“…What?”
“She told me during her proposal that she would grant me freedom. I believe she meant that I was free to pursue another woman. She has no romantic feelings for me at all.”
Uriel was already aware of that, but he felt a sense of relief upon hearing Kylion’s last statement. Slowly, he turned around to face Kylion.
“So?”
“That means she’s free to love whomever she desires, and anyone is free to love her…”
Kylion trailed off at the end of his sentence, observing Uriel’s expression, while Uriel made an effort to maintain a neutral expression as he looked back at him.
“…is what I planned on telling you. You like her after all.”
In spite of all that time he had remained calm, a frown suddenly appeared on Uriel’s face. But Kylion smirked as if he knew everything.
