Universe 7.
The newcomers landed in front of Goku's group.
"We meet again," Gowasu said warmly.
"Why are you here and together?" Goku asked, surprised.
Kibito Kai smiled. "Beerus-sama has confirmed that Zamasu was behind everything. In our timeline, Lord Beerus erased him on the spot. But the Old Kaioshin asked us to come here and assist."
"Eh?! Zamasu was erased?" Goku was startled.
Overhead, Future Zamasu's face twisted with fury.
"Then why is this Zamasu still here?" Vegeta demanded.
"This timeline is entirely separate from ours," Gowasu explained. "Killing him in one reality changes nothing in another. And here, the gods who could oppose him are… gone."
"It's just like with the Androids!" Future Trunks realized. "Even when the Androids changed in one world, the ones in my timeline were still evil. When I destroyed them, the others stayed alive heck, even married Krillin!"
"Exactly," Kibito Kai nodded.
Still, Kibito Kai was unsettled Goku Black's ki had grown monstrous since they'd last seen him.
Gowasu took in the devastation and said gravely, "Fortunately, we arrived in time, or my own pupil would have slaughtered you all. What a tragedy."
Then, turning to Zamasu, his voice hardened: "Zamasu, stop this now. Admit your wrongdoing, and there's still a path back."
"Admit it? Hah! My foolish teacher you're still so naïve!" Future Zamasu's eyes glinted with madness. "I will cleanse the cosmos of all mortals. Can't you see? I am mere moments from victory! Once these pests are gone, humanity will be erased from existence!"
"You truly are rotten wood that can't be carved…" Gowasu muttered bitterly. He had once believed Zamasu could be guided back to the path of a true Kaioshin. Now, the mask had fallen the Zero Mortals Plan was his genuine obsession.
"Tch. Are you done talking? Then let's remove you first and finish this in one blow!" Goku Black sneered.
"Hmph. A thief who stole another's body, daring to strut around how pitiful." Kibito Kai's lips curled in mockery.
"What?!" Goku Black's pupils contracted.
Kibito Kai tossed a small pouch to Mai. "Feed them these."
Inside were Senzu Beans. Mai quickly gave them to Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks.
Kibito Kai's gaze locked on Goku Black. "That body was Son Goku's originally, wasn't it?"
"What?!" Goku, still chewing a Senzu Bean, froze.
"So what?" Goku Black replied coldly.
"You learned of the Super Dragon Balls after the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 Tournament. You went to Zuno for information, gathered all seven, and wished to swap bodies with Goku. Your soul… is Zamasu's." Kibito Kai's words were razor-sharp.
"Hah! Correct! But no prize for you!" Goku Black laughed.
"And afterward, you murdered Goku's family Chi-Chi and Goten by your own hand!" Kibito Kai added icily.
"What…?" Goku's mind went blank. Then, fury exploded within him.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Goku Black taunted. "To be killed by the one closest to you true art!"
"GOKU BLACK!!! You… BASTARD!!" Goku roared, hair blazing blue as he erupted into Super Saiyan Blue and launched himself forward.
