When Shikamaru finally caught up with Sakura and the others, he learned that three days had passed since his encounter with Uchiha Madara. The Akatsuki members had already left, leaving behind the corpse of the Animal Path, one of the Six Paths of Pain, as well as the lifeless body of Gaara, whose One-Tailed Shukaku had been extracted.
"Why... why Gaara of all people?" Naruto cried out in anguish, collapsing beside Gaara's body. He understood Gaara's loneliness and suffering better than anyone else.
"Gaara can still be saved. Let me do it," Chiyo suddenly declared, stepping forward from the shadows.
Sasori of the Red Sand had directly caused the death of the Third Kazekage, turning him into a living puppet. He was also indirectly responsible for the Fourth Kazekage's demise. Now, Gaara had fallen victim to Sasori's actions as well.
As Sasori's grandmother, Chiyo felt deeply indebted to Sunagakure. Her only chance at redemption was to save Gaara, even if it cost her own life.
"S-Rank Secret Technique: Self-Life Reincarnation!"
A dense aura of life force erupted from Chiyo's hands, flowing ceaselessly into Gaara's body.
Shikamaru had been observing from the sidelines, his Five Elements Shadow Eye activated. With a swift rotation, he copied Chiyo's Forbidden Technique. Through careful observation, he realized Chiyo was merely transferring her own Life Force to Gaara through a specialized method.
So, as long as there's enough Life Force, resurrection is possible? Shikamaru mused inwardly. If that's the case, even if I used the Self-Life Reincarnation Technique to revive ten people simultaneously, my own Life Force wouldn't be depleted. Thanks to the Life Force absorbed by the Shadow Wood, my current reserves are terrifyingly vast!
Silently retracting his Shadow Eye, Shikamaru watched as Chiyo's body slumped lifelessly, her Life Force completely exhausted. After exchanging a few final words with Naruto, she passed away.
Gaara gradually regained consciousness soon after.
Upon returning to Konoha, Shikamaru's household gained another member, Matsuri, of course. Without lingering at home, Shikamaru immediately headed to Anbu headquarters.
"Mai! Where's Nami, the girl Sakura and Hanabi brought back?" Shikamaru asked Mai Shiranui, summoning her.
He had also learned that Nami and her son, Inari, who had returned with Sakura and Hanabi, had already enrolled in the ninja academy and were residing there. Naturally, Nami had moved into Shikamaru's home.
"She's in the detention cell, honey!" Mai Shiranui replied immediately.
"Mm! Let's go check on her," Shikamaru said, wrapping his arm around Mai's slender waist and hurrying toward Nami's detention cell.
Moments later, Shikamaru arrived with Mai in his arms. As the door swung open, he immediately spotted Nami sitting on the bed.
"Shikamaru!" Nami exclaimed in alarm, her eyes wide with fear. He's the one who killed the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon!
"Heh heh! Miss Nami, are you alright?" Shikamaru chuckled softly, slowly approaching her.
"Ah... don't come any closer!" Nami cried out in terror as Shikamaru advanced. She remembered all too well how he had treated her before. Is he really going to do it on me this time?!
Whoosh!
Before Nami could react, Shikamaru's hand clamped around her neck, pinning her to the bed.
A dense aura of shadow energy erupted from Shikamaru's hand, surging relentlessly into Nami's body. He wasn't trying to do it; he was trying to enter her body!
"Mai! Keep watch and don't let anyone disturb me!" Shikamaru murmured to Mai Shiranui.
"Got it, honey!" Mai Shiranui giggled, slamming the door shut and standing guard. She then heard Shikamaru's final incantation:
"Shadow Ninja Art - True Shadow Possession!"
Instead of merely sending a sliver of his soul into Nami's body, Shikamaru left only a trace of his consciousness in his physical form, transforming his entire being into a true shadow that burrowed into Nami's body. Nami had already fallen unconscious.
Once inside Nami's body, Shikamaru used his extraordinary mental power to sense the location of the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon's seal and immediately entered the sealed chamber.
He found himself in an enormous cavern, within which stood a massive prison cell sealed by thick iron chains. A sealing talisman floated above the cell, and through the bars, Shikamaru could clearly see a pair of colossal cat eyes snap open.
"Roar~ How is this possible? Human, how did you get in here?" The Nine-Tailed Cat Demon's grating voice echoed through the cavern.
Shikamaru didn't answer, continuing his examination. He realized the chains were connected to Nami's mental consciousness, explaining how she could release the demon. Otherwise, the only way to break the seal would have been to destroy the talisman itself.
"Human! Answer me now!" The Nine-Tailed Cat Demon roared again, its voice now deeper and calmer, having recovered from its initial shock.
"Duh! That's how I got in, obviously!" Shikamaru scoffed. His eyes had adjusted to the dim light, allowing him to clearly see the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon's form within the prison cell.
The Nine-Tailed Cat Demon wanted to roar in anger again, but restrained himself. Instead, he asked Shikamaru, "What do you want here?"
"Nothing much. Just a few questions," Shikamaru replied casually, showing no fear that the demon might refuse to cooperate.
"Hmph~ Do I have to answer you?" the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon huffed.
"You don't have a choice," Shikamaru said flatly. It seemed the demon wouldn't cooperate without a threat. Besides, Shikamaru disliked the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon's arrogant attitude.
"Shadow Ninjutsu - Shadow Imitation Technique!"
"Shadow Ninjutsu - Shadow Neck Bind Technique!"
"Shadow Ninjutsu - Shadow Deprivation Technique!"
Shikamaru unleashed a series of Shadow Ninjutsu techniques. Trapped in the cell, the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon had no way to evade. With a surge of mental energy, Shikamaru immediately seized control of the demon's shadow.
