Chapter 1 - Axis

"It's over, Amuro! Axis is now free falling to Earth!" He heard Char as he watched Axis break apart into two pieces from the interior explosion Londo Bell caused to stop it only to backfire. The lower half of Axis is now descending to Earth!

"You don't know that if you don't try! I'll push that useless piece of rock with the Nu Gundam!" He barked back at Char. Moving at the bottom at the giant piece of rock hurtling towards Earth, Amuro slammed Char's cockpit into its surface as he began to push the piece of Axis with the Nu Gundam.

"It's useless, Amuro. Don't you think that Earth's people are just using you? You're wasting your talents for those vermin!" Char sneered, trying to persuade him.

"You're pathetic, Char." Amuro grunted, pushing the Nu Gundam's thrusters into its maximum limit and beyond its safety.

"Unlike you, I'm patient enough to let people learn and change!" Yet despite his efforts, it was still not enough.

Axis is still falling.

Suddenly, multiple Mobile Suit signatures came alive and fast approaching his position.

"No no no, go away." Amuro begged in horror as multiple GM III from 88th fleet came to help him, slamming their suits to the falling Axis and trying to push back.

"Go away! All of you!" Amuro screamed. Unlike the Nu Gundam, the GM III is not equipped enough for atmospheric re-entry. With Axis being pulled to Earth, their suits will be subjected to intense heat in atmospheric entry.

"Your suits won't hold!" He reasons for them.

"Can't kid. We can't just let Londo Bell take all the credit. Sorry for arriving late." A pilot replied through the comms.

"You?" Amuro looked at the man's suit. Already he can see it unfolding due to the intense heat. Why would they sacrifice themselves like this? Can't they see that they're just gonna die doing it?!

Then more signatures came.

"Geara Dogas, too!" Amuro was astonished. Even Zeon soldiers too? The same soldiers that fought to drop Axis. Why?

"No, it's no use! Get back all of you!" Yet they also ignored his warnings.

"Earth's fate lies in the balance. It's worth a try!" The Zeon pilot replied with certainty. Their decision is final and for once gambling their fate through faith.

Faith that war is not useless.

Faith that people will finally change.

Faith to the ones who will lead to peace.

Even if they won't be able to see it.

"But some of you are already exploding. It's no use! You'll destroy yourselves by the heat and overload!" Amuro can't believe them. They're throwing away their lives.

Already, multiple suits have imploded from the intense heat and killed their pilots. Yet after seeing both enemies and allies alike die in a fiery explosion, they still remain. They're resolved unshaken.

They will push the Axis with their very lives.

"Don't do this! Get out of here now! Gundam will... Gah!" Amuro begged them to leave yet none listened to him, he instead found himself dislodged from his seat and clinging to it to regain control of the Nu.

"Don't you realize Amuro? In the end, only sorrow will spread across until it destroys Earth. Why won't you get it?"

Amuro ignored Char, he ignored the sound of dying men and women sacrificing themselves for a better future. He instead pulled his entire focus to one goal.

Save everyone.

"The Nu...will save them!" Amuro roared as he reached the controls.

At that moment, everything ceased to exist for Amuro.

-----------------------------

Far away from Axis, both EFF and Zeon forces watch as Axis is enveloped in a massive aurora. They look upon in awe at the supernatural phenomena, not understanding what is truly happening. Awe turns to bewilderment as multiple Mobile Suits are thrown away from Axis, the same Mobile Suits who took upon themselves to stop Axis in exchange for their lives.

The pilots themselves are confused and relieved. Confused as to what had happened and relieved for their lives.

Then Axis' descent was halted and by a miracle, it was being pushed away from Earth.

Amuro Ray did it. He saved Earth and its people, the soldiers who joined him in sacrifice and the future.

Yet he was gone.

Upon recovery of the Nu Gundam, its pilot was nowhere to be seen. Beside it, Char's broken cockpit is also empty.

The Hero of the OYW and the Red Comet are simply gone.

--------------

"Alexi? What did I tell you about designing weapons on the table?" A brown haired man chastised his six year old son as the boy worked on his Data Pad on the dinner table, displaying the inner workings of a very complicated design of a weapon.

A Beam Rifle.

"... Not to...Sorry." The boy pushed down his Data Pad at the mistake he committed, looking crestfallen.

Alex Lenox, the boy's father, sighs at his son's behavior. The boy is just too introverted, lonely, reclusive and depressed for his own good. The last one is a total mystery for him and as a parent, it's the most concerning.

"Dinners Ready!" His darling wife, Melody, his music in life, finally came with dinner. Trailing behind her is a small army of round automatons named Haro, a creation of his son.

Despite his issues, Alexi is a genius and brilliant boy and he is proud of it. It's just that his ideas and way of thinking are pretty...

Archaic.

Together with the Haro army, a well laid out feast is ready for tonight's family dinner. A family of three, a well-off Zenith husband, a Melody wife and their strange son.

It's a small yet harmonious family.

Yet unaware of the turmoil of their only son.

-----------------

'What a strange place.'

At his rebirth, Amuro didn't have a clue of what was happening. He doesn't know where he is nor what has happened for him to be reborn back as a baby.

For a while, he had the privilege of becoming a man inside of a baby. Years of embarrassing memories are locked up deep within his head. He doesn't want to recollect such memories and better leave them behind.

By the time he was able to talk and walk on his own, he became independent much to his mother's happiness and disappointment when she could no longer have her baby.

Melody, his new mother, wasn't a bad one per say. She is just too overbearing and has too much love to give. Unlike his father's calm demeanor, his mother is akin to a storm that would sweep anyone with her energy.

How the two became a couple still remains a mystery for Amuro.

Then there is the fact that he is on a different planet. He suspected it on the day of his birth when he found himself watching nurses and doctors using medical apparatus that are too far advanced for Earth's technology and the casual display of breaking the laws of physics by Magic.

Magic exists.

It was apparent when he grew up watching his mother use magic in her daily life for chores and taking care of him. His mother did like him look in wonder whenever she's using magic. In truth, he was in awe and mesmerized by the possibilities of what a person can do with magic.

Especially in Technological development.

Zenith, the planet he was born on, is a perfect example of technology and magic coming together to form a perfect society. Zenith itself is a freezing cold world, a perfect condition for their technological advances. Dependent on their technology, Zenith's people have a high standard of living, far more advanced compared to the Universal Century.

In comparison, Zenith is the perfect future that Earth thrives to be one someday.

Now, he just needs to learn how to activate his own magic if he has one. His new mother is a fairy afterall so he probably has magic.

He just needs to experiment.

--------------------

That day, Melody sheepishly carried her three year old boy as Alex looked at his poor hover car.

Amuro didn't dare look at his new Dad in embarrassment, deciding to hide in his mother's embrace and long blonde hair.

How's he gonna know that he could fling the freaking car towards their neighbor's second floor by accidental magic?
