The car rolled to a stop in front of a swanky restaurant.
Gloria finally got a chance to speak.
"Thanks for agreeing to help her. I'll cooperate fully with the investigation over the next few days. Here's my number, Mr. Windsor. You can reach me anytime."
She handed her number to Lucas and opened the car door. Just as she was about to step out, Sebastian grabbed her wrist from behind. "Did I say you could leave?"
Gloria's heart skipped a beat, and she sat back down.
"Is there something else? I've already explained everything. If you rescue Elodie, you'll get the info you want.
You won't lose out." She braced herself to negotiate with Sebastian. "I'm not running. I just need to find a job and make some money."
Sebastian yanked her closer.
