Chapter 65 - ep:60"Pull The Trigger."

****************Warning*********************

Homicidal behavior.

Han began to breathe heavily, fear plain on his face. "Noona, if I open this door with my pass key, Dad will kill me today."

Jiwoo went pale but forced herself to stay upright. "Han, you know Christine loves you, and you love her too. She always comes home at two p.m. Now it's eleven at night and she's still missing. I'm scared Dad might do anything to her just for a little money. If something happens, how will I ever forgive myself?"

Han wanted to help but terror pinned him in place. This was the first time he'd seen Jiwoo so desperate — it meant something truly was wrong. To be safe he murmured, "Noona, I can't take you inside willingly but…"

His eyes flicked to the pistol on the bodyguard's belt.

Jiwoo understood instantly. She snatched the gun, pressed it against Han's head and ordered, "Open it."

Shaking, Han pulled out his card and unlocked the door.

Inside the Room

Dozens of middle-aged men sat on sofas in the lounge area. Jiwoo kept the gun raised.

"Where's my father?" she demanded.

Startled, the men scattered, sprinting for the exits. Jiwoo let them go without a word.

"Dad! Where are you?" she shouted.

Mr. Joon emerged from his office.

Seeing Jiwoo holding the gun to Han's head, Mr. Joon only smirked.

"Where's Christine?" Jiwoo asked again.

He didn't answer.

"Tell me or I'll kill Han," she said.

Mr. Joon laughed. "I knew you'd cause a scene, but not this big. If you want to kill him, go ahead."

The words shattered Han. Jiwoo's voice shook. "You don't care if I kill him. You wouldn't care if I killed myself." She shoved Han aside and aimed at Mr. Joon instead. "Then I will kill you."

He stood tall, unafraid.

Just then Christine walked out, still wearing her headphones. "Mr. Joon, where's the charger—" She stopped at the sight of the gun. Pulling her headphones off, she said urgently, "Jiwoo, what are you doing? Put it down."

Jiwoo's breath came in gasps, tears spilling down her cheeks. She was relieved Christine was alive, yet couldn't lower the gun. Maybe if I kill him today, we'll be free, me and jihan. I can take revenge for jimin. Just if i pull the trigger, she thought.

"Jiwoo, please," Christine said again, stepping closer.

Jiwoo's hands trembled harder. Christine reached her, gently took the gun, tossed it aside and pulled Jiwoo into a tight embrace. Both women sobbed against each other's shoulders.

"Let's go home," Christine whispered.

"Yes Christine let's go home," Jiwoo echoed. She guided Christine out.

Mr. Joon and Han

Mr. Joon's eyes shifted to Han. He sat on the sofa and beckoned with one finger.

Han walked over and knelt.

Mr. Joon wasn't angry that Han had brought Jiwoo inside. He was angry because Han had stood silently to the side, as if waiting for Jiwoo to shoot.

"Why were you just standing there while she pointed a gun at me?" he asked.

Han kept his head down. "Maybe if I said something, she would have pulled the trigger."

Mr. Joon lifted his chin with a finger. "What do you really mean by that?"

Han said nothing.

The punch came so hard he fell to the floor, face burning red. Mr. Joon moved to kick him but a manager burst in. "Sir, the VIPs are getting restless. We need you."

Mr. Joon glared at Han. "I'll deal with you later, don't think I will let you go easily." he snapped, then left.
