Beside Apollonia stood Uriel Viche, and Perris hadn’t sensed his presence, yet it seemed as if he had traveled in the carriage with her.
Perris blinked a few more times. Only then did he notice the wind he hadn’t registered earlier due to his tension.
They were in a vast field, devoid of any buildings, people, or animals, except for Apollonia, Uriel, and Perris himself. It felt somewhat desolate.
Perris pushed aside his fear, now feeling a wave of confusion.
He had no idea where he was or if he was caught in a dream.
Apollonia glanced at him momentarily before lowering her head, her expression unreadable.
“You’ve got my title wrong, Perris,” she chided.
Perris froze, his gaze fixed on Apollonia.
“…You were at my coronation, and you want to pretend you don’t know?”
Apollonia raised an eyebrow as she spoke again.
