In the morning Han and Chaewon were still asleep when someone started knocking at the door. Chaewon woke up first, quickly shook Han awake and whispered for him to go back to his room.
Han, still half asleep, got up in a hurry and ran out. When he entered his room, he paused, confused. Why did I run like that? It's not like I'm cheating on my boyfriend, he thought.
At the door, Chaewon opened it and found Christine and Jiwoo. He greeted them politely and let them in. Both of them sat on the sofa. Jiwoo kept staring at him, her face showing surprise. Something about him felt strange to her, but she didn't understand why yet.
Christine smiled and started asking about Chaewon's health. They already knew each other, so she spoke warmly. Chaewon went to the kitchen to bring water.
Jiwoo frowned, finally blurting out, "You… you know him?" Christine chuckled, "Are you jealous?" and then leaned over and kissed Jiwoo on the lips.
Just then Chaewon came back from the kitchen carrying water. He froze at the sight, and the tray slipped from his hands and clattered onto the floor. Both women rushed to him immediately. Han also came running from his room after hearing the noise.
Jiwoo looked at him and said sharply, "So you were awake." Han rubbed his eyes and acted like he had just woken up.
Seeing the broken glass on the floor, Jiwoo told Christine, "Go sit on the sofa." Christine went back smiling. Jiwoo bent down and started picking up the glass.
This made Chaewon panicked. "Oh noona, leave it. I'll do it." But she didn't listen and kept cleaning.
Chaewon glanced at Han with an apologetic look. Han quickly asked, "Are you fine? Are you hurt anywhere?" Chaewon shook his head.
Han stepped closer and gently held Chaewon's hand to move him away from the sharp pieces. Jiwoo finished cleaning and then brought juice for everyone. There were six glasses—two covered.
Watching the two extra glasses Han asked, "Noona, is someone coming?" Jiwoo didn't answer, but Christine smiled and said, "Yes. Seokmin and Seungmin are coming." Han jumped up. "Why didn't you tell me before? Look at me—how I'm dressed. I'll get ready before Seungmin comes." Watching him rush off made Chaewon's chest tighten. He's worried about looking good for Seungmin, but when he's with me, he's just himself. He was jealous.
Han stayed in his room while Chaewon went to the kitchen to prepare food. The doorbell rang again. Christine ran to open it and hugged both brothers. Jiwoo rolled her eyes, thinking, Why does she always have to hug people? Is it that important? She was clearly jealous.
They came inside and sat down. Chaewon came out and greeted Seungmin and Seokmin. Seungmin didn't even glance at him, acting like he didn't care.
But Seokmin stood up, shook his hand and said warmly, "I'm Choi Seokmin. I've heard a lot about you. Han hyung was a crazy fan of you guys. You know once we had a party and he played your songs the whole night. Everyone got so tired of it but he was so happy. I really like your solo 'The Grey Sky.' I always listen when I'm sad. I never thought I'd meet you in person. You're really handsome in real life. When Seungmin hyung told me about you, I was shocked. I'm so happy right now."
Jiwoo stared at Seokmin. "Stop it. Take a breathe. So annoying—how can a person talk this much in the morning?" "Ohh, sorry noona," Seokmin laughed and sat back beside Seungmin. Seungmin, still not looking at Chaewon, muttered, "That was too much." Seokmin's face turned serious. "You told me to do this."
Chaewon began setting the table.
Christine stood up. Jiwoo asked, "Where are you going?" "To help Chaewon," she said. "No, sit here. I'll do it." Jiwoo went to the kitchen instead, and Seokmin followed to help. Seokmin took plates from Chaewon's hands and started setting the table. She found it odd—he was usually the type to hate getting out of bed, and now he was helping. She asked suddenly, "Do you have a crush on him?"
Chaewon almost dropped a plate. Jiwoo grabbed it from him. "Don't do anything," she scolded. Seokmin smiled, "Just check the food on the stove. I'll handle this." Jiwoo pressed again, "So you really have a crush on him? Aren't you afraid Jisoo will kill you if he finds out? He's not like your brother…" Seokmin cut her off before she could speak any further. "Noona, we broke up."
Jiwoo's eyes widened. She was shocked. "What? A joke? No way. Anyone can break up, but you two?" Chaewon kept listening quietly. Seokmin's voice trembled, "Can you stop please? I'm hurt. If I'm saying we broke up, that means we broke up. Probably it was just one-sided. I don't think he ever loved me. It was just me wanting to be with him. But now I've given him the freedom he wanted. I'm sad."
Jiwoo kept her face blank. "Hope you'll get out of this," she said and left for the sitting lounge.
