Fenja didn't say anything; she only followed Dax, and on their way to the car, she didn't talk much. She was drained and wanted to sleep.
Therefore, she didn't even ask about why the Alpha didn't come. She thought if it were important, Dax or Ganter would tell her; thus, seeing them say nothing, she chose to sleep on their way back to the pack house.
Dax woke her up when they arrived and opened the door for her.
"Thank you," Fenja said in a small voice and waved them goodbye.
After that, she entered the house, and to her surprise, she found Alpha Jaxon sitting in the living room, drinking his wine, as if nothing had happened.
He smirked when he saw her walk in.
"You look beautiful in that dress," Jaxon commented, but his compliment sounded like he was mocking her.
