“Father, please grant his request,” she said in a soft, trembling voice, lowering her eyes at the appropriate moment. She had done something similar on numerous accounts, so it was easy now. “I give their love my blessings.”
“Nia.”
“I don’t want to marry the prince. I want to live with you forever, Father,” she interrupted, looking as genuine as possible. “I-I’m, really… fine.”
The emperor openly displayed his disdain for her, clicking his tongue and releasing a deep sigh.
“I don’t want to get in the way of their love. I wish for the two of them to be happy.”
