Lora arrived in Red Woods about a couple of days later after leaving Vania. She stopped at the post office prior to going to her hotel room that was set up for her by Doureena. The package held the potion along with a note stating when Petun should consume the liquid. She had placed the liquid in a frisk to make it more appealing and unsuspecting to drink. The letter was written as if it were Aticus, herself, who had written the letter.
She stepped out into the night looking around town. Not many were out on the streets, most wolves tend to run wild once sun comes down so maybe that's what most of them were doing.
Across the street, she saw a bar and jogged over to go inside. She peered outside while inside the establishment. The clouds were a bit darker and Lora could smell the scent of rain appoarching. She took her backpack off and placed it to the side as she sat on the stool. She looked up at the TV, listening more so to try and improve her Atin than to actually hear what was going on.
Her phone ranged.
"Ayo!"
It was Doureena on the other side, again with her smiling. "One of my scouts reported you were in our territory."
"They would be right."
"Come to my office tomorrow so we can discuss your mate's situation." Lora hung up the phone just as the bartender came up to her. Lora wasn't much of a drinker so she simply requested for a soda.
The bell rung to the patrons entering into the bar. It wasn't anyone Lora knew so she kept her head down.
Diamond and Zhiliary sat next to Lora already knowing who she was. Diamond sat on one side while Zhiliary sat on the other of Lora. The two of them got scotch on the rocks and waited patiently for it to arrive. In the meantime, she sniffed and peaked their ears to Lora.
"You must care a lot about your mate if you're here trying to bid her safety." Zhiliary said, taking a sip of her drink.
"You two can fuck off."
"Oooo," Diamond mocked. "Do you know who we are?"
"I'm not stupid. Your Alpha sent you to me."
"Some accent you got." Diamond pointed out.
"I bet you don't even know how to say 'hi' in Den Den-Ahh!" Lora's neck was bent all the way back to the point she was looking directly into Zhiliary's eyes. The young Alpha's claws were extracted and held at Lora's neck. Lora gulped, trying to control her wolf, trying to not be further from getting angry.
Zhiliary held onto Lora's hair and yanked it further back, stretching the Alpha's neck even more.
"Tsk," Lora let out. This Alpha was strong and she looked no more than eighteen m, maybe even nineteen.
The bartender was just an Omega trying to do his job but hated seeing the other Alpha get wolf-handle like she was.
"Can y'all do that outside?" He asked.
Zhiliary flicked her eyes at him and he bared his neck to her, showing her he meant no harm, wasn't trying to lead anything. That he simply wanted peace.
Zhiliary let go of Lora's hair and she was able to sit back up on the stool. Zhiliary went to her stool as well and patted Lora on the back. She pushed her scotch over to Lora.
"You seem tense. Take a sip." She shoved her drink in Lora's face but the other Alpha pushed it away. They were testing her. Trying to break her. With the war, her wife's known affair, having to save face of it all.
"It taste good," Diamond instigated.
Lora got up to leave but found herself tripping over Diamond's foot and Zhilary pushing her to the floor. She slid a bit but was able to catch the leg of a table, and got up. A fist came in contact with her jaw and she was knocked to the ground. She attempted to stand up but the two Alphas placed their boots on her shoulders, holding her down.
The Omega was worried. He pleaded with the two. "Please!"
"Mind your place, Omega!" Zhiliary yelled at the young bartender. The Omega watched as other patrons began to leave the bar. He sighed and stepped back, leaning against the shelves that held all the drinks. He shook his head. They were such tyrants.
They tried to push Lora to the ground with their boots, the force of their foots. Lora held on with her fingers spread wide against the flood. She clinched her jaw, tasting blood from the punch earlier.
"Come on, Alpha of Conaska, bow to us. Show us your weakness as you go behind your Alpha's back, betray your pack."
'Please don't mention the affair, please don't mention the affair' was all Lora could think of to protect her pride, to honor her wife.
"The Princess, eh?" Diamond laughed.
Sweat dropped down from Lora's face head landing on the floor. Her eyeballs shook realizing that this pack was told intimate details by Lora's own Alpha. It was she who felt betrayed.
"Your mate is up for sell. I'd like a piece of her." Diamond joked.
Lora's canines grew, her fur and muscle busted her clothes as she transformed before them. The other two Alphas did the same, ready for a challenge against someone they thought to be lesser than them.
The Omega got out of the way just in time as Lora was thrown over the bar and slammed into the shelves. The bottle and cans broke and dismantled. She got up quickly enough to grab onto Diamond's jaws with her own claws, spreading his jaws further apart. Her two front fingers were near his mouth and he took an opportunity to chump down on her hand, biting off her index finger and middle finger. The two fingers fell to the floor.
Lora head butted Diamond and pushed him away, she charged toward him but pushed back and slammed into the wide of the wall by Zhiliary. Lora got out the way just in time as Zhiliary landed in the exact spot she was in just a moment ago. The two Alphas ran along the walls on all fours with Lora running towards the ceiling.
Now upside down, Zhiliary pounced on Lora and bit into her neck. Lora screamed out and fell to the floor, stomach first.
The door to the bar opened. A small hand opened the door. The wolves stopped in their tracks to see who would enter when three Alphas were fighting.
Kara opened the door with a package intended for the Omega. They had met while both being messengers even though he was much older, he was sweet and Monica liked him as well. Since he wasn't able to go on hunt that night, Monica suggested Kara take some treats to him.
She saw the three wolves, one on the ground with the other standing over the other. Over in the corner was the Omega, shivering and unsure of what to do.
Kara licked her lips, dropped the box and pulled out her training wand her mother had got her. They were causing harm and...and she wasn't thinking. She just wanted to help. She struck her wand toward them.
"Trudo!" She screamed out. The force of the spell caused the two standing wolves to be pushed back. Just enough to give space between them and the Alpha on the ground.
Kara ran toward the Alpha and could smell right off the bat this Alpha wasn't from the pack. She was bleeding heavily though.
"Aqua senere!" She pointed her wand at the wounds on the neck. Watching as the tissue, the fat, and skin all came together.
"Kara!"
Kara turned to see Diamond and Zhiliary looking at her, now back in their human forms. They stared at Kara's wand then turned to look at her.
Kara quickly got up and ran away, leaving the package where she dropped it.
Lora slowly turned back to her human form, unconscious. Diamond went to her as Zhiliary stood where she was, stunned. Kara was a witch. That meant, her parents, Doureena-no, Monica. It had to have been Monica.
Zhiliary ran outside and took out her phone to call Doureena. She waited for the Alpha to pick up.
"Yes."
Zhiliary was breathing hard.
"Spit out elite."
"Sorry, Alpha, I butt dialed." She didn't want to rush into anything. Maybe it was just some toy. Some toy Sous left. Yeah, that was it. It was just something that mutt must have gave her. It wasn't like it was impossible for wolves to do magic.
She went back into the bar and shrugged her shoulders at Diamond, putting her phone away. "Sous gave her that wand." She said confidently.
Diamond simply rolled his eyes and cursed the mutt under his breath. Zhiliary walked to him and together they lifted Lora up. It was going to be awkward with all three of them walking nude to her hotel but until someone invented expanding clothes, this was their destiny.