"Wait! Ah... Kid! What are you doing?!" the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon cried out in alarm, instantly realizing Shikamaru was pulling at his shadow. Though he didn't know exactly what would happen if his shadow was taken, he knew it couldn't be good.
"Let me be honest with you," Shikamaru said calmly, stopping his movements. "If I deprive you of your shadow, you'll never see the sun again. You'll die."
Boom!
Wh-what?! The Nine-Tailed Cat Demon's pupils instantly contracted. Never see the sun again? The demon immediately understood Shikamaru's ability, its heart pounding with shock. I was still hoping to return to the Human Realm someday!
"Human! Ask your questions..." The Nine-Tailed Cat Demon immediately lowered its posture.
"Alright. First, tell me your real name. 'Nine-Tailed Cat Demon' is just a title for your true form," Shikamaru said, retracting his shadow. He had no intention of taking the demon's shadow, not yet, at least. His body couldn't handle it. He was just trying to scare the demon.
"Yoruichi! My name is Yoruichi!" the demon immediately answered cooperatively.
Shikamaru's mind went blank. No way! Yoruichi? Isn't that the name of the cat from Bleach?
"Second question: Are you male or female?" Shikamaru asked, his voice now tinged with suspicion. He couldn't rely on the demon's voice; after all, the Yoruichi from Bleach was a stunningly beautiful woman!
"I'm a woman, you idiot! Hurry up and ask your questions! Don't waste my nap time!" Yoruichi, the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon, snapped angrily, annoyed by the irrelevant questions.
"Uh... Miss Yoruichi, please don't get angry! Third question: can you transform into a human?" Shikamaru's tone immediately shifted after learning Yoruichi was female.
Silence... Yoruichi paused before slowly replying, "No, I can't. I haven't reached that level yet. It's a state beyond even the Nine-Tailed Beast's form!"
Her voice filled with longing and reverence as she spoke.
"I see..." Shikamaru murmured before finally asking the questions he truly wanted answered: information about the Ten-Tailed Beast and the Eight-Headed Serpent. Most importantly, he needed to know the serpent's whereabouts. With such a powerful entity still lurking in Naruto, it would be disastrous if it suddenly resurfaced without warning.
"I don't know!" Yoruichi replied. "I only remember that the Eight-Headed Serpent seemed to flee to another world in the end. It probably won't return."
As their conversation continued, Yoruichi found herself enjoying the exchange. It had been ages since she'd spoken so much. She no longer harbored resentment over the loss of her tail.
"Really, Miss Yoruichi! Then I'll be going now. I'll come visit you again next time!" Shikamaru said, his body dissolving into shadow as he departed from Nami's body and returned to his own.
"Hmph~ Couldn't you have stayed and chatted a little longer?" Yoruichi said with a hint of coquettishness after Shikamaru left.
Back outside, Shikamaru gazed at Nami, who lay unconscious in his arms. Her sweet, sleeping posture and delicate features were endlessly captivating. His conversation with Yoruichi had left him in high spirits.
He had learned that in ancient times, the world had been ruled by three great demon kings: the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon, the Eight-Headed Serpent, and the Ten-Tailed Beast. But the trio eventually fell into conflict. The Ten-Tailed Beast first allied with the Eight-Headed Serpent to severely wound the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon, forcing it to flee and hide within the bloodline of a human clan. The seals were self-imposed by the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon to prevent its human hosts from being unable to bear its power and exploding upon birth. Even Yoruichi couldn't break these seals; only humans could unlock them.
As for the Ten-Tailed Beast and the Eight-Headed Serpent, who had initially agreed to divide the world between them, they unexpectedly turned on each other in perfect synchronicity. The Eight-Headed Serpent was gravely wounded and forced to flee, eventually escaping to another world.
Shikamaru already knew that the Ten-Tailed Beast had been destroyed by the Six Paths, its original form sealed on the moon, and its power transformed into the Nine Tailed Beasts that existed today.
"Yoruichi! After evolving, will her human form look like Yoruichi from Bleach?" Shikamaru muttered to himself. I should definitely try to get on her good side!
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Shikamaru cast a predatory glance at the unconscious Nami. With a swift motion, he reached into her clothes. Nami was his captive now; it would be a waste not to enjoy her! Moreover, claiming Nami would bring the Nine-Tailed Cat Demon under his control.
Just as Shikamaru had stripped Nami completely naked, she finally awoke. Realizing her situation, she immediately let out a terrified scream.
"Ah... Shikamaru-sama, please don't!"
Hearing Nami's desperate pleas from inside the prison cell, Mai Shiranui cursed Shikamaru under her breath. Yet she didn't find him repulsive; instead, she saw him as a true man who took what he wanted without hesitation. Soon, the sounds from within the cell left Mai's legs weak and her lower body burning with desire.
Nami's pleas for mercy relentlessly fueled Shikamaru's arousal. Finally, he forcefully parted her slender legs, his clone aligning itself with her beautiful opening. With a powerful thrust, he pierced her maidenhood with a wet pop.
"Ah..." Nami's cry of pain only intensified Shikamaru's excitement. He couldn't believe he'd managed to bed Nami after transmigrating to Naruto. Though she wasn't the same Nami from One Piece, her appearance and name were identical!
The sounds of Shikamaru ravishing Nami echoed through the prison cell. Eventually, having tasted the pleasures of lovemaking, Nami began to actively cooperate with his thrusts, spreading her delicate thighs wide.
"Mai! Come in..." After pounding Nami into unconsciousness, Shikamaru immediately summoned Mai Shiranui, who had been guarding the door.
