With an exhausted sigh, I close the laptop, resting my eyes for a bit. There's a conference meeting in the next hour, and I'm too exhausted to even lift a finger.
Thank God for lunch breaks.
I sigh again, my eyes scanning my little cabin before I stand up, ready to go get some coffee.
I push myself out of the room, dragging myself to the entrance.
Today, I'd love to go get my coffee outside the normal cafe they have here. I feel like stretching my legs, so walking a little won't hurt.
As I walk down the pavement, a deep shiver runs down my spine. Something or someone is watching me.
I stop in my tracks, then look around for any sign of a possible stalker.
"Hmm," I dart my eyes around, carefully watching every corner.
"It must be my fatigue catching up to me," I cough slightly, then continue walking.
The coffee shop is just a few yards away, and I need to hurry; if not, Lucien will breathe down my neck.
