c72: "Xiaofang is Missing! Trio Haunted!"
Gohan's body was trembling at this moment, fists clenched tightly.his frustration with himself evident. The sting of his own weakness was undeniable.
Luya observed him quietly, then shook his head and spoke:
"As far as I know, during the battle with Cell, you didn't just unlock Super Saiyan 2—you shattered your limits in that rage-filled moment. Later, during the Buu Saga, you underwent Elder Kai's ritual and awakened your latent potential completely your Ultimate form surpassed even Super Saiyan 3 in raw efficiency. But now… that potential seems to have gone dormant again."
"That's right!" Piccolo suddenly landed nearby, walking over slowly.
"Gohan's power, if fully trained and refined, could rival or even surpass Goku's. But unlike his father, Gohan has chosen a life of peace. His Saiyan instincts have dulled with time.and his fighting spirit… has been voluntarily restrained."
Gohan stood up slowly, lowering his head in guilt.
"Uncle Piccolo, I… I'm sorry. I've let you down."
Piccolo didn't scold him. Instead, he smiled faintly.
"It's not something you need to apologize for. You've built your own family, you have Videl, and now Pan. Choosing a life outside battle isn't a failure, Gohan. You don't need to chase after Goku or Vegeta. As long as those two are still around, Earth is safe. And besides…"
He paused, his expression softening.
"...You've always had the heart of a protector. That doesn't vanish because you've chosen peace."
Gohan looked up, eyes misty, and saw no disappointment in Piccolo's gaze—only pride. In Piccolo's eyes, he was still that same young boy who once screamed in rage at Namek and defeated Cell.
"Thank you, Uncle Piccolo," Gohan whispered sincerely.
Piccolo nodded, then turned to Luya.
"That's enough for today. Gohan doesn't need this kind of pressure right now."
Luya nodded. "Understood."
Inwardly, though, he sighed. What a waste of such a prodigy…
Still, he wasn't worried. The Tournament of Power wouldn't begin for some time yet. When that came, he was confident Gohan's fighting spirit would reignite.
"Let's go, Gohan," Piccolo said firmly.
Gohan nodded, then turned to Luya with a respectful bow.
"Thank you again for today."
Luya offered a faint smile. "Think nothing of it."
Not long after, Piccolo and Gohan flew off.
Luya lingered a moment, watching the horizon. Then he chuckled lightly to himself.
[Ding! System Notification: Mission not yet complete. Additional Saiyan power still required!]
Luya's smile didn't fade. He had expected this result. Although he hadn't received Gohan's full recognition, it was only a matter of time.

Elsewhere, as Piccolo and Gohan returned home, they immediately sensed something off. On arrival, they found Goku and the others gathered, expressions tense.
"…What's going on?" Gohan asked, confused.
"Gohan!"
Videl ran into his arms, her voice trembling with emotion, clearly distraught.
"Videl? What's wrong?" Gohan asked urgently, holding her shoulders.
"Xiaofang… Pan is missing!"
"WHAT?!"
Both Gohan and Piccolo's expressions changed drastically!
"What do you mean missing?!" Piccolo roared, his face darkening instantly.
"We only left for a short while!" Gohan added, disbelief flooding his voice. "How could she just disappear?!"
Wukong scratched his head awkwardly, trying to explain.
"Well, uh… I was playing with her and then… she kind of vanished? I turned my head for a second and when I looked back… gone."
"GONE?!" Piccolo's voice rose, fury evident in his tone.
The green of his skin seemed to deepen with rage. He had spent time with Pan, trained her even she was like a granddaughter to him.
"This is unbelievable!" Piccolo hissed.
"Calm down, Piccolo…" Goku tried, but even he looked a little rattled. "We've searched the whole area, and her energy signature just vanished."
"That doesn't make any sense!" Gohan shouted. "Pan may be a baby, but her power is unique she's half Saiyan! Even if she was unconscious, her ki shouldn't just disappear!"
Videl buried her face in Gohan's chest, crying.
"Could she have been taken?" Piccolo's tone was sharp, tactical. "Or… did she fly off on her own again like last time?"
Wukong nodded. "That was my first thought too. Last time she flew all the way out to that desert when she saw a bird…"
"But there's nothing on the radar now," Krillin said grimly, holding up Bulma's scouter device. "No trace of her ki anywhere."
A deep, uncomfortable silence followed.
