With strained legs, I step out of the taxi, then I stretch my legs. After paying him, I drag myself to the entrance of the club.
The security guard at the entrance gives me a look that resembles curiosity. "Yes?"
"I'm.. I'm here to club," I reply dryly.
"Are you up to twenty one? If you aren't, no kid."
A small smile forms at the corner of my mouth, "I am twenty one," I reach into my purse to fish out my ID, giving it to him.
He takes one quick look at it, then hands it back to me.
"Have fun," he makes way for me.
"Oh, that was close," I sigh deeply as I enter inside.
The neon lights hit my face, coupled with the heavy bass music blasting from the speakers. The air is thick with sweat, perfume, and the smell of alcohol.
Bodies are pressed together on the dance floor, some making out right there.
Gross, again.
Snapping myself back to reality, I push past a lot of bodies, before reaching the bar that is somehow a little far off from the main disco.