"…Then we'd better act fast," Piccolo said, already preparing to fly. "Before anything worse happens."
Piccolo could be called Pan's guardian angel. Ever since she was a baby, he watched over her like his own granddaughter. The news of her disappearance hit him like a thunderclap unexpected and devastating.
"What exactly happened?" Gohan asked, his voice tense, eyes dark with worry.
Chi-Chi stepped forward and pointed furiously at Goku. "Let me explain. Videl and I were in the kitchen preparing lunch. We left Pan with Goku—your father. But this big oaf actually fell asleep while watching her! When we came back, she was gone!"
"I didn't mean to!" Goku muttered guiltily, scratching his head. "Pan was already asleep, and I've been feeling drained since the tournament. I just nodded off. I didn't sense anything weird…"
"This isn't about excuses!" Piccolo growled, fists clenched. "What matters now is finding Pan!"
"We already checked the nearby woods and hilltops," Goku said, frowning. "No trace of her ki anywhere… It's like she vanished completely."
"I'll check from the sky Gohan, with me!" Piccolo shouted.
"Right!" Gohan said, powering up instantly. They both blasted off to search.
"I'll help too!" Goku added, following behind.
Soon, everyone Gohan, Piccolo, Goku, even Krillin and Goten began scouring the surrounding area. They figured Pan, though strong for her age, couldn't have gone too far.
Meanwhile, deep in the woods not far from Mount Paozu, a trio of familiar comic relief villains were crouched behind some thick bushes.
It was Pilaf, Shu, and Mai, collectively known as the "Pilaf Gang."
Using binoculars, they peered at Gohan's home through the trees. Behind them, their custom robot, shaped like a giant mechanical fortress, loomed silently.
They had overheard a rumor—Goku was unwell.and planned to seize the opportunity to steal something from Capsule Corp. or perhaps exact petty revenge.
But now, seeing Piccolo and others searching nearby, panic began to set in.
"Boss, I think they saw us!" Shu whispered, trembling.
Pilaf's forehead beaded with sweat. "D-Don't be ridiculous! They're probably just—wait, Mai! Where's the robot key?!"
Mai's expression darkened. "You… left it in the cockpit, didn't you?!"
Suddenly—
Vrrrrrrrm!
The robot shook, its engine flaring to life.
"WHAAAAT?!" all three screamed.
The cockpit screen flickered on, and the robot slowly lifted off the ground.
"No one activated it! Then why—?!"
Before they could guess further, the massive machine launched upward, jets blazing.
They panicked and leapt aboard just as it blasted off.
BOOM!
Twin jet boosters flared, and the robot vanished into the sky like a rocket.
Back on Earth, Goku and the others were still combing the area.
In the cockpit, however, the answer to the mystery had just revealed itself.
"EEEEH?! Boss look!!" Shu gasped, pointing at the controls.
Sitting contentedly in the pilot seat, babbling happily and mashing buttons with her tiny hands, was none other than Pan.
Pilaf's jaw hit the floor. "W-Why is she HERE?!"
"She must've snuck in earlier!" Mai cried, sweating.
"W-What do we do now?!" Shu asked in a panic.
"Throw her out! She's Gohan's daughter—the descendant of Goku! She's dangerous!" Pilaf yelped in full-blown crisis mode.
"We can't throw a baby out of a flying robot!" Mai shouted, smacking him over the head. "She's just a kid!"
"T-Then what do we wait—ugh, what's that smell?!" Shu recoiled, waving a hand in front of his nose.
All three sniffed the air and instantly recoiled in horror.
"No... it can't be!" Pilaf's eyes widened.
They all slowly turned toward Pan.
"Oh no... SHE POOPED!" the three screamed in unison.
"There's no ventilation in this robot!" Mai wailed.
"It's airtight! We're trapped with it!" Shu cried.
Pan giggled happily, having the time of her life.
Pilaf, on the edge of mental collapse, lunged forward and accidentally pressed a bright red emergency button.
BEEP! WARNING! Autopilot malfunction! Target coordinates scrambled!
The entire robot jolted violently.
"Waaaaahhhhhh!"
The trio screamed as the robot spiraled upward, completely out of control.
Meanwhile, back below, Gohan suddenly felt a faint, rising energy signal—heading into the stratosphere.
"Wait… That's Pan's ki!" he shouted.
Piccolo narrowed his eyes and locked onto it. "She's airborne—and going fast!"
